    Excellent micro analysis, esp on the footwork on D. I'm not sure if Hauser was similar when he got drafted but clearly, the player development coaches did a great job with him & of course he put in the efforts. The important thing here Schiermen has high IQ, & showed efforts D & never looked lost on D (unlike Luka & Kyrie). So the footwork & stance drills can help him to hold his own, with this coaching staff & these top notch defensive players Celtics have.

      @niknba it's OK, buddy. Look at it another way, Pritchard is an ass in real life [by my standards, I'm totally lost as to why an Oregon boy has achieved this]
      "What, Claire, has he done to you?"
      The utterly unthinkable.
      He married a social influencer, who must be the mastermind... mistressmind... behind a mortifying ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SHOOT! On Cape Cod! Replete with bended knee!
      Ewwwwww. Is that a thing?
      I have a house on Martha's Vineyard. If someone asked someone to marry them, it would be in filthy shorts held up by rope, with some rando T shirt found on the beach. Bucket of blue crab optional. Dog reeking of a dead fish it blissfully rolled in.
      That's the real deal.
      On the other side of an exclusive locked gate true, and an 800 acre "pond " where Obama vacationed for several years [and I could theoretically walk to but I don't. Too many perils like new dead animals for potential rolling in.
      Never look at those sandy beach engagement photos, or you'll have to wash your eyes out...
      Edit. This is why women should be banned from the comment section

    Excellent vid nik! now i have something to point to when people say baller shooterman is just a svi replacement/sam insurance. Been saying this since the draft, he's more pp replacement than sam. he's multi-skilled and can literally run the point. from what i've seen he has better passing chops than PP. his passing is almost as elite as his shooting. he did play backup pg for creighton too. he is our backup pg of the future.
    i am very high on this pick. i've changed my comp on him to a young, better shooting gordon hayward. especially with those turnaround or stop middies he likes to shoot.
    I'm glad to hear what you said about his defensive clips. its not as bad as i thought then.

    • @jackbenimble999
      @jackbenimble999 Місяць тому +1

      I like your take on him being a PP replacement. This might sound insanely stupid, but I see him as poor man's Luka Doncic, by that I mean his scoring, passing, rebounding and not so great on defense. I do think Hayward was far more athletic, though.

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 Місяць тому +2

      @@jackbenimble999 yeah i was referring to celtics hayward but of course younger in age.
      Yeah i got the luka comp too. The way hes generally slow but good at controlling speeds and using his shoulder/fakes to create space.
      PP will eventually want another extension 2-3Y from now and he will want something closer to the MLE or even above it. He will price himself out of our range. We will eventually be forced to trade him or let him walk. Such is the life of a 2nd apron team. Same thing will happen to sam after that too. Brad's never going to pay a bench player 10+M while the starting 5 is intact and getting paid similar amounts. By the time baylor wants that level of money, jrue most likely would have retired (give or take 7-8Y from now).

    Part Sam Hauser, part Kevin Love. I dig it! We need guys who really like rebounding on the bench.
    I think his role initially will be to give Tatum more time to rest during the regular season. His playmaking will fill the void that's often felt in the bench lineups when JT sits. Eventually though... he's already a good enough passer that maybe only Jrue and DWhite are better. The speed of his reads is really impressive. You want that off the bench if you can tolerate the defensive hit.

    • @niknba
      @niknba  Місяць тому +1

      Yea I think the world of who he can be as a playmaker

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 Місяць тому +2

      i say gordon hawyard. hes a point wing/forward. he's the backup pg of the future and is more pp replacement than Sam (assuming both are here). his reads, proccessing speed and passing are indeed better than everyone else on the roster not named jrue, jt, d.white. Its al level and definitely better than PP.
      the only thing really that would prevent him from getting rotation mins in the regular season is his defense. if that can get to PP levels, he'll jump to 9th man in the rotation.

    Love the off-season content!
    Love that BS is yet another 3 point sniper.
    I think the two questions surrounding BS are
    1) will his lateral quickness translate to the pros on both sides of the ball i.e. will he be able to get by close out defenders and will he be able to stay in front his man on defense?
    2) will his rebounding carry over to the pros?
    If the answer to both questions is yes, then he's gonna be the real deal. With this coaching staff and teammates I like his chances.

      Thank you! And yea if he can do those two things we might’ve found something

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 Місяць тому +1

      1. i think offensive quickness will translate as hes pretty good at changing speeds like luka does. defense though may not translate and he may look worse. i expect though the staff will put him on the sam hauser program.
      2. i expect part of the rebounding to carry over. i can see him averaging PP like rebounding numbers or slightly better. like 3-4 boards a game. a similar comp rebounding wise is torrey craig.

    I like this pick. I think he play minutes right away. But what do you think that anton watson guy? I think he can a good player. He can defend 1-5, great passer and off-ball player. He doesn’t seem like an incredibly athletic guy, but can jump higher and is quicker than tillman and grant. I hope he can improve his 3pt shot and foul shot. If he does, he can get minutes in year 2. Anyways, that was a great video nik. Very informative.

      i think the same of baller shooterman.
      anton watson is a good pick but not as polished/ready as baylor. i think anton is more g-league this year now that tillman is back. wont play outside of garbage time. baylor however would have a shot to crack the rotation/top 9.

    • @brandone3798
      @brandone3798 Місяць тому

      @@TheRobversion1 I think Anton could get minutes in year 2. If he can improve his 3pt shot and foul shot, he will be a good role player or maybe a great role player.

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 Місяць тому +1

      @@brandone3798 yup. Just not this year. We all saw you have to play both sides well to get mins from Joe. Springer was good defensively but since his jumper was broken, he couldnt even get garbage time outside of svi.
      On a sidenote. I think nba teams have too many players. Its wasted money. Theres few opportunities to play since most teams run 8-9 man rotations. 10 max. I think a team should have only a 12-man roster with 3 2W. 18 total is too much.
