The continued dig out from a record 60’+ snow fall year in Mammoth Lakes CA

  • We are still trucking here in Mammoth Lakes cleaning up parking lots making additional space for residence all while continuing to dig out cabins that were buried under this massive 60 foot snowfall. Also, we are running crews frantically throughout the town, digging propane, tanks, and gas meters out for safety reasons, we have a couple more days left of trucking and we are probably going to pull the plug on that for the season but as we speak trucks are moving, the sun is out and life is good. Take a look and see how things are going for Plow Brothers and Mammoth Lakes.

Safety, safety, safety. Your guys are doing an amazing job both on the rooftops and digging out propane tanks, meters and lines. These are dangerous jobs. Same goes for your framing crews. Dealing with heavy equipment, heights and snow tunnels. No end to the possibility of things that could go wrong.

I am unable to truly express my thoughts: these men and women are the saviors of the Mammoth Mountain community. These men and women are titans, beasts - so tough. I'm old: in my 80's, could not imagine working with this crew for 15 minutes: I'd be in a casket. God bless these crews, the community of Mammoth Mountain, and always, bless the nation and people of our United States.

They do make industrial sized portable snow melting machines. They are loader fed and the melted snow is discharge into the storm drains. Uses a good amount of fuel, but way faster than trucking snow off site. It's a monumental task to deal with the amount of snow that needs to be removed. It's too bad you can't load your dump trucks with an industrial snowblower, you'd get so much more snow per truck load than just using a loader. Do you have access to an excavator? That would certainly be useful in knocking down those oversized snow and ice piles. With warmer weather, you could even spread thing layers of snow over open pavement areas and just let the warm temperatures melt the snow.

The weight of snow has to be removed from the roof before they collapse.

It's not too much to ask if someone perceives a problem with crewmembers to *_call the number._* Just throwing it up on YT as a comment is worthless and frankly should get all the attention it deserves, if ya pickin' up what I'm puttin' down. If his crewmembers have the integrity to wear Plow Bros shirts and hats with their number emblazoned on it, it's highly unlikely any of them are gonna risk everything to engage in something nefarious or untoward. There's easier ways to engage in criminal activity than shoveling two tons of snow every shift. And for the $ they're making, why would they? I'd consider any YT comment alleging something suspicious _suspicious_ -- and accomplishes nothing.

No more polar bears, coastal cities now abandoned due to flooding from rising sea levels, island populations displaced. And that horrible world war we had back in '21 over food, millions were killed or starved to death. That was even worse than the ice age we had back in the mid 80's that they warned us about in the early 70's.
