I used to be a bit confused by Bryson, but the best thing he has done is set up his UA-cam channel and connected with his fans on a deeper level. Seems like a really solid guy and an extremely dedicated and talented golfer
And it was pretty much a contractual move forced by contract with LIV and investors. LIV guys are much more active with influencers and UA-cams than other professionnal, it's not without good and financial reasons. Even lee Westwood was recently doing UA-cam stuff with partners, which was quite painful to watch, he was playing at his worst since decades.
I wish gg would take the podcast more seriously and consistently. This is by far the best interview with Bryson! Y’all could easily dominate the golf podcast space too. Kudos to Garrett, he’s a natural interviewer 🤙🏼

I have said it before on other channels but how can you not love Bryson. He is so honest and mature cos could easily say something he shouldn't but admits he can't answer certain questions for legal reasons instead of just skirting round the answers and doesn't get face on when being asked the difficult questions
100% Really have a new appreciation for the guy through his recent YT collabs and interviews. He earned everything he has through determination and hard work, and he is great for golf.
I admire and adore Bryson! So interesting to hear about his younger life. Many see golfers as country club kids. Wonderful that he is sharing this story. He made it happen. And we are the richer for it. Well done young man!
Now I know why Bryson is so nice. 😂 coming from a humble background makes a difference. It’s like you appreciate where you’re at. I have been watching Bryson on Grants channel and other UTube golfers. He is always nice to the young golfers.
This is such an amazing podcast. BD is so genuine. Love Garrett letting loose with his language. Love Garrett got away from his typical questions about best PGA moment 😂
So LIV and the PGA agree in principle to a deal, end litigation of all anti-trust lawsuits, and the PGA is still engaging in anti-competitive practices by forcing a private entity to not be involved with the PGA/USGA's competitor? That is the literal definition of anti-trust. That is why those laws exist.
He hit it on the head about the father son thing. I coached most of my kids teams and other kids would learn from me and my own kids were like “yeah whatever dad”
I was never a fan of Bryson but after seeing him in this interview and on other UA-cam videos I will be rooting for him in all that he does. Great podcast.
Great story. The speed of light on testing was great. The LIV and PGA Tour discussion was top notch. The dangling and blackballing is what I suspected.
In an ideal scenario, the following proposal could be considered: LIV players could participate in any PGA Tour event of their choosing, with the PGA Tour's approval. Additionally, PGA Tour players could form a visiting team (any 4 active PGA Tour golfers), comprising four players who would compete for significant prize money in LIV events. The concept of PGA Tour players and their team (Team PGA) engaging in competitive play against LIV players, as a visiting team, presents an intriguing prospect that could potentially generate substantial viewership, and likewise, when LIV players decide to play on certain PGA Tour events. This notion emerged as a compelling thought, offering an innovative perspective for consideration.
“G” your interviewing skills and managing this podcast was phenomenal! Because of UA-cam I’ve become a huge fan of Bryson. Bryson has changed my views and I look forward to LIV!
When my son got to the point where I couldn't "coach" him in soccer and basketball, one of the other dads would work on the same things I wanted him and the other players to do. He would do them because it wasn't me telling him what to do. Advice to the youth soccer dad/coaches out there.......teach 5 or 6 people to be goalie!!! Get them comfortable doing that and rotate them in after the half. During the season, people go on vacation and kids get sick. If you have one goalie.... and they are sick.....you will not win. And if your player wants to be in goal for the 1st period and center-mid for the second......they have fresh legs and can run around the defense! The most important thing is to instill having fun and being a good sport, win or lose! For so many games.....it was forgotten after the game, and a juice box, and a trip to the playground at the school we were playing at....it was time to have fun. Sorry....long comment....great video! Have a great week!
Excellent interview... but I can't believe he didn't ask Bryson what his opinions were on the roll back.. just the fact that he's one of the biggest drivers in the game makes him one of the more interesting people to ask that question to. It's also kind of crazy that he almost forgot about talking about the 58. Should we talk about the 58... uh... do you think? I would say that was one of the 3 big topics... LIV, the 58 and Rollback.
Love hearing the stories and seeing the personality shine! So much more connecting in something like this than just seeing a professional play a tournament on TV.

This is a great podcast guys, you know, as a European I always felt like I did not like Bryson, a bit of a golfing freak, obsessed with the science in the game and obviously playing for the enemy in the Ryder Cup. Since he's been able to show his true self without the media shackles of the PGAT - I've gone completely the opposite way, one of my favourite pro golfers out there now - who's working incredibly hard (when he doesn't really need to right - $$$?) to build up a lasting legacy. Clearly wants to say much more than he can here - I just wish more people who are under the spell of the PGAT loyal media, could open up there eyes to what golf can be, and will be.. I've got a 13 year old who loves the game, and I'm confident it's going to be a whole lot better for his generation going forward..👍
Agreed all around! But LIV has to get better. The product is not good. Its just not good at all. I am in the much younger under 30 crowd that should be drawed in to the things that make LIV different. They arent working, per say.

Bryson, I went to Bullard and I want you to know- you're someone a lot of people look up to. You went to CE, a lot of people view that as one of those "bougie" schools. I think it would do a lot humbling and so much good for the game and KIDS to just know the struggle. I couldn't appreciate your story more man. BTW did they put those back tees at dragonfly because of you?
Bryson, my friend has the course record at Hawks Creek, 61. You should have a match with him on your channel, since you are building a new facility down there.
Bryson’s such a kind person! Listening to his responses about why he left PGA to join LIV, it’s obvious to me that he didn’t just leave for the money and family, but for the future of golf; specifically the golfers who’ve had only one option to play professionally. He doesn’t want others to go through what he’s gone through. Of course, he’s doing it for himself as well, but it takes a lot of courage to make that decision, and he’s not even exposing the PGA the way he could be! Any organization that’s been established for over a century, and makes money like the PGA has got skeletons in their closet, and being a part of that organization as long as he has, Bryson definitely knows that they are paid with dirty/bloodstained money! Not only that, but they don’t even pay the players what they deserve to be paid! The owners, and founding families keep it all to themselves! The PGA unmistakably see’s LIV as a threat to their business, and will do/say anything to advocate against them! I’m not saying all members of the PGA are bad, but they have no right to criticize LIV, or anyone else for being a corrupt organization!
Still early in the podcast, so cool to listen to his journey as a junior golfer. Most top level golfers come from wealthy families, it’s not a cheap sport, especially to play at a competitive level.
BRYSON IS THE BEST I honeslty see the PGA becoming the feeder tour for LIV . LIV offers so much more with the team aspect personally I love it and hope for many years
One of the best conversations I've listened to in a while. Thank you! So good! You both are so bright and I hope that you and the good good crew have continued success!
What a fantastic interview! I'm a big Bryson fan now when I wasn't really a few years ago. I respect his honesty and talent. I would like a conversation like this (sane and objective) to discuss the actual viewability of LIV golf. I've watched a lot of LIV for the players, but it is very difficult to watch with a sense of competition and the pack chasing leaders. It has a feel of lackluster competition even though I know it's serious. I think the one thing LIV has wrong is the shotgun. Maybe on Sunday, have a different approach. I NEED to see the final 9 and how everyone rolls through the same holes and how each player approaches it. After watching a LIV event, I can barely tell you what any player did on any one hole. I wish they could improve that. Maybe that's just me.
Not just you man! The shotgun start is the only thing I can’t stand about LIV. I think they should at least do a traditional 1-18 start on Sunday. I think it’s much better drama to have posted scores to chase down.
Also respect Garrett’s interviewing as far as he’s not pushing buttons. If Bryson doesn’t want to talk about something, Garrett leaves it at that. Can’t stand it when interviewers poke at prod at a subject that the interviewee clearly doesn’t want to talk about or even can’t talk about.
Plus as a colaboration with the PGA you could plan those LIV events the week or 2 before the PGA (as wam ups… from their perspective). or a month if the grass needs it… And the PGA gets a cut as well as you guys getting the bump of Being a part of the PGA establishment.
I was on "Team Koepka" before I started watching Bryson on UA-cam. I quickly realized I had it wrong. Bryson seems like a genuinely cool dude and Brooks not so much.
Having now watched the full video, i have more respect for both Garrett and Bryson, their knowledge in their respective fields is pronounced. PGA doesn’t come out of the with flying colours, despite both not wishing to talk badly of it. Fantastic content, interview and very professional output.
it amazes me that Bryson remembers every shot of his 58 round, but can't remember who was pushing him. It was Mito not Munoz. That's seriously being in a zone. Best round of golf I've ever seen. Previous best was the Phil vs Stenson final at the open championship.
I really enjoyed this, I really like Bryson. On the LIV thing. The only reason the PGA was all butt hurt about LIV is because he is because they lost their monopoly. Competition is the best for the consumer! ALWAYS. The only thing LIV is doing better than the PGA tour is that makes it consumable for non golf people. Go look at the Indian Premier League in cricket, and how it mad cricket more entertaining and watchable. This is what LIV is doing for golf. The entertainment factor is so much better than the PGA. The PGA is still very much for the purist which I respect and still enjoy too. I say again! More golf, and competition in golf is the absolute best for the consumer! Shout out Bryson for mentioning the Sunshine Tour, thanks for mentioning something from Sunny South Africa!
I've always been a big Bryson fan. He seems like a good dude and someone you could play a round with and have a ton of fun. Hearing how he moved through his career is pretty sweet
Genuinely don't think I've seen a better interview with Bryson. Never been his biggest fan but Garret really helped us get to know Bryson! Wish GG did this more consistently because it could be an absolute revelation for Golf Podcasts!
So I turned this on last night and my sons were immediately "Dad why do we have to watch two guys just talking?". Umm cause you're just sitting there playing on your iPad so I'm going to watch what I want...but I actually said "It's Bryson DeChambeau" and in hindsight I don't know why I thought that would mean anything to them but they went "oh okay" and it dawned on me that they probably can't name any other golfer on the planet (maybe Tiger) but they know exactly who Bryson is. Now why do they know Bryson, UA-cam! They watch a ton of Dude Perfect and obviously saw the All Sports Challenge at Augusta. I made them watch the Break 50 with Garrett the other day (because it was such a fun video) and I think they stumbled onto some long drive stuff a while ago too. Anyway, given the topic of the podcast and the talk about the freedom LIV provides on social media I thought it was really funny that this happened and I think he's 100% going the right direction. Even me as a 37 year old Dad I don't have cable, don't have the Golf Channel, I figure out how to watch the Majors and that's it. In the last year though I've probably watched hundreds of hours of UA-cam golf content. This is going to be the future and Bryson is wise to invest in it now.
Bryson is a thoughtful, intelligent young man who is way ahead of the curve in terms of how the business of golf should move forward. Anyone who ridiculously hates on LIV for absolutely no reason should listen to this interview. Every golfer needs to hear this discussion.
The fact that you get nothing, technically lose money if you dont make the cut is not right in my opinion. Doesnt really happen in any other sport and how are you supposed to make a living?
I agree and that's why really good players are not competing Opportunities too limited and now they cut fields! Puig to me damn near best in world if Masters doesn't invite him it's a joke of a tournament He almost won 3 straight Asian tour tournaments against reasonably good played and in one I think he had 8 stroke lead amazing in these days!
Ive stated it many times- when ppl start talking they will realize the PGA Tour has done some things to promote golf (when in their best interests to do so) - and very little to promote golf from a "true golfer" perspective when it comes to helping the actual golfers that create the PGA atmosphere. No reason they are leaving inmass. Very interesting discussion.
Great interview! Missed you Garrett at Hunting Creek in Kentucky!!! Shit! If I'd have known you were going to be there we would have gone down to our place at HCCC that week! We are members up in MN at the TPC in Blaine and HCCC in KY. Just so happened to be up at our place in MN at the time. If you get the Good Good train rolling for another tour it would be great to see a schedule!!! Maybe stop up at te TPC for the 3M in 2024? Anyway, great interview with a very interesting and passionate BD! I like hearing about his mods with his clubs. I for one started golfing later in life but I def feel that passionte side of things. For me it has been music my whole life but golf became a new passion I could chase down. Even after being worn down by decades of physically demanding work (which takes it's toll). Sold my business, retired (Lots more time on my hands) so GOLF took a hold of me. 540 rounds on the sim in 2 years and dozens at each course each summer. It's been FUN! And this brings it back to relating to that passionate part. That's where so much lies. Driven, passionate people don't do things like this for the money, nor the fame but inevitably it's just like music, the great ones do it because they're driven and passionate! Again, great interview and a very Good Good channel. Someone needs to interview you Garrett for your insights and experiences!
BAD is always my guy. His innovation of golf is be unique. I learned a few things in golf from his youtube leasson. Tiger and BAD are truly changing the golf landscape.

I wish I had this kind of support when I was younger... I could be in an interview just like this. At 60yo and semiconductor physics, electronics engineering technology. Bryson DeChambeau is much younger player, but with support as a passion I could have been better as a younger player. Started seriously at 33yo. Working on a UA-cam channel "Greybeard Golf" more towards seniors as they age (50+) and the changes they have to make to accommodate their physical limitations due to age. Would love an opportunity when and if my channel becomes a UA-cam sensation. Going to start with videos of my 2yo grandson... hope that gets me a million likes and subscribers... lol!

I wish they could improve that. Maybe that's just me.
Not just you man! The shotgun start is the only thing I can’t stand about LIV. I think they should at least do a traditional 1-18 start on Sunday. I think it’s much better drama to have posted scores to chase down.
This was super awesome. Some of the Jr golf and NCAA talk hit home with me. We all have our story’s. I could have listened for another hour.
That was a BANGER of a podcast.. THIS is what I want to hear.
One of the best gg videos and best pod ever! Great job Garett thanks for sharing your life with us Bryson
This is one of the best podcasts I've ever watched. Such an eye opener to pro life and UA-cam life. Also Bryson is a really good bloke.
Thanks to Bryson for this interview!!
Great work G!!
I’m 20 mins in and he hasn’t asked “what is your favorite moment in golf” he is growing as an interviewer.
Very good interview. Much respect for both guys for in depth discussion that goes beyond golf.
it amazes me that Bryson remembers every shot of his 58 round, but can't remember who was pushing him. It was Mito not Munoz. That's seriously being in a zone. Best round of golf I've ever seen. Previous best was the Phil vs Stenson final at the open championship.
It's interesting to hear Garrett's perspectives on LIV , because they're mostly what I think was so obvious about what was actually happening.
Him talking about that last 40 foot put for the 58 gave me goosebumps. WILD!
Lets see some LIV vs PGA! Would be better than the Ryder Cup!
Garrett, you are a GREAT interviewer, WOW. I knew it and that was at par with Bryson's golf game 🙌🫶
Wasn’t a supporter of Bryson at first but I’m becoming a fan! Great interview
Damn, Garrett is under the radar a hell of a podcast host. Great interview and contributed a ton to a great guest. Keep this coming!
He's terrible lol
Why?@@johno6787
G…I truly regret not watching this cast sooner. Great convo man. 🤙
Exceptional podcast. I love the candid open discussion. Great job
Bruh this interview is sooo dope. We need to do more of these
Need these back on Spotify!
UA-cam has become Bryson's best friend. We are getting to see a side of him that is charming and charismatic.....loving his vids! TY, Garrett!
Well done guys. Proud of both of you.
This is one the absolute best golf interviews to date! Thanks! 👊🏽
This is a situation where both things can be true… sketchiness with LIV and the PGA being heavy handed
This is going to be the future and Bryson is wise to invest in it now.
watched every second of this podcast. you guys are both so intelligent and it was amazing to listen to both of you for two hours
Great interview, GM talks over and interrupts often but Bryson always made sure to circle back and finish his stories
Amazing interview, Garrett - Even better than the Rick Shiels interview with Bryson. Shows how amazing you are at what you do as Rick is a Legend. 👏💪
Shiels Legend in his own mind.
Another pod? Glad to hear it
@brysondechambeau, I got into the game because of you during covid. Truly inspirational for what you stand for. I loved this podcast, took alot from it. but one thing stood out 😂. i spent everything i got on cobra equipment, because you used it. But now, in this episode you said they werent that great. Damn man 😂
Great podcast, probably my 2 favorite golfers playing right now. Have no idea how to watch liv. So haven't seen you play sense if not on UA-cam.
Watch LIV on their app, on UA-cam and also on the CW channel.
Pretty sure I played the back nine with Grant at Ben Lomand In Ogden Ut when he was only 12or13.
Thanks G - what a great interview with one of my favourite humans! We love him in Aus and Italy!!!
Going to start with videos of my 2yo grandson... hope that gets me a million likes and subscribers... lol!
Great interview. And everyone needs to understand this is someone G knows him and bryson play together and hang out this interview comes natural. Hes talking to a friend. Its not that they dont take all this as serious as they did this one, this one is just more natural.
Such an amazing podcast Love both you guys best of luck in your futures
Really enjoyed this pod. Would like to see more of these with others pros.
The best interview I’ve seen in a long time. Great job Garrett and Bryson
I've been watching golf for 25 years and I've never had a favourite player. I realize now I have one and it is Bryson.
Just discovered this podcast and interview and I LOVE this!!
