Many fish come from areas of the world that have dark, or black water. These types of fish can do great in normal aquariums, but you will see a lot more natural behavior from them if you give them a blackwater setup. Hello, congrats on the beautiful aquarium. I have a 180 liters aquarium I'd like to make blackwater, but my worry is that it'll be full of algae in a short period of time. How do you prevent this from happening?

I would use lots of floating plants like red root floaters or Amazon Frogbit. They suck up loads of nitrate and keep the light level in the tank low, preventing algae blooms.
