The continued dig out from a record 60’+ snow fall year in Mammoth Lakes CA

- We are still trucking here in Mammoth Lakes cleaning up parking lots making additional space for residence all while continuing to dig out cabins that were buried under this massive 60 foot snowfall. Also, we are running crews frantically throughout the town, digging propane, tanks, and gas meters out for safety reasons, we have a couple more days left of trucking and we are probably going to pull the plug on that for the season but as we speak trucks are moving, the sun is out and life is good. Take a look and see how things are going for Plow Brothers and Mammoth Lakes.
Your accent reminds me of growing up in Texas. On topic, Utah is FLOODING like mad around Kaysville and North Ogden. Love your pups, scolding you for leaving them for too long.
Safety, safety, safety. Your guys are doing an amazing job both on the rooftops and digging out propane tanks, meters and lines. These are dangerous jobs. Same goes for your framing crews. Dealing with heavy equipment, heights and snow tunnels. No end to the possibility of things that could go wrong.
Lived there from 1978 to 1996. Never locked the car, my case 580c or the house. Never a problem. People that are concerned should take their fear back to the city. No worries ❤
What is your address, if you don’t mind, I’ll drop by a cake.
I watch you from Alaska your crews do an important job in what they do I would think everybody would be thankful the gas company is doing their best to make sure all the meters get safely shoveled out for the property owners. Great job y’all do it’s a tough dangerous job but has to be done. I love watching your crews and videos keep up the good work ! Be safe❤🙏
I’m so impressed on how you handle your business up front and honest.
thanks
Nice to see the kid getting new skills, and always love to see the pups; they are quite therapeutic.
I tried a new route took 138 to 14 thru the Antelope Valley; this will be my new route, I hate driving thru Adelanto. The wildflowers are in full bloom; bright yellow, gold, purple, blue...
Bud and Sadie...sweets pups. They only want to be with their pack all the time.
I am unable to truly express my thoughts: these men and women are the saviors of the Mammoth Mountain community. These men and women are titans, beasts - so tough. I'm old: in my 80's, could not imagine working with this crew for 15 minutes: I'd be in a casket. God bless these crews, the community of Mammoth Mountain, and always, bless the nation and people of our United States.
Wow! This is quite the undertaking. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
I used to work at a mortuary. Now that was a REAL undertaking!
😂
OK, joking aside, I second the positive comments and the appreciation for the HARD working crew. This being a resort, you will get a few crabapple people. Especially when they don't understand the safety measures being implemented.
I lived several years in Mammoth. So I can relate to your mission there.
Thank you.
Glad to see you are moving with more room for vehicles and equipment. I have really enjoyed your videos this year. Best of luck to you from Ohio.
You all are doing a great job for this town. They should be appreciative of the hard work you all are doing. Amaing how some people can be.
I’m so glad that you made this video. A while back someone referred to one of your employees as Pedro, only because they speaking the Spanish language between themselves. There was also crap about jobs being taken by these people that are not speaking English.
How many English as their first language people did you not hire to clear off rooftops by hand? I don’t know if I wrote that correctly, but I hope that you could understand?
Wow what hard work that is. Good job dudes🎉
You all be Blessed
Thanks for doing what you all do. God bless.
Bud just want to be with you. He sees you happy and that makes him happy. Man's best friend.
One of my favorite Channels, stumbled upon it watching snow plowing videos a couple of Months ago!
Congratulations! On the new place. Yall have work so very hard you even excuse the fear to keep pushing. Y'all Rock! 🎉
You make without a doubt, absolutely unbelievable fantastic videos!! and that is why I subscribed, To your channel!!!
Machine Men Warriors, Shovel Snow Soldiers. A very complete report of what is left...great info on snow loads and repair jobs happening.dry ground in places and of course the Twin Lakes Lodge being saved....Thank you spring has finally shoed her face !
They do make industrial sized portable snow melting machines. They are loader fed and the melted snow is discharge into the storm drains. Uses a good amount of fuel, but way faster than trucking snow off site. It's a monumental task to deal with the amount of snow that needs to be removed. It's too bad you can't load your dump trucks with an industrial snowblower, you'd get so much more snow per truck load than just using a loader. Do you have access to an excavator? That would certainly be useful in knocking down those oversized snow and ice piles. With warmer weather, you could even spread thing layers of snow over open pavement areas and just let the warm temperatures melt the snow.
man you have a lot of work ahead of you.
Eight years ago, we had quite a snowfall here in Martinsburg WV. Only about three feet, but my partner had quadruple cardiac bypass and one of the first things he said to me was," Clear the snow off the regulator." The neighbors and I dug through and found it.
Someday, you and your crew will be OG. Until then, keep your heads down and keep on trucking. We support your efforts, and we will see you in June.
You boys kick ass, b safe
Unless there’s a video and everybody has that capability on their cell phone I don’t believe any negativity. Your dudes work extremely hard shoveling that snow is a very hard work. They seem to do an excellent job.

Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Thank you for sharing
🤗🇺🇲🙏🏆
Thanks again for showing what great snow removal work you guys do. There is no where else for the snow to go. It cannot be plowed, or blown any higher It has to be front loader loaded into trucks to the pit.
The weight of snow has to be removed from the roof before they collapse.
We have a very healthy energetic 2 1/2 year old black American field Labrador.and she loves running on trails. That is her most fun running on the hiking trails with me.
Definitely a clearer picture
Thanks so much for sharing. I have really enjoyed your videos. Let your workers know how much I admire their hard work in such dangerous conditions. Is the snow much harder to remove once it becomes what I call snowcrete? You know that compacted combination of snow, ice, gravel and dirt.
Heavydsparks uploaded a video to his channel attempting to access his cabin in the Utah mountains. The walls are bowing in
Cool Beans!
Currently really cold up high at night above 9K 10F or less this AM and -6F at 11,500 this AM and staying relatively cool below that so no real fast melt yet.
Sick house! 🤙🏼🤙🏼congrats
I've been enjoying your videos for several weeks and want to commend your work ethics and improvements on communication skills through sharing such vital information. Keep up the great work! Also, awhile back, a company sent you a couple of flashlights. One was put on Sadie and the other was very small but really put out a good beam. I would love to purchase some for my family and was wondering if you could share how to obtain them? Thanks again! God bless!
Olight
OLIGHT GOBER
safety light
My son and I have been using them for the last year. We have six of them, five on dogs and one on the cat (he weighs more than two of the dogs)
All are rechargeable (once a week) and they love them. They seem to like being able to see the ground when they’re running around. For Christmas, I got two different lights (spring and Marauder mini ) both are 5 stars.
question, you talk about hauling all this snow out and taking so many truckloads. who pays for these truckloads? please explain how this system works. thanx for the videos!!
OMG! I can't believe someone might have seen someone who might have had a beer or maybe not, but definitely could possibly have been a beer!
I was so looking forward to the dog park though I am sure Sadey and Bud had a great time which is the most important thing. I hope I spelled Sadey correctly, not sure so apologies if not.
Just Karen's being Karen's bud there everywhere! Love the content! Hudson Valley NY🤙
Me too!
I can't believe you didn't have those sleds available for that pow! I know you plow but POW???
It's not too much to ask if someone perceives a problem with crewmembers to *_call the number._* Just throwing it up on YT as a comment is worthless and frankly should get all the attention it deserves, if ya pickin' up what I'm puttin' down. If his crewmembers have the integrity to wear Plow Bros shirts and hats with their number emblazoned on it, it's highly unlikely any of them are gonna risk everything to engage in something nefarious or untoward. There's easier ways to engage in criminal activity than shoveling two tons of snow every shift. And for the $ they're making, why would they? I'd consider any YT comment alleging something suspicious _suspicious_ -- and accomplishes nothing.
Great vid, I am sure all of your staff are American citizens and have a police background check and are bonded. Telling the public this should help clear up these misunderstandings. Hope all your sleds are good to go for the weekend, have a great time. Cheers
No need for citizenship to work and live in our communities.
Also no need for citizen ship to sleep and ski in this resort.
That is not necessary.
Mammoth has a new revised building code this year. Lol
How about using a rubber track mini to pull snow away from buildings. And then have the loaders move it away
What's Sadie going to do with no snow to roll in? I'm sure you will still take the to the special dog place yes? I hate moving. Good luck to you all. When the snow removal is all done the crews you have working them will they move over to the building site or are they just there for the snow?
I love your channel keep it up!!! But how many people live year round there? And how the hell can they afford it
Still snowing like crazy here in Alaska
Where are you in Alaska?
I wish I was there, melting in R.I. 87°🤷🏻🤦🏻
To be fair, winter is never over in the Sierras over 8,000 feet. I remember 18 inches once back in the late 90s Mid August. Mostly 9500 and up....but this is California afterall.
We took the sleds for a ride in shorts and tennis shoes.
Haters HA T E. Thank you for all the great videos & probably other snow removal companies are going through same CRAP!!
Are those cabins/houses that are almost completely buried rentals or owner occupied dwellings?
Great quality video. Sounds like you have a Karen that moved to town in regards to to gas meters, etc. My condolences.
Are Most of the Houses empty right now ? Just wondering.
Where are you putting all this snow? Can you show that area?
"911...whats your location and problem?" Caller: "Bud is flirting with my cute French Poodle at the dog park, and I think she likes him. H-E-L-P !!!"
Bud just wants to remind you that those treato's aren't going to eat themselves. There are two hungry dogs that will make them go away
Can’t help but wonder the cost of truck load removal
Be careful about the info about security of your property and vehicles as this vlog is open to public viewing to anybody, you don't know who could could target you guys. Stay safe and great vlogs 😉
I thought you we're going on vacation??😅
Where do you dump all that snow?
Is that the altitude I hear out of you Ben?
Doesn't that Tractor Trailer dump set-up belong to your company?
Where do you guys put the snow?
Wow this is bad and I
Live in Canada
How much per truck load to move it???
use saws on the roofs.. waaay faster
The crazy complaints sounds like someone has been snowed in too long
Have you ever considered getting a snow melter like they use in Canada and the northern states?
A what????
This is what I have thought of.
What do they do with the water??? Not like the have drain's everywhere like cities do..
@@bb-fe9ur - it goes into the storm drain system OR drainage ditches, creeks, rivers, etc. where it’s going to end up anyway over the next several months. It saves the expense of trucking the snow and the pain of stock piling the snow.
Does anyone know why the snow is so dirty up the mountains..? I don’t understand - there’s no gravel or dirt roads; are there enough fireplaces going to cause enough soot flyin’ around?…I’m really wondering this…it’s looking like whatever that is, is coming from the sky…
How can u do that to Bud!! Just leave him like that!!! Dude!!!
N ok way this all melts without hauling it away
How much does it cost to get rid of load, trucking etc?
I assume it's 100 bucks a load or maybe it's double that because it's mammoth.
Why are you doing the explanation for your work for the gas company?
don’t they have a customer and public relations department paid to communicate with the community?
Didn’t they let the community know why there are crews doing this work?
There is no need to justify anything to anyone, there are plenty of haters and Karens who are looking for any excuse to stir up trouble.
Just keep on truckin (literally all those loads of snow).
Talk abour workinf your ass off. What is work to break ratio? Does slow and steady win the race?
For the third time, how deep is Tamarack?
Tamarack Lodge? Or Tamarack the street up at Tamarack Lodge it’s above the roofs of the homes which is like 15 feet plus the homes are buried on Tamarack Street maybe 10 feet
@@plowbrothers365 Tamarack Lodge. That's insane. .
Mammoth needs concrete parking structures far better than old wood. My company specifically designs each to meet the site's needs, so snow loads are a piece of cake to them, sad seeing that old Jeep under that rubble pile.
Welp, now that you've told everyone that you don't lock your doors and leave your keys in your vehicles, you're going to not want to do that anymore. Because, you know, people. : (
Im sure the Latinos aren't used to the cold 😂
As a fellow contractor…some people just need to get a hobby!
sorry If I missed it...where do you take the snow?
We have a couple of snow pads up here where the snow is hauled by trucks
Also - how on earth does anyone complain about the work being done by windows when 1) the snow is right up and over the windows, and 2) was Karen unable to close her curtains, or what??
They have wind muffling things that go over the phone's microphone they have a strange name. Dead cats
Wolf? 14:50
Local Coyote of many. Although tagged wolves have been tracked into Northeastern California Corner in the last 10 years or so. Supposedly there is a new pack as well with quite the territory of movement.
That's a good sized Coyote.
I feel so bad for the climate change generation, to have grown up never having seen snow is just so sad. No more polar bears, coastal cities now abandoned due to flooding from rising sea levels, island populations displaced. And that horrible world war we had back in '21 over food, millions were killed or starved to death. That was even worse than the ice age we had back in the mid 80's that they warned us about in the early 70's. If only people had listened to the experts none of these catastrophes would have happened.
Dang stupid manmade co2 has ruined this planet.
I agree that people should appreciate and be professional, but people will never change always bad people everywhere. Even in Canada l live with a Predator not realizing his history convincing people he is someone's else a jerk obsession with money. Just horrible aggressive men spoiling it for others.
People irritate me and this is why I wouldn't want to do yt because you get people who are miserable and lonely and miserable and always got something to say!! These men are doing hard work and your complaining and calling police! Smh
Not everybody that watches your videos is from mammoth. I'm from WISCONSIN
It’s just racism that people comment about your workers. It’s disgusting. They’re doing hard work in awful conditions. You seem like a good boss that keeps them motivated.
Disgusting is classifying everything as 'racist' when race is merely incidental.
@@user-qr8ki8ue4i It was racism. Case closed.
@@SkepticalRaptor OK.
It’s a beautiful town full of beautiful houses and people that can afford life in a ski resort. Not like your regular neighborhood. I think the complainers don’t work in town.
In R.I. we had virtually No Snow this winter, we average around just 40" or so a year, and in just the last couple of days we've had Brush Fires(which we Never have), a few hundred acres have been burned already, it's 87° now 3:30 pm, WTF 🫠
