It is not just you Deadgrl, most of us Angelina angels cry often while listening to our barefoot princess. Sometimes we cry because the song is sad. Sometimes we cry because the Angelina sings so beautifully. There are times I tear up while listening to Angelina and I don't know why. I know there is a physical connection of her voice to my body, making me tingle and feeling like my soul is being hugged.

Yes you are an angel too! Angelina captivated all of us with this performance. You may remember she did it when she was 12 or 13 and now doing it at 16 shows the evolution of her abilities. She is so comfortable on stage and so happy she has the opportunity to sing for people. Most of us cried with you and they were tears of joy that were rolling down your cheeks. There was a moment in the live version which touched me very much, something I wasn't expecting. When she started to sing and the camera took a shot of the audience there was a a scene of a group of people including a little boy in a red cap. The look on his face, I became that boy! There is no question he fell in love with Angelina at that moment and there is no doubt he will love her for the rest of his life. When he's 70 years old and someone starts talking about the greatest singer the world has ever heard he will tell people he saw her live in 2022 at a Concert and she was wonderful. Great to see both studio & live versions back to back - & your willingness to share your emotions with your audience (I survived using only 2 tissues :). One of her best recent live performances (IMHO) is "Million Miles- Live at Kongsberg 2022" which I highly recommend. While I've seen all 3 versions (animated lyrics, studio & music video) when 1st released many times, there is just something amazing & extremely emotional about this particular live performance. Two reasons the audience were rather subdued: 1) They are Norwegian. 2) Angelina had just performed this song a couple of minutes before and the TV people had just advised her that there was a problem and that she would have to sing it again. I'm sure the crowed was happy to hear it again but it probably took the edge off their reactions. What a trooper she was to handle that so well.

You will never see a Norwegian stand up when the rest is sitting down, or dance or in any other way show his/her feelings. I love her live performances too. And listening to those who were actually at one, the concensus is that it is "Magical" to participate in one. But they don't come off as good in a video as the studio versions. Some of them are filmed on a cell phone, and there's just no way a cell phone can capture what she is performing. But in the studio, she is Absolutely Incredible. Her last two studio releases (this being the last one) are just beyond description. PERFECTION!!! The very best things she has ever done (IMO).

Thanks for 2 more great reactions to & appreciation of Angelina's magical performances to this Whitney Houston classic. Great to see both studio & live versions back to back - & your willingness to share your emotions with your audience (I survived using only 2 tissues :). One of her best recent live performances (IMHO) is "Million Miles- Live at Kongsberg 2022" which I highly recommend. While I've seen all 3 versions (animated lyrics, studio & music video) when 1st released many times, there is just something amazing & extremely emotional about this particular live performance. Of course Angelina's ever improving, more mature voice & a great backup band take it to another level. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.

Two reasons the audience were rather subdued: 1) They are Norwegian. 2) Angelina had just performed this song a couple of minutes before and the TV people had just advised her that there was a problem and that she would have to sing it again. I'm sure the crowed was happy to hear it again but it probably took the edge off their reactions. What a trooper she was to handle that so well.
I really loved your first point on why the audience looks somewhat subdued LMAO🤣😂 I'm Norwegian, and you're dead right. You will never see a Norwegian stand up when the rest is sitting down, or dance or in any other way show his/her feelings. Must be the viking genes I guess😂🤣 We HATE to stand out in any way, shape or form. Sad but true. But we are also a very respectful and polite people, which can be another contributing factor. We normally LISTEN to the artist. (And that's basically it...LMAO) Nothing wrong with that, really, but it may come across to foreigners as less invested or ignorant somehow. Rest assured that THAT is normally not the case. And absolutely not when listening to Angelina ♥♥♥

I love her live performances too. And listening to those who were actually at one, the concensus is that it is "Magical" to participate in one. But they don't come off as good in a video as the studio versions. Some of them are filmed on a cell phone, and there's just no way a cell phone can capture what she is performing. But in the studio, she is Absolutely Incredible. Her last two studio releases (this being the last one) are just beyond description. PERFECTION!!! The very best things she has ever done (IMO).

I believe she does that on purpose to create musical tension which sometimes results in emotional release for the listener. I'm no longer nervous about it, I just listen to the lyrics and trust Angelina to deliver however she sees fit, she is the pro, not me.

You might not have known: Angelina sings “I Have Nothing” at Allsang på Grensen, Norway on June 22…LIVE. (Her arrangement.) Norway’s TV2, had huge technical difficulties. They contracted to record the televised version Live, which meant that Angelina had to sing this song twice . . . back-to-back! Do you have any idea what this did to her voice?
