Cutting Hay On New Ground In The River Bottoms
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- At the end of last year, we planted a field of river bottom land in rye grass. Our plan was to cut it for hay. It's finally time to cut!
Eric cut this field with our Kuhn trailed mower GMD 3151 TL. Our plan is to bale this in the 40% moisture range and wrap it with the Anderson wrapper.

Just curious when you said little tallapossa river are you close to Hollis crossroads I'm close to Ashland clay co
We are. We live in the Heflin/Ranburne area. That hay field we cut is in Bowdon.
I know that area fairly well iv done some welding at the hatchery in ranburne .use to go to the horse sale there back in the day .nice community and nice people there
Wow I would have expected damage too. Looks really good. How long was it under water?
It didn’t stay under water real long. Maybe 24 hrs. We expected a lot of trash to be left behind. We were very lucky!
How many bales to the acre did the bottom land get?
How the 4066 working out?
Awesome! We love ours. They are great in the chicken houses and also in the hay field.
I thought y’all were Bama boys. LOL
Haha we are Georgia boys that live in Bama!
