well Tom himself did mod the Soul Power guitar to his liking lol. his was originally factory special run Aerodyne strat which probably was expensive, but still

Thank goodness he said the “soul power” decal isn’t on it already. I was about to comment how it ruins my interest. Good call not putting it on! Looks like a pretty original strat in its details.
When they showed two different versions with and without it I thought they made two different models, smarter choice they made it a decal instead

I’d really love to get that soul power sticker to put on my jazzmaster and create a “soul power” jazzmaster. Either way, I love Tom and I’m stoked to try this guitar.

William Finch “Killing In The Name” is tuned to drop D on a Tele (I think the “Sendero Luminoso” guitar) and the Soul Power is a Standard-tuned guitar.

I'm actually kind of down with the flashy style of it, especially without the decal, and I'm not too comfortable with the compound radius, but still really like to try one of these out just for fun

How could u not help yourself from playing the beginning of Know Your Enemy when messing around with that killswitch
The majority of Tom's playing is syncopated riff rock done using the neck pickup and modest amounts of gain. It's a little frustrating to not hear any of that in this demonstration.

That’s because pickups really are the defining factor for an electric guitar, all the stuff about tonewood, fretboard etc is a myth. No matter what the mystics say, an electric guitar is defined by its electronic components
@@romanlakes90% true but also the pickups interact with the strings, so position of pickup relative to strings, scale length, string gauge and tension are factors too. But yeah no such thing as tone woods

Almost bought this guitar today before I saw a video where they pointed out deep scratch on the head stock, stop bar miss alignment, strings not aligned with pole pieces, neck not sanded properly and multiple other issues out of the box.
there can always be a bad one. I tryed it at a store and it was perfect quality

Beautiful and well sounded guitar but...being Mexican Made, Will it Worth the $1300 Bucks? I would like all of my guitars at my small arsenal to have a good resell value (not for thinking of selling them but because it's great to know they will keep their value over the time as good admire shredding machines).... Buckethead has had one on his signature model ever since it came out in 2010, and even before he had a signature with his custom shop oversized les pauls, he had killswitches in them, so hes had them in guitrs since around 1998
He wasn't saying this was the first with a kill switch

What's with these Signature Models being demoed by other people than the artists? You did that with Jimmy Page's Dragon Tele, and I can kinda understand since he is a living rock god and his time must be EXTREMELY costly. But Tom is such a down to earth and cool dude I can't understand why just not let him do it
