Just replace almonds with cashews.
Try adding either kokam or slight bit of tamarind concentrate (homemade of course) to the gravy especially with fish bhujana. Pathare prabhu bhujana is very similar to tikhala from the Chiplun Ratnagiri side Maratha community but we omit onions and add lot of raw ginger garlic corriander paste and either kokam or tamarind. The key is just mixing all the ingredients for the gravy raw without any phodni. That’s why it’s so easy to make, quick to cook and less pots and pans to clean. 👍 Not to mention super tasty! May be inspired by the Pathare prabhu bhujana I should upload the Konkani Maratha style fish tikhala 😊 Definitely going to try your omelette bhujana and going to add tiny bit of tamarind concentrate to it to make it resemble to our fish tikhala 😊
Our recipes are mainly based on the fish we use. If the fish is delicate, we don't use ginger too.
@@kalpanatalpade I noticed that most Pathare prabhu don’t use ginger in their bhujana recipes.
@@shortordercurrycooks4050 We eat fresh seafood, hence ginger not required.
@@kalpanatalpade We eat fresh seafood as well but use both ginger & garlic.Just two slightly different styles of cooking but still quite similar in simplicity of ingredients and procedure. Not saying that one is better than another. Hope you understand my excitement about fish and the similarities and nuance differences in making them by two majorly fish eating communities, your Pathare Prabhu and our Konkani Maratha community.
Too oily
I agree with you. It is rarely prepared in my kitchen. But I don't mind indulging once in a while.
