- Human emotions and psyche are very complex and abstract, especially when it comes to the underlying and the fundamental questions about the meaning of life and the nature of existence. That complexity can not easily be expressed through words, as words are the construct of our rational intellect. Alan Watts' remarkable ability to add colour to his words has come convincingly close to explaining the unexplainable.
Alan Watts hits the nail on the head, so to speak. I often think it odd that we humans struggle to find some meaning to life, when it is all around us already.

Thanks for both parts of this....Such an incredibly logical series of thoughts and questions that points right to the center of the world----in every single last "insignificant" detail of it! Watts has a genius for finding the right examples and comparisons....
I actually feel better when i eat healthy even if its not the most delicious food. Watts didnt foresee the fast food era where everything tastes so good but makes you feel lethargic.

meaning of life is cooperate not to compete (leave this for animal world-poor animals indeed) as group and work (look after) on ourselfs as individuals to don't get sick (fat,harm etc)...competition to playgrounds,we dont need to rush to evolve,infinite time for this as human kind,...cos one cant accomplish this in life anyway,as we don't know our final picture of ourself...live life staedy and peacefully die. ..see whatll happen.
Are you missing a section? He doesn't talk much about love between a person and God here. Unless it's very cryptic. But I don't know Alan Watts to be overly cryptic in his speech.
