What i really love about goodwood is that theyre actually racing these iconic and extremly valuable cars... not only show in 2nd gear
TheGreener121 Well... not being pedantic but they actually just doing high speed demo run instead of racing but you are right, the owners/drivers push the car a bit, even in blistering snow.

I agree one hundred percent. I think Goodwood has some of the best racing.
And the variety of the race cars that you will see there is incredible.
And some of the best drivers race at Goodwood. 😊

And they have different disciplines of racing at Goodwood sometimes they're just showing the car and other times they're actually racing

Group 5 needs to make a comeback. Right now the closest thing we have to a modern day equivalent is DTM or GT500 cars but they’re all based on the same chassis

The Porsche's are the quietest thing on the track. Yet powerful af
#43 is the d famous Moby Divck whose bodywork was designed just for LeMans. I like the red #56 935K3. The Lancia Montecarlo is a close second.

Martin Rettner I believe it was build by March. But the Chevy V8 conversion is done when the car was owned by Bob Gregg/Jim Busby in the 80s.

3:07 That glorious Chevy big block V8 from Greenwood Vette! I believe this is #08, one of the last Greenwood with originial steel chassis before they move to spaceframe. Formerly painted with Spirit of New Mexico livery. This car is also the first Greenwood Vette to appear in Goodwood FoS back in 03.

@@zagi6584 Im not 100% sure but i think the "small block" could refer to the normal vette v8 engine which was a 370hp V8 engine. (in 1970's that was alot of horsies)
And the big block is the 7,654 cc modified Greenwood-monstrosity which provides 750hp... in the 1970's aswell... quite a monster in the field of other monsters such as zakspeed ford capri, producing around 500 hp 4-cylinder engine (most powerful variants up to 600hp), and the BMW 320 Turbo which could also produce up to 600hp in its most powerful form.
Some say the greenwood big boi could even produce up to 900hp.... all we know is, it had the highest topspeed in the 1976 le mans. (220mph/354kmh) :>

You'll get the BMW 320 turbo gto in Rfactor 2 but not the other cars but I tell you, the BMW is fast af! the porsche RSR wouldn't come close to it's time at Zandvoort!

yeap, Group 5 is very good on RaceRoom! each car with its insane degree of preparation and characteristic behavior,:. The "stability" of the FABCar Porsche 935, HiRev Japanease Nissans, Brute Power on the Corevette Greenwood , and the amount of kilos on turbo press in the Capri Zackspeed

Amazing BMW 320 and Lancia Beta, but my favourite group 5 cars were the Nissan S110 Silvia and R30 Skyline Super Silhouette, both missing in this video. :(

Ahhh Ric Wood Blue Capri, it is not a real Zakspeed Capri but a Replica made using one of the last originart part for it. Ric Wood himself is a known specialist for Zakspeed Capri.

I have seen a few "historic events" @ Watkins glen, and they never run over 85%-90% The cars are to valuable, and the drivers don't need to risk it. ...But fun never the less.

No turbo under the bonnet, always thought BMW drove with 1.4 liter turbo engines, but they also used 2.0 turbo, and 2.0.
