If you do plan on doing more levels from the rush trilogy (those being rush, adventure, and colors ds), Can i request haunted ships from rush adventure. I loved blazing though that stage as sonic and the soundtrack there was amazing.
I only have one question: Will this be the first ever 3D perspective game that actually gives Blaze her original running animation back? The Rush games are the only ones that have her run using long, leaping strides. All her subsequent appearances have her run identical to Sonic.
God this looks incredible. Level design in Leaf Storm is giving me major Unleashed vibes, ngl. Those long-windy 3D plains and more tightly-controlled 2D sections.
I love how the boost mimics the original. Got such a nice dive to it. That's one thing I appreciate about forces and rush is how the boost has a curve on descent.
The gameplay remains similar to the first build, but the graphics and level design are Vastly improved!!! This was amazing to play, love all the secret paths!
Yeah I recall seeing the Water Palace demo awhile ago and it kind of looked like a demo, but this is a MASSIVE glow up! Looking like a proper 3D version of the game on DS. The graphics are well done too, Retro style fitting for the DS without feeling like it's just "low quality". Especially with how the trees and set pieces are all modeled to make Leaf Storm look like a legit location. And those side paths too and vines giving a sense that there's a lot to explore. Definitely Ace!
The level design has DEFINITELY improved a lot, the team really understands what made the Day Stages of Unleashed so good, one can only hope everything goes smooth from this point, best of luck to the devs, also notices they decided to follow the same path as Frontiers with the trick system, smart choice

Most 3D fan made Sonic games focus WAY too much on just boosting along cork screws and very bland tracks occasionally interrupted by some homing attack chains and platforms, but without the spectacle of good settings and visuals, they look extremely bland. Plus when Sega designs an official level, they go for one of two things, Spectacle or challenge. Spectacle comes from seeing the lovely set pieces and Sonic blasting through like a virtual roller coaster to give a sense of awe as you feel the world is alive, and Challenge comes from things like quick step events, lining up with rings placed sporadically, avoiding pits and jumping at the right time to reach new areas or avoid traps. It's not just a "boost to win" playground, there's actual stuff to do, which is what makes it a "game" and this one seems to hit the right nails on the head without just looking like a tech demo. (though it's WAY easier to design good 2D stages than 3D as the 2D fan games are all generally peak while the 3D ones.... seem to miss the mark sometimes. It's a common complaint that modern Sonic games focus TOO much on boosting and not enough on actual platforming. So developers want to be aware of that when building their game.)
As someone who played both Sonic Rush games on the DSi as a kid this brought back so much childhood nostalgia, I'd have never thought that emulating these 2D DS Sonic games could be converted to a more 3D "modern" aspect, amazing, truly.
'Cause if it were official, decisions would be made through a corporate lens, it would become way less interesting and then they'd charge $60. I like it the way it is, lets pay our respects to free passion projects.

We don't see too many 3D Sonic Fangames out there, much less ones that try to emulate or recreate a boost game, so this is an absolute treat. Hoping development goes smoothly and that the team can hopefully finish what looks to be another amazing Sonic fangame. Also fun detail I noticed, when you start off in the Apotos area of the 2021 demo, the music is a remix of Water Palace's theme with Apotos mixed in. But as you leave Apotos and get more into the regular Water Palace the track switches to the regular Water Palace theme. Attention to detail like that shows the passion and dedication the team has for this project, and it's stuff that I always appreciate whenever I see it. :)

Sonic Rush drove me kind of nuts. I was always running really fast, and the tiny screen made it so I couldn't see as far in front of me as I needed. Then the second screen shows me above or below me, which I usually just don't need to know. I'm glad to see screen crunch is not an issue with this reimagining.
This looks absolutely phenomenal, but there just a few things I'd like to see as options or changes as time goes on. Please give us an option to turn off the trick sounds and the animals popping up. I know its meant to be evocative of the original Rush, but it would be nice to offer as a choice. Next: The speed ripple when we boost. Having a 3d ripple when we boost in a 3d Pixel Art game feels really... odd. I've been playing Sonic for years but that ripple disrupts my eyes more than anything else and makes keeping track of the action way harder. I'd suggest a simple speed line edit around the outside of the screen, or even a toggle to just turn it off. But I don't want to sound negative here, this looks *outstanding* and I commend the creators immensely for having the passion for this. Rush is one of my favorite Sonic games of all time, and i'd love to see more of this! I just like having some visual clarity of the entire stage in Sonic games.
This game feels like an alternate reality where the Sega Dreamcast got a "slim" upgrade and this was one of the titles release for it. The lighting combined with the low poly models and cell shading of everything just has a distinct Dreamcast aesthetic despite it being a re-imagining of Sonic Rush into a 3D platformer.
Sonic Rush looks really charming in 3D! Huge props to this passion project, I hope you can finish it!! I tried the game too. Controls feel tight, and the trick system makes this one of the most fun modern stages I've ever played.

DUDE, THIS IS AWESOME! I can't WAIT to play the entire game like this, it will be SICK! My favorite level of Sonic Rush is Dead Line Act 1 with Sonic. I am SO gonna replay that many times in this 3D re-imagining.

Tbh, my favorite thing here is the tree branches you jump off of after a homing attack. It just feels better than doing a homing attack chain on flying enemies or bouncing between a set of springs.

... Remind me why we didn't get Advance or Rush levels in Generations home console version lol. This is amazing and I've never even played Rush. Getting a stage on the handheld consoles (well... wait that was just 3ds no other) was cool, and lots of cool stages on that version, but really hope this is explored more in Shadow Generations, this proves it can work.
Looks really cool I might have to give it a try. The one thing I would say to change is get rid of all the white space outside of the level maybe make it look like a bigger jungle surrounding the level if it’s even possible.
this is actually fire, only thing I'd change is the homing reticle. the unleashed homing reticle feels out of place, but the colors ds homing reticle would fit, especially considering it plays like sonic rush.

just a heads-up, sometimes the camera feels too zoomed in, and this added with the UI + visual effects can get pretty disorienting
