If you were King or Queen for the day, what changes would you make to football?! 🤔
"If a player insults a referee, send them outside for 10 minutes to cool down. Go cycling to warm up before coming back in. We can learn from handball in that respect," Ittrich says (German FIFA referee) . 😂😂😂
What the hell is this pointless royalist egotistical Henry-worshipping segment? Seriously asking that was so unnecessary
No subs at additional time or after 85mins.
I do like the rule about referees giving a press conference after a game.
Two changes I would make;
1)Only your feet can be offside. Your body has to balance itself when you are running, you shouldn't be punished for a sleeve being offside.
2) The player who earns the penalty scores it. If it's a handball, the player who crosses it takes the penalty. This would stop stat-padding, add more excitement to the game, and give the keepers a better chance of saving penalties. Penalties are awarded too cheaply sometimes for unlucky moments like handballs. This shouldn't mean that the other team gets an 80% free goal, they didn't earn it.
All joking about aside, Thierry's suggestions are pure gold. Man knows the Beautiful Game.
💯💯💯💯💯…. Absolutely brilliant!
Base on his first suggestion, tiki taka would have resulted in constant freekicks for the other team.
Great suggestions, I think not
.
@@gost3480 tiki taka is not time wasting. he is referring to wasting time at goal kicks or throw-ins. it is legal time-wasting when the ball is on the field.
I'm wondering though about the 1 point per 3+ goal. Could there be an incentive for a team, that is going to win anyway, to purposefully allow their opposing team to score 3 goals just so they can get an additional point and perhaps affect the league standing in some way. For example, if by giving the losing team 1 additional point they knock out some other rivaling team, or prevent them from falling out of the league.
I wonder if there could be this kind of unexpected side effect.
This would be matchfixing and should be investigated @@zeytelaloi
Henry’s facial expressions are too funny; he’s a natural comedian
and 100% he bang Kate big time
4:43 that Monaco sporting director point by Jamie and Thiery's reaction 😂😂😂
This should be top comment, hilarious from both of them. Henry's points are all valid though, in a perfect world they would all be made mandatory
Thanks for translating Jamie's Scouse for us
What does he say there? I can't figure it out.
@@kbertan I can hear “Sporting Director at Monaco”, but that’s not enough to fully understand the joke :/

The extra points for more goals is actually great! It would provoke more attacking football. Also the refs having to talk to the press would solve a lot of confusion and conspiracy theories.
Man city would finish a season with 200 points
nah that would be stupid.
@@flakko9149not really. You'd only be able to get 38 extra points for the entire season. In the epl anyway.
I think the rule would create situations where teams will collude to ensure that both sides get the extra point.
Might as well make it 0-0 are worth 0 points
this show is so fantastic. it needs to be an hour long weekly show covering the top 5 leagues. cbs should pay these guys top money for it and air it in Britain. even throw clint dempsey on the panel and they'd get a lot of Americans watching and getting into football
dempsy would get bullied

Big respect for Thierry bringing up Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs and what coach Pop did before drafting Tim Duncan.
As it turned out, one of the best Coach-Superstar Athlete relationships in pro sports.
True! And Henry has witnessed Pop’s greatness first hand, given he is close friend with Parker and came to visit him countless times in San Antonio !
And Pop wasn't even sure that Timmy understood english, as he kept staring at him silently 😆
Nah he’s paid to say it
Henry's smirk when he drops a joke is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Adjusting the crown as well 😆😆 4:50
As a rugby fan, I'll say that the bonus point and the refferee using a mic have only brought positives to that sport, and football should definitely follow. Specially the refferees and VAR's using mics, as that is a pivotal part of the VAR in rugby that didn't carry over to footballs version, resulting in VAR in football being more of controversy maker than a controversy solver
Bonus points would be a disaster, are you stupid?
The 1 point for 3 goals is genius. Encourages teams to play offensive attractive football even against better opposition because they may rescur a point
The best foursome in football TV imo. Chemistry between them is off the charts. Always love watching them.
right up there with inside the nba. never thought that show would be matched, but these four are just phenomenal

carra did him dirty. Good one though..
Thank you for transcribing because I kept playing it back but never got what what he said.
This is the best show for football analysis...I'd have this over Match of the day and Monday Night Football any day
To be fair, in the US we had to suffer through Fox Sports and ESPN massacring the sport for years but in the end it was all worth it because we got these guys as well as Rebecca Lowe and the Two Robbies/Tim Howard/Other Guests on NBCSN
@@tycommenting8408 two robbies are elite, couldn't care for time howard he doesn't add anything
Nah Keano is the best
Try tifo football. Higher level analysis.
Give Henry the keys to FIFA! All great points and incredibly well thought out for a segment that was meant to entertain. 👏🏽
If FIFA can monetize his ideas sure
Refs having a presser after matches is a brilliant idea.
Not new, but much needed, even should be micked up when making decisions with var atleast
Thierry is a legend. This whole crew is golden.. This cast...the gift that keeps on giving! .
Henry was completely loved one in his entire football career and still continues...... He can be even a best movie start with many talents our hero!!!
Thierry is already a movie star. Check out Entourage!
6:51 - Kate's reaction...Priceless 😀 Noticed at 2:22 also, she cleverly pulled closer to get into the conversation. So great that King Titi dedicated his last rule entirely to her. My man 😎👈
Titi is truly a kind and generous king.
2:38 GOLD “i don’t rlly care” 😂
Thierry is a legend. This whole crew is golden.
Henry talking about time wasting. Him and Pires were masters at it. 😂😂
Nonsense. Wenger teams always played.
@@bahriboy mate. I support Arsenal and there were games when Arsenal were winning by the odd goal. Henry and pires will take the ball to the corner flag and waste time by holding their feet on the ball. It's the same thing but done in a different away.
Was that botched penalty really time wasting? 😂
@@GoGetYourShinebox lol no holding the ball on the corner flag.
@@musharafhussain2316That's not the "dark arts" they were talking about. That's a playing tactic. They're talking about wasting time when the ball is out of play.
I like all Thierry's ideas. If only those who run football weren't 40 years behind ideas like this, it'd improve the game so much more.
The extra points for 3 goals is rubbish tho. Even worse it you give more than 1 extra point per game for goals.
@@gcbryan89 it’s a nice idea.
@@kemj9 how is an idea nice if it can be easily exploited??
@@gcbryan89 It make it more interesting to play offensive than as a wall. Rugby really profit from this rule, the match are more turn to conquest than just pure possession like before.
It also make it that teams will always have something to gain by playing to the last minute. Imagine the lasts games of the season when teams fight every damn points.
You also need to take in consideration how people "consume" sports nowadays, more and more, they limit themselves to the highlights. It is a way to keep up with the time we live in (I don't like it but it is a reality)
@@sebastienpetrein5541 then there have to be a rule to prevent this rule from getting exploited first. While it is true that they would want to promote more attacking football, I really really hope they don't change the game to favour people who just want to watch highlights.
Best football show I think I’ve seen and enjoyed so much! What a team! Hilarious moments that are priceless!
This cast...the gift that keeps on giving! ❤👏🏽
Such good chemistry on that panel, brilliant.
This crew is creative 🤏🤏🤏
King Henry with the royal rizz at the end!
When they speak on the greatness of TNT with Ernie, Shaq, Kenny, and Chuck | I can honestly say that Kate, Micah, Jamie, and Thierry are the equivalent to football! They are LEGENDS & transformed the game!
I love Henry's humor and the looks he gives
Thierry Henry knocked that out the park with that Kate bringing a radiator comment 🥶😂😂😂
KING HENRY!
The problem with the additional points is it would just give rich teams even more points at the top of the league, because they score loads of goals most weeks anyway. It would widen the gap even further.
Also, when it comes to the PL, it's already an attacking league anyway, teams generally don't need extra motivation to attack even more.
Smaller clubs have lopsided games too. For example, Everton 5-1 Brighton.
Just admit it, it's good idea, no downside to it. It should be enhanced by also adding 1 point for any team with a cleansheet.
@@achillesglacia7700 Why would I admit a bad idea is a good idea? The downsides are numerous.
You're just a stickler who hates change... Nothing wrong with that rule
Let me lay it out for you, scoring 3 goals in any game is a tall order, needs to be rewarded, very much so.
Two changes I would make;
1)Only your feet can be offside.
This shouldn't mean that the other team gets an 80% free goal, they didn't earn it.
players can score from their shoulder chest head except the hand so yah body does and should count as an offside
i like the 2nd point... it be like a shooting foul in the basketball i guess where the person whos fouled takes the shot as you mentioned .
thumbs up
First change is good, second change is trying to Americanise football - stop it.
@@sebaraghi4576 what's wrong with using good things about other games and adding it to your own for a fair, better experience. You think VAR was the first live video play back footage used in a sport?
@@VacillantPoizn It’s wrong because it doesn’t make the game better, penalty taking is a skill, and having a designated penalty taker is an aspect, and getting rid of that would lose an aspect of the game to just replace it with an American standard
I don’t know who put these four together, but it works. They are very entertaining
this is a hilarious show, i love it!!
0:01 - 0:05 Tf was that in the background 🤣🤣
"Oh you're following me, I like that" 😂. Micah "my man" Tity "you kkow" 😂
My man. Said it like Denzel Washington 😂😂😂😂😂
You got money in either pocket, right? Pay the bill!!!
How can Thierry be a master on the pitch, a genius football brain, a great analyst and a natural comedian? He’s so charming. At 14 years old, I hated this man. Now, he’s charmed the socks off me 😂
I think a point for scoring 3+ goals should only be for a draw of defeat. A 3-3 draw gives both teams 2 points.
A 4-3 win gives the winner 3 points and the loser 1 point.
It means that teams losing 5-2 would push for a last minute 3rd goal rather than both teams just going flat.
The trouble with giving the extra point to the winning team is that big teams will get so many extra points on top of all the wins that the gap between them and the rest will grow.
It's a bad idea. It overcomplicates points, could cause match fixing & completely disincentivises defending
A point for 3 goals is such a good idea! It rewards teams by doing the hardest thing, which is scoring goals. You can’t help but feel sorry for Leicester in that game. They deserve at least a point
Which game? If it's the Fulham 5-3 then they deserved fuck all. Were comprehensively outclassed by a midtable team missing three of their best players and only got a foot in after they subbed off their next 5 best players. In other words Leicester did nothing until playing basically Fulham's championship team. They were embarrassing
but then everton, Forest and southampton would have got a bonus point too
@@ygnir1 I think that’s great!
as an admittedly biased Fulham fan, I think Leicester's goals capitalized on the fact that Fulham assumed they had already won the game and switched off defensively for the second half.
Let in 5 you deserve nothing.
Awesome player and a person salute King Mr. Henry :) !
Tim Duncan was an interesting example -- there was absolutely zero chance the Spurs weren't drafting him. Nice gesture by Popovich, but he was not going there to do any type of evaluation, more like welcoming him.
Kate just stayed there and listem the while time and did not interrupt 😢😢😢 what a gem
2:30 has me rolling😂😂😂😂
These make me feel like a kid hahaha whoever put this group together thx this is gold
The gift we didn't know we needed 😂
1. Stop the match clock when the ball goes out of play, not free kick. (You'll also need to make games 60 mins long, since that's roughly how long the ball is actually in play during 90 min matches).
2. Gonna wreak havoc with statistical analysis, but I weirdly like it. Would transform the sport to become more attacking.
King Jafa Jafa! Welcome to America 😂😂😂❤
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Henry is all the way in rugby! I'd also add that the Ref will only speak to the Captain and no one else. At least in this regard, you'd have more respect for your captain and the Sir/Ma'am that's officiating the match.
I liked hearing someone like Henry bringing in ideas from other sports.
They already have VAR, but TMO in rugby i believe solves more issues (most of the time. You might have 1 or 2 that you can't decipher) and is "more" transparent, were as in Association Football it is less transparent and asks more questions than it answers.
The best football channel out there
Its fitting. 👑
Thank you, I appreciate it.
He looks so good in that outfit ngl 👑
very interesting rules, I wish we study these more and they add these rules in a way clear
Some of these are great suggestions. The ref’s should 100% have to speak with the press because they can give a goal away just as easily as any player.
I also think the temporary sub for a head injury or any potential life threatening injury would be a great idea. I think safety should be the main priority of the game for players, coaches, fans and anyone involved with the game, and i dont think we cannot truly say this is happening when there will be the pressure put on from management, coaches and other players since they are down to 10 men…. When i say this i specifically am even thinking of the time mourinioh criticised the female physio at Chelsea and caused a whole issue.
Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.
i love these guys lol
I love you guys. Number one show in the whole world.
Nah Ernie, Chuck, Kenny & Shaq are better imo
The third rule is actually great
He is a king 👑 he doesn’t need a crown
The faces that he makes is what kills me 😂
Gotta love this panel

Love this panel
So incredibly proud that Thierry Henry played for my club man. He’s the 🐐 The KING.
When he said “ma man”. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Henry is always the king 👑 not just a day
Thierry and Micah are GOLD.
Best show on the net !
Thierry basically watched a game of rugby and was like i'll have all of those rules, please and thanks 😂😂😂
Yea. Most of his suggestions are inspired from rugby
Rugby does do a lot of things better than football especially miking up the referees but I think the head injury sub idea actually first started in GAA sports where a “blood sub” could come on when a player had to get assessed and the game more or less doesn’t stop at all for an injury and this would really help stop time wasting
As an Arsenal fan from San Antonio, I really appreciate the shoutout to Coach Pop
My football wish : The back of the goal frame and net have lights that flash whenever the ball crosses the goal line.. it would look epic during a night game!
The referee law part you came up with is for real.. very true. It has to come to the FIFA's table for discussion and be practiced. FIFA has got an amazing idea and insight from our legend!!! Thank you
"What if you get seven?"
Lmao
2nd one is also like a bonus point from rugby
Clearly Henry watches rugby, which is awesome. A lot of the discussion in rugby circles often involves ways that rugby seems to be backwards compared to other sports, but this is a good confirmation that other sports can adopt some practices that have worked well for us.
Some of these are worth considering.
Thierry is clearly a rugby fan, all the rules he came up besides the football director one are in rugby!
Thierry is gold
Shout out @ 4:03
Ayyye... 👌🏿
Excellent changes from Henry
Fifa should take note
Lol "ok, thank you, i appreciate it" 😂😂😂
Haha love this. Some of his ideas... Not the worst I've ever heard. Considering you used to be able to qualify for Europe in England via the 'Fair Play League' 😂
Carragher brought up what they should do with players faking head injuries. I personally think that if a player is caught intentionally faking a head injury, he should be given a yellow card. Some situations will be harder to judge if they are intentional, but that goes for many rules in football
I think Henry has been watching rugby lately with a few of these rules..
Henry for king 👑 loves these changes
Feel like going over the games, and creating a table for the prem based on the +1 point for 3 goals or more
Then maybe a table with +1 point for cleansheets too just to see if there are any drastic changes
Yeah, creating a table like that and check the changes it has on the leagues over the course of several years in the past could be interesting, but in reality teams with full knowledge of this rule would be bad imon
These are all rugby points which have brought great things to that game
Honestly, all these would be great additions
I feel like the time wasting calls would be cause for controversy but smartly, the ref having to explain himself after and wear a mic could remedy that problem
Agree with the injury sub 💯
