They don't have to because they do what they have been doing since Kyle got here...letting players go get their bag elsewhere and replacing them with cheaper options while maintaining a core. I’ll say it, Lamar is too urban for mainstream. It doesn’t change the fact that he’s the best in the league but if he was more “polished” like a Mahomes he would be huge. Lamar’s record against some of the top talent: 1-3 vs Mahomes, 2-0 vs Brady, 3-1 vs Burrow, 2-1 vs Allen, 3-0 vs Herbert, 2-0 vs Stafford, 3-0 vs Russell, 1-0 vs Stroud, 1-1 vs Lawrence. The last time he played the 49ers in 2019 he beat them. That was the same year they made the Super Bowl. He’s also from Pompano Beach and not Miami.
He has to win. Lamar hasnt won in the post season.

That's a stat that they conveniently leave out of literally EVERY MVP conversation they have on these panels. Reason being: this stat destroys the phony narrative that Purdy relies entirely on his play-makers to do what he has been doing.
He leads the league in air yards per completion, he's in the top two or three in passes completed beyond 20 yards in air, and has the best completion percentage in the league on passes of 20+ yards. That's not to mention the slew of other passing categories that he's either leading or near the very top of the league in. It's blatantly obvious to anyone who's being honest with themselves just how special of a season that Purdy is having, yet these "experts" continue to bend over backwards tryjng to trivialize and discredit what he's been doing.. The only thing they're experts in doing - much like the rest of the corporate media - is formulating and selling phony narratives to the masses..

I love how they choose to forget the big deep ball passes that Purdy has thrown this year alone. It's also an unfair comparison between the two because Lamar is a mobile Quarterback. Also they still use the "system" as a negative towards Brock and it just confuses me. All I know is come Monday Night the two best teams are going Head To Head and I'm excited to watch these two Quarterbacks battle it out on the field.

So ready for this game! As a Niners fan I think this is a huge test for them. Yeah they’ve beaten top NFC teams but those are teams they’ve become familiar with. Haven’t seen Lamar and the Ravens since ‘19 so should be a good battle and I’m ready to see Brock finally have to play chess instead of checkers. Best AFC linebackers with Kyle Hamilton lurking behind is going to be a great test for him. Shady refuses to realize that Purdy throws down the field more than anyone and at a ridiculously high rate! That being said, it's nice to see him give Brock some love.
This all probably is just simply a consequence of the fact that Brock currently is ranked #1 in yards per attempt while simultaneously being ranked #32 in actual attempts made. This crazy level of efficiency is not really what people are used to seeing from teams with top qbs & especially with ones in the mvp conversation because many of those teams are much more heavy on the passing overall so I think this is where that disconnect is happening wich is crazy cause however way you slice it through 15 weeks what this kid has done is unreal.
If 49ers can’t win without Trent and Deebo. Ravens should receive grace for not having Andrews, Mitchell and Dobbins.

I agree that Ravens D matches up better on paper. But I ain't betting against Purdy. That dude is way ahead of every other QB playing now - yeah I said that - when it comes to reading defenses and processing what they do. Ravens might be the best at disguising what they do. Honestly, still Hurts over Purdy. Hurts took a worst team to the superbowl. Has a worst team this season with a more difficult schedule & still has only 1 less loss. Also worst OC & DC by a landslide.

Went all the way to NFC Championship, who would’ve thought a 3rd string could do that. Kid goes down and comes back next year strong! 3 losses and still played average. They admit to compare systems but don't mention that Lamar is in his first year of a new system and has been getting better every week. This is about the next game, not the whole year's stats. Purdy is still amazing though, Joy said it best - comparison is the thief of joy - Genesis 13:8
They also don't mention that this is Purdy's first year as a starter and that he didn't get a lot of reps over the summer because he was still recovering from surgery.

To be fair, Jalen wasn't trying to hurt the 9ers with rushes. Wether its because he was hurt, or if that's just the design of his offense. He was more or less, just rolling out and hanging onto the ball. Lamar isn't going to do that.

That's factually impossible given that Brock currently is ranked #1 in yards per attempt while simultaneously being ranked #32 in actual attempts made. This crazy level of efficiency is not really what people are used to seeing from teams with top qbs & especially with ones in the mvp conversation because many of those teams are much more heavy on the passing overall so I think this is where that disconnect is happening wich is crazy cause however way you slice it through 15 weeks what this kid has done is unreal.
