Even though the Mario Archie comics sadly didn’t get to happen, The Super Mario adventures comic is everything I’d want in a super Mario movie and I’ve heard the Movie is taking some inspiration from the comic and that has me hyped! :)
Quick side note: The original Super Mario Bros 2 (the Japanese version) was released to America via Super Mario All-Stars on the Super Nintendo. The Famicom Disk System version WAS released via the Virtual Console on the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS afterwards.
Fun Fact: the blocks and question marks in the first Super Mario Bros. game in 1985 were actually people in the Mushroom Kingdom who had been turned into blocks by Bowser!
The ,90 children, seem to had the best era of music and entertainment in the world. Will never be another era of us. Children again. The parents , must felt like , a change happen but didn't realize their sacrifice , of the children made that happen.
7:23 CORRECTION Super Mario Bros 2 was actually localized in the US as “The Lost Levels” WAY before the Wii. I was part of the Super Mario Allstars game for the Super Nintendo back in 1993
Incorrect information at 7:15 Super Mario Lost Levels came out internationally in 1993 as a part of the Super Mario All-Stars bundle for SNES! 14 years before it released on VC in 2007, as claimed in this video.
Wasn't Lost Levels included in the All Stars Nintendo game in America? I know it was in Europe as I have the game. Really really hard. Otherwise amazing video's, hard to believe you don't have ten times the subs! Enjoying the sh*t out of these videos, keep it up!
Fun fact about the International version of Super Mario Bros. 2. It was a prototype for a vertical & horizontal scrolling platform game & the designers put Mario elements into it. But a promotional deal came through with Fuji TV so the team adapted the promotional characters into this prototype. So while Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic had different characters than what would become International Super Mario Bros. 2... ...spiritually this was ALWAYS a Mario game from the outset. That's why you see POW Blocks in the Doki Doki Panic version of the game. That's from Mario Bros. arcade. And if you notice the design of Mario in Super Mario Bros. 3 matches his International Super Mario Bros. 2 appearance in comparison to the one seen Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2. The whole thing with Power Jumps & Holding Objects was carried over into Super Mario Bros. 3 in different ways. Even Bob-Omb who came from International Super Mario Bros. 2 was carried over into Super Mario Bros. 3. So in effect, the Americans got the REAL sequel to Super Mario Bros. while the Japanese got a Hard Mode Expansion Pack as a sequel. That's why I call Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 "Super Mario Bros. 1.2" instead. It's not a true 2 to me. And that's why internationally that game is called "The Lost Levels". Super Mario Bros. 3 perfected the seamless vertical/horizontal scrolling they attempted in International Super Mario Bros. 2. So Doki Doki Panic/Super Mario Bros. 2 will always have more connected to Super Mario Bros. 3 because of that.
Well said. Also, Doki Doki Panic had 2 more Mario elements: the Super Star which carries the same power and effect as in Super Mario Bros 1, and Mario's coins. Did I mention Mario's coins also emulate the exact same 8 bit sound from his first Bros game in Doki Doki? 😎
@@hectorcollazo8845 EXACTLY! And isn't it true that Shigeru Miyamoto was more involved with International Super Mario Bros. 2 than he was with Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2? The Starman & the Coins you mentioned along with the POW Block not to mention Bob-Omb PROVE that OUR Super Mario Bros. 2 was probably the true sequel all along!
@@johnlucas1543 Yes, Mr.Miyamoto was greatly involved. Nintendo of Japan had already canonized the Western version before its release. One other detail I forgot to mention is that Peach's 8 bit sprite in SMB2 was copy pasted or based off of it at the end of SMB3 if you look closely. 🧐
This is one evolution I've been hoping for for quite some time! Can't wait to see how many episodes this one will have, especially compared to the Evolution of Sonic the Hedgehog. Also, one thing I liked from the _Super Mario Bros. Super Show_ was all of King Koopa's (AKA Bowser's) alter egos in many of their episodes. Two of my most favorites are Professor Koopa-arity in _The Adventures of Sherlock Mario_ and Al Koopone in _The Unzappables._
Today Is my bday and it's a charm to see this becuase it's been 10 years since I played my first ever game Mario bros Wii. And another great video from flatlife!
I remember make request if this channel can make evolution of Mario or Crash Bandicoot because Sonic already have. And here we are now to know evolution and journey of Mario franchise thank you Flatlife
I have seen what grow up with Mario, The one Figure that stands out as a Father figure of all video games. And can we all appreciate these comics, artworks, games and of course it's characters. Mario is truly Number One Even though I come for Mario
There's another fun fact you forgot to add: Super Mario Bros. is also best known for saving the video game industry from the crash of 1983 alongside the NES.
This video is factually inaccurate. For example “The Lost Levels” wasn’t available first in 2007 outside of Japan. It was part of Super Mario All Stars, released in Europe and the US in 1993 for the SNES.
@@ianvchavezIt was never called Super Mario Bros 2 it was called Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels even on the switch online subscription version of Super Mario All-Stars original they have it under Super Mario The Lost Levels.

Thanks for mentioning this. I’ve got lots of memories of playing The lost Levels as a child in the All-Star pack for SNES.
Thank you for being one of the few people to call this guy for having some factually incorrect information especially pertaining to the Lost Levels.
More like the found levels…cause they aren’t lost anymore
Right!! Super Mario All Stars came with my Super Nintendo that I got Christmas 95!! And Smb2, Lost Level was definitely a challenge as a kid lol!!
And Super Mario Bros. Deluxe renamed to Super Mario Bros.: For Super Players
You finally made a Mario video. It’s about time.
Yeah.
Bro I still don’t get why this does have at least 3 million subs. He deserves it more than anyone! Thank you Flatlife
All the Lost Levels footage is from the remastered version included for a collection of 4 of the classic 8-bit games, Super Mario All-Stars.
Fun Fact: the blocks and question marks in the first Super Mario Bros. game in 1985 were actually people in the Mushroom Kingdom who had been turned into blocks by Bowser!
Looks likes Nintendo like to watch this video
Looking for a reason to copyright strike it

7:11 2007 is incorrect because it came on all stars for SNES in 90s (?)
