Realmente não entendo. Para mim, é só mais do mesmo. Não tem nada que já não tenhamos visto antes. A única coisa realmente boa é a mobilidade do Sonic, que não parece "travada" como nos jogos 3D oficiais. Acho que deveriam focar mais em outras coisas e não só na velocidade do Sonic. Deveriam fazer um metroidvania em 2D ou 2.5D. Não falta recursos para isso. Colocava as habilidades do Sonic Colors para transpor obstáculos e acessar áreas, coisas do tipo. Tudo que vejo nesses jogos atuais é o Sonic atravessando a fase quase toda "voando". Tá chato, massante e repetitivo.

I think the problem is specifically level design; all of the stages seem to encourage the same approach, which like you said is going through a semi-open area as fast as possible. It makes the “game” feel more like playing through a sonic-style obby. I still it’s insanely impressive for what’s likely a small team or solo dev it looks pretty for sure, but with the current design it’s hard to be innovative. Coming from someone who has tried unity, game-design a bitch 😂
That's exactly how I feel for all fan games in general as I have a macbook pro and not a windows computer. Like... everyone makes games solely for Windows and forget about Apple users completely. ._. But I should be getting an actual PC soon, so I will not have to worry anymore. :)))

I personally like Omens too, it’s not my favourite but I do have a lot of fun with it and it’s a shame that it has such a tainted past because of some scummy developers.
This fangane really is super awesome.Also, here's dome speed tech for anyone who didn't know: If you start a dropdash and bounce, you instantly get the full speed of a spindash and also get sent into the air. If you do this on a dash panel, you can get some absolutely insane speed until you land.
I used to own a PS4 and Dreams, this was one project I played a lot of and honestly after two years of moving to pc Im surprised to still see it being developed, not to mention how incredible it looks now, it looked great back then but now there are so many things I never knew were even possible in Dreams to begin with it genuinely looks unreal
The point is, Sonic Team isn't trying to implement momentum. Sonic games have the boost gameplay, not the Adventure gameplay. Not because Sega doesn't know how to perfect the adventure gameplay, but because it became old and a group of fans started hating it to the point that Sonic Team had to change their gameplay.
Now if Sonic Team took some inspiration from these graphics, we’d have a near perfect game. This is like generations level of graphic design quality, looks like it plays like adventure, this feels like the closest I’ve ever seen to adventure 3.
Dynamic wall running, i always thought it was a legend Running then hopping from wall to wall.. never experienced it in a sonic game before (well as far as i can remember)
Sonic lost world had parkour and Frontiers did at times too, the early adventure games incorporated wall running too. Obviously there’s wall running in the boost titles too but I understand what you mean when it comes to it happening whilst keeping up your momentum.

I’m sure you’re a sonic fan like most of us. Though all his adventures, I have yet come across a game that ticks all, if not most boxes. As far as gameplay and mechanics go, this game does hit “master class” clearance. I am one with high expectations and this surely pleased them.
I just want to say that the Emerald Resort section is one of the coolest aesthetics I’ve ever seen for any Sonic level. Seriously, blending in modern building design with the environment works so well, and the scale is absolutely perfect.
Emerald Resort seems to be structured just like Wave Ocean from 06. I mean, you're chasing down the Egg Carrier on a beach, the level is split into multiple sections divided by loading screens, and it ends with a mach speed section. Of course it looks a lot more stable than 06, but I like the callback.
The aesthetics and motifs of the game do look like they should belong to a Sonic game. The seriousness of the mainstream games sort of clashes with the cartoony nature of Sonic's design.
Videos alone does not do this justice. If you have the means of getting a ps4 or 5, dreams alone makes it worth it. I poured countless hours into this fan game (before this update) and I can say with 100% certainty that this is my favorite and, in my opinion, the best sonic experience fan or official I played this for a few hours, switched the frontiers, and got immediately bored. Nothing wrong with frontiers, but THIS IS PEAK SONIC
Adding the loop-de-loops into the ring dash is genius, and the Chao Garden looks absolutely adorable! How in blazes does this look better than every Sonic game Sega's put out in recent years?? This looks like a real Sonic Adventure 3!
Been a while since I played Venture. Great to see how it's changed! This also reminds me of Dreams' pure awesomeness. People should develop custom servers once PS4 homebrew can be used on the latest firmware update.
Very impressive, my only 2 gripes, personally Sonics ball mode is too big and 2nd in some areas there’s too much motion blur but I like a lot of the gameplay ideas, visuals are gorgeous and the sound design is great. Sonic should talk more though cause he’s a talker. Other than that, I like this a lot.
@@SirDubbs whilst hedgehogs can indeed swim. The developers for the first Sonic game always thought that hedgehogs couldn’t swim, so that’s why sonic couldn’t and now it has always been a fun rule and design that sonic isn’t allowed to swim. The closest we got to sonic swimming was sonic colours, where it allowed you to spam the jump button under the water.
Believe it or not the fan stuff is using ideas that were already used by multi million dollar company and ngl million dollar company has been outdoing the fans

Honestly it looks amazing! The game play, the physics all fantastic. The only thing that slightly bothers me only slightly because it’s perfect otherwise is how tiny sonic feels. I get it’s a big world but even the fences tower over him. That aside, You need to be hired professionally.

I swear, the Sonic franchise would have been under the water if it wasn't for the very passionate fans. People may be praising shadow generations now, but it is still just a remaster of stages. With its story and art direction ripped off from sonic generations. We will see how they handle making a whole new mainline sonic game with original levels. If they are even capable of doing that.
Shadow Gens with almost entirely new level design, a new story (which is miles ahead of Sonic Gens), cinematics. Of course they are cable, they may borrow level themes, but that’s it as it’s the point of the 2 games. For example look at how they remade the Forces level. It was a very simple level in Forces but in Shadow Gens they have made it incredible and that was a new level theme at the time of Forces and the chaos Island level is incredible. That’s pretty much a new level theme as Frontiers only came out less than 2 years ago and none of the level design is taken from Frontiers. Im not sure if you are still sceptical, but Shadow Gens proves that Sonic Team, when they roll their sleeves up and are given an actual budget, can produce a banger.

Well there’s a few reasons why. One reason is this game has been in development for a few years now and it would be a waste to start from scratch. Another reason is Dreams is basically an engine where you can make games and this game makes full use of that. A third reason is not everyone owns a PC either and most casual gamers own a console. One other reason is, it’s a lot easier to create games on dreams compared to working on pc.

Dreams is easier for a non dev who has ideas to get their game into motion. At that point, Dreams is able to get you into the game Dev mindset, without the prerequisite knowledge. Of course, it comes with the con of learning a non-transferrable device language, but if the alternative was never getting into development, I'd say it's a net positive

The impact is so punchy, and the fluidity of movement is on a level I don't think we've ever seen.

This is a game made on dreams made by other people so it would not have gained as much attention I don’t think. If this was made on pc then yes I would agree that it would sell so much.

Best sonic has ever played imo. The gameplay is so fun and the levels are actually good, my favourite gimmick being the wall running bits.
