- Bombil bhujana is a traditional Pathare Prabhu dish. It is a very simple and tasty dish. Unlike our other bhujana recipes, we do not use onions or crush onions & coriander leaves to give the bhujana a body. So, it makes this simple recipe a little difficult to handle. Use very little water to get this dish right. Even be careful with the salt quantity.
Ingredients
4 nos Bombil
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
12 nos. garlic cloves
1 bunch coriander leaves
1 green chilli
3/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp oil

Do you make kolambiche bhujana in same way? We make any kind of bhujana called as tikhala in our Konkani Naratha community with different varieties of fish but we omit onions and add lot of ginger garlic paste & some tamarind pulp. Wonder if it would taste good with kolambi or smell too fishy? Will try it someday. But let me know if you make it with kolambi in your Pathare prabhu community. TIA.

This is an authentic Pathare Prabhu recipe. Just follow the instructions. We don't use garlic ginger in some of our fish dishes too.
kokam nahi ka ?
These are all traditional recipes. If I add kokum it will change the taste of this dish & also fish.
Kaki kokam ghalayla visarlat tumhi
No Swara. This is our authentic Pathare Prabhu dish. I cannot make a mistake like that.
