- After our second cutting of rye grass things turned super dry! We have finally starting getting a little rain. Hopefully we will get another hay cutting this year.

Yeah here in upstate sc we having same troubles. Turned off really dry and now the worms have rolled in and destroying hay fields and pastures.
Hopefully this storm in the gulf will bring us some moisture, we actually finished up July with a decent month for rain, NE Bama, may have just been locally, but I'll take it, and yes it has been mild, what are you applying to get the Johnson grass??? What are you spraying on the johnson grass that won't kill your other grass?
I want the rain back, I know the feel of no rain around. I live like 2 or 3 hours away from where y’all are.
