  • To make sure my cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli are as pest-free as possible, I installed a row cover to keep them safe from infestation. That way, everything can still be organic. Plus, I installed drip line to ensure they receive all the necessary water to thrive.

New gardener here, thanks for such a simple explanation! I was wondering if the mesh you used holds heat in to the point that it would shorten the life of cold crops?

First, I love showing Kip using mesh clot h as a bed. Question, do you leave the row cover on all season?

It is not bed, but it looks like a doggie slip and slide😊. What do you call that flexible piece of metal? Trying to find it at my local store.

Kaleb? You just made what I’ve been avoiding for fifty years into such an easy task. DRIP LINE. Thank you. 😍 Detailed instructions are so helpful.

Thanks Kaleb. Having seen you set up your drip system makes me think I could do it in my garden, too. Or maybe mak my kids do it for me for Mother's day. We get no rain here (western Washington) in summer and have to water a lot.

Just curious why you decided on one long line versus splitting the supply at the beginning and running the two sides simultaneously? I envision the end of such a long run being less watered.

I'm determined to be successful with my brassica this year! Could you please tell me in which department of my home store I would find the galvanized wires you used for the row covers? What are they called? Thanks for any help you can give!

Do you have something at the bottom of your beds ( like wire) to keep moles or gophers out? And your life is idyllic….can I rent a room? 😎🙏

Last spring I planted 12 little bush bean plants and they grew perfectly and produced the most tender delicious beans…but each evening a little fuzzy creature quietly and efficiently pulled one complete plant into the ground leaving just a neat little pile of dirt, until in about two weeks all twelve plants were gone😱! I surrounded that little area with marigold flowers too, to discourage something like that. This year I’ve put one or two plants each in about 12 different clay pots along with my annuals 😎. Because they taste fabulous! Do you think it will work???🤞🤞🤞

Great info! I live in south central IA, do you have any tips for keeping ground squirrels & hedgehogs from eating baby plants without chemicals? Last year they ate 30 sweet potato slips overnight🤦‍♀️& kept eating pepper plants until they got bigger even with chicken wire around bottom of fence. I don't want to use Seven dust etc if possible👍 I won't have that many sweet 🥔 this year hubby got carried away alone at 1 garden center last year😅
