I am glad that professional musicians are keeping Zappa's music "alive." However, the version that is on track 1 of of "One Size Fits All" remains the best. Note: There are many recordings of Inca Roads done by groups assembled by Zappa but the one on "One Size Fits All" evidently does what cannot be done in live performances. This in studio tweaking is one of the many things that makes Zappa's music unique. It is too bad that Dweezil hasn't gotten anywhere near his father's creative side, but again I am glad that people are keeping Zappa's music alive. (First got into The Mothers and Zappa back in 1967 while in high school thanks to a classmate's brother.)
Great pick. Nice arrangement, you had quite a job doing it, (There’s a lot of notes there) Outstanding Performance, all of you!! Frank smiles from Heaven.
In my oppinion, the guitarsolo (as Frank plays it himself) is a milestone in the history of the electric guitar. (Maybe nok technically, but certainly artistically.)
Nelson Luquez The first time I have heard Mr Zappa's music played as it should have been. I hope that's not putting anyone else down. I've listened to his music all the way through but I could be wrong. Outstanding.
Sometimes the strings sound fantastic, such as when they play the main vocal melody - what a different sound, to hear Zappa's music played by a full (if small) string section. Sometimes they don't quite get there, most notably when they play that transcription of his guitar solo. And I wonder whether it's lack of rehearsal, for music so hard that even readers on a string player's level hit their limitations, or whether the concept itself wasn't the best at that point.
Yes, it makes a great sound. Sounds a little off timing wise. I feel like brass would sound better for Zappas solo, but what do I know. I like how they included the epic solo at all! And, obviously, an incredible performance that I could never compare with. I can just sit in my armchair philosophize, lol
@@bradleydoyle6752 And I think the lead violin should have been electric when doing the guitar solos; or just bring in a guitarist. That said, the rest is captivating.

On Ruth! On Ruth!
Yes, there is something about her.
That's Ruth!

It was one of the first instances of the tapping technique being used, so it actually is a milestone in that way as well, in my opinion any way!!
Opening song of my first FZ album when I was 15.
They can not give you thumbs down (esto es hermoso)
