I was the music director (and more) for that station for many moons. Sadly, it was sold to a local dude who broke his promise about keeping our format. They now play "today's country" ... where George Strait (as good as he is) is considered "oldie". And there is no bluegrass anymore. I'm glad you caught us when we were real.
@@keithfuller7042 KRRM was a total breath of fresh air whenever I tuned in. Where else could you hear Gene Autrey or Buddy Ebson sing the Ballad Of Davy Crockett? It was like stepping back in time occasionally. One of the things I liked was that I NEVER knew what they were going to play next. I salute you, Keith, for bringing so much joy to me personally, and untold thousands of others. It was a very professionally polished station, with no 'dead air' or glitches that I ever detected. I truly miss KRRM...Sadly, 'All things must pass' as George Harrison once wrote.
What more needs to be said about Tony Rice. This album is a testament to his unbelievable talent, a talent that has escaped the confines of bluegrass music. Rock on Tony, I've been a fan since I first heard him with JD Crowe in the mid70s. One day, we'll hear him sing again... Glen Parker Avondale, Nova Scotia, Canada
+Glen Parker Sadly I do not think we will hear him play again, let alone sing. From what I understand he is almost always too stiff or in too much pain to play. It is sad. He is without a doubt a world class musician and a huge influence on my musical development.
I love the intro to this song
🎼❤🔥Love the guitar & dobro on this. 🎧
Is that Jerry Douglas on the Dobro ? Dobro sounds so great, bluesy.
Yes sir. Jerry is the dobro king 👑
Has to be the best ever. Period
So f-in smooth!
Tony is and always will be the man.
I hope you are still alive, my fellow hippie 💫
@@michaelmcraemusic so far so good :-)
