Death Blow videos should all end with Jonny coming in and doing all the death blows as a bonus because I think he can do most of them lol
yeah, he is kind of an interesting flat ground skater, I believe he has the deepest bag of tricks out of anyone, but he might not be as consistent with some of the more basic tricks as other pros which really kind of puts him down.
Jonny the type of guy who had all the tricks down but never did primoslides and then decided to just learn all of those too lol, why not I guess 😅

@ewoknroll nah I think Ellis is a lot like Giger, where he's got a lot of crazy tricks down but some of the more basic stuff he struggles with
Gigers obviously a flatground beast but Zachs tricks surprised me for sure.
Just what I was thinking. I didn't know Zach had flatground tricks like that. It's gonna be a good game.

he's inconsistent. He can do complex ground tricks but he's inconsistent.

I like Jonny's words that it is already an achievement to be invited to the BATB, what a humble attitude. Hope he will be less nervous than his opponent and that he finally wins, he deserves it.
I will not be surprised if Zach pulled this off. Dude is slept on. Board control is out of this world.

Jonny Has a deeper bag of tricks than 95% of all skaters but he seems to lose his composure when it's competition time. it's truly his competition to lose. because of that Zach may be able to pull off a win.

He has said he has issues with nervousness before so we'll see if his composure holds up
I think he came in more relaxed and mature than before. Radiating acceptance. Veteran as well, so the environment probably doesn't wreck his brain that hard either. This time might actually be it when he goes far.

Jonny seems OK losing this battle. I don't think competing is his thing. Also, he would have to go back to the US to go for another round, and his Vlogs show him travelling til Japan, US and now Switzerland. I imagine he doesn't want to keep going back to the US so often, but as he says, the BATB invitation and exposure is in itself a great achievement.
He lacks consistency for this kind of competition... he is insane tho, already a skateboard legend imho
@@skamarfire Yep I agree. He is a flatground legend. Some of the tricks that have taken him hundreds of tries are completely insane, yet he actually did it. It is just great fan service that we get to see him compete even if he is not as consistent as some of the other pros in a competition setting :)

Prediction: Doelling wins a tight and complex matchup because Giger doesn’t take the competition quite seriously enough. The guy is outrageously talented, but he doesn’t have that competitive side. Doelling will edge him out because of it.
I think you're absolutely right, I love watching Giger, but he's almost happy when he gets knocked out because he can go back to chilling and skating his way. You saw it immediately last year where Jaime was immediately gunning for the win and Johnny was all too happy to see him move on.

@@ewoknroll That totally depends how dirty Giger wants to play. I mean yes he could go for 5 trick s.k.a.t.e. for the opponent if he wanted to play like that. Then again that would probably be bad for his reputation. So with the "good game mentality" Giger is not superior at all since he's super nervous in situations like these (his own words) and can stumble on the more basic tricks.

I love both these guys been their fans for years. Especially Jonny. I’d like Jonny to win though just because he gets done dirty with every match up he’s ever been given until maybe not. Seen Zachary practicing though and he’s a skilled dude. Was impressed in some of this footage so he could take it.
Like Jonny says though, just hope for a good game.

This is why Jamie wins a lot. In games with Jonny. Jonny does everything clean. Jamie's about consistency regardless of how dirty the trick looks.

If Johnny is truly on I don't think there's anyone better - not even JG - I think that JG is just a bit more consistently at the top of his game - maybe just a bit more competitive

Nah he is way overrated. He can do weird and difficult tricks but he isn't consistent enough with them so that he could use them in a battle. Jamie Griffin is basically the better version of Giger as he is consistent with the tricks and can land them more often as much as I don't like his skating. Even 40+ year old Chris Cole would demolish Giger
Ya when Giger gets in that zone no one in the world can land everything he can and as cleanly as he can.
