It has to be a good reason I clicked on your video first. I’ve rescheduled my surgery several times, and the first two times were legit impossible timing. The other two were anxiety, fear, and everything else you mentioned. I have surgery in three weeks, and I randomly decided to watch videos, and I am so glad I clicked on yours first because I feel this exact way. I have been emotional all week and having tears in my eyes. Not to mention my period is late but due any day, and I am in pain and very emotional. I have PCOS and horrible anxiety. I know this comment is all over the place, but thank you for this video.

I am so grateful I saw your video today, honestly! I have struggled with my period my whole life, none of my doctors have ever taken the time to understand my symptoms and how I am feeling, util I finally began going to the one I use now. I have had a suspicion I have had Endo for a long time, and finally getting the confirmation from her that I might have it has been such a relief. Even with that, though, the thought of scheduling the surgery has been something I have had a hard time with. I have finally come to the conclusion that having the surgery is something I really need to do, but watching your video and seeing someone else feels the same way I do has helped ease my mind a little! Thank you!

Hi Phoebe! I’m scheduled to have surgery in June to find out if I have endo or not. Like you were, I’m also super anxious that they won’t find anything and will feel stupid for getting the surgery. Your video helped calm me and trust my body. I have similar symptoms as yours and period story so I’m hoping they find something. Thank you so much for sharing your journey! ❤️

i have only just found your channel but this video popped up on my main page and i added it to my to watch list and just finally watched it, and i can not thank you enough. i’m 19 and have been having EXTREMELY painful periods since i was around 16, i’m now 19 and they have just put me on different birth controls that have messed up my mental health and insane amount. everything you described in this video explains me exactly! i feel like right now i’m going insane like i faked my period pain and bowel pain this whole time but this made me realise symptoms can come differently. i have been diagnosed with PCOS but i feel like there’s something more there. this video actually made me cry because i finally felt seen, thank you so much seriously 💗💗😍

This means the world to me and I’m SO happy it was helpful. Yes, sometimes when we’ve been told things by doctors our whole lives we can be gaslit into thinking that we don’t know our own bodies and our own pain 🥲 Of course some doctors are great but I totally feel your pain and frustration. I just had endo laparoscopy on Tuesday in the U.S. They did tell me that they took biopsies & scar tissue, but did not confirm endo. I’ve been watching these videos the past few days & am jealous of all of the instant diagnosis. I feel a lot of the same feelings as you in terms of nerves & pains. Thank you for sharing your story.

Hey, thanks for sharing. Lord, being a woman is such bs sometimes lol. I started getting cramping and soreness around my pelvis, but like, all the time. Every day. Not the worst pain, but CONSTANT. That drove me to really start looking for answers with specialists; met my insurance deductible for the first time ever, so at least now everything is pretty much free. I'm anticipating maybe needing this surgery... after ultrasounds and pelvic floor therapy, and the symptoms still present, it may be what I need to do. I feel you on the "but what if I'm doing it for no reason" thing... but it's better to know, even it it didn't turn out to be endo for you. Peace of mind, right? Congrats on finding the answer! I hope all of us women (and men, who also have pelvic problems that are difficult to diagnose) find our answer and solution one day. Good luck on the rest of your journey and thank you for helping others by sharing.

I’m having my second laparoscopy for endometriosis in April & I’ve just found your vlog. What you’ve mentioned about imposter syndrome is SO accurate. We get gaslit for so long that it’s hard to accept when someone finally does listen. I ignored my symptoms for such a long time until I couldn’t and even after it being confirmed in my first laparoscopy I’m still over here thinking but what if they were wrong. This time I’ll be having surgery with an endometriosis specialist and she’ll be doing excision as well because it wasn’t done the first time. Since the first surgery they’ve also suspected “probable adenomyosis”. I really appreciate you sharing your story and your symptoms. Endometriosis is such a spectrum which I think is what makes it so much harder to get a diagnosis as well. Best wishes to you in your journey!

I’m feeling the same way. Like imposter syndrome. Even though they found 2 cysts (one on each ovary) that most likely endometriomas. So even though my specialist is almost 100% certain I have endo and I’ve been in pain everyday for YEARS now, I still find myself questioning if I’m making the right choice. My doctor has recommended a hysterectomy since I never planned on having children anyways, I feel almost silly making such a dramatic decision when i havnt even had the laparoscopically to prove I have endo. Idk maybe I need to stop overthinking it. But thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience.

Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Could you maybe explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
