Ohh poor cuties 🙁 lucky they were found and brought to WLAid attention asap being abandoned 😩. That’s 3 years ago 😅 they must be running healthy somewhere now 😂 Well done Team 🎉👏👏
See them all the time in my back yard all the time here in Northern Illinois USA. I've raised maybe 5 baby foxes the past 15 years and yes they all were returned back into the wild.
We wildlife lovers have just finished up the orphan season in Australia, watching those terrific rescuers down there take care of orphaned baby (flying) foxes. I hope these two British (normal) foxes have a great time growing up together at WAF. 🙂❤🦊
Oh wow! We certainly don't get the flying sort here, but we will see our fair share of red foxes over the coming months! Thanks so much for your support :)
How was the first cub found and the second newborn with its umbilical cord still attached is even more of a wonder...that its mum abandoned it means it never even suckled to get the vital colostrum it needs for immunizations it doesn't have at birth?...can that be overcome by the feedings you provide?? It's awesome these little tykes were rescued and God bless those who rescued them and your group for giving them a chance at life.
Hope to see them on the fox cub webcam soon! My students and I watch usually watch your cubs in the spring from Canada and see them grow and play from our classroom!
They are currently away with feeders until they are weened, but they should be on the webcams shortly afterwards! It's great to hear you all enjoy watching them grow!
Aw, little sweeties. Taking care of such tiny babies can be a worrisome thing, because they're so small and fragile. The first couple of weeks after Christmas, I had to take care of my mothers dog last remaining puppy (of 3), because the mommy-dog was unable to take proper care of them, after a Cesarean surgery and was medicated for the first week after. Hope they'll grow up to be nice and healthy in the wild! 🦊
@@wildlifeaid She pulled through quite well, thank you! 😉 She's in high spirit, nice and healthy, at the very 'nippy' age, so her mother has to watch her tail and my mother, her toes! haha.
That’s always been my concern with handling young of any wild animals, even with professional groups. They can’t be handled without gloves otherwise they will be abandoned by their parents.
👍👌👏 Aaawww! Soooo incredibly cute! Thanks a lot for rescuing treating adopting recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all involved life forms.
Well that second cub was an answer to prayer - but i don't know who was praying more - it might have been the cub! The two of them are so adorable, and just as young as they can be without the vixen there when she delivers! Please do give us frequent updates - they grow so fast!
Whilst we never want to see an animal arrive here (they are much better in the wild!), it was certainly very fortunate for our first cub that he now has a 'littermate'! We will try to update you when we can! :)
So cute! My local vixen had her cubs 11 days ago in a den behind my neighbour's shed. She's being a great first-time mum and only leaves them for short periods. Her mate's been bringing her lots of food as well (I have a trail camera set up to watch them) Can't wait until the cubs are big enough to start exploring above ground!
Great to see Ron talking on a video and he did a great job!! Lovely to see Alannah too. I like these videos showing other volunteers - thanks guys! Brought back some happy memories for me :D (*wave to Ron and Alannah :D ) xx
what a moving rescue 🦊! What could be the reasons for this abandonment, since the baby cab seems not to be sick or to have a malformation? Thank you again for a great job and have a good day.
They look like mice! THAT turns into a fox? - Impossible! o_O P.S. - For me ... maybe your most heart-warming video ever. Will you keep us updated on their progress? O_o
Both I and my wife would like to visit your sanctuary in the near future. Do you have any visiting hours.? Or if not, will come when the new arrangement is in place. Well done to you all. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Richard! Sadly, as we deal with wild animals that are very stressed around people, our centre is not normally open to the public, but we do have our Open Day on July 5th this year where our doors will be open for anyone to visit!
Foxes are my most favourite animal ever and I'd LOVE one as a pet but that dream will never come true because down here in Australia foxes are classed as pests and a threat to native wildlife so owning one would be illegal *:(* so I have to make do with my many plush toy foxes *=^..^=*
Hey I was wondering if you could help me ASAP my female silver fox has just given birth to 3 cubs and I never new she was pregnant she shares her home and run with the father, do I need to separate them or will they be ok, also any advice on what needs to be done is greatly appreciated, I've given her a blanket and put plenty of food and water in with them I've had the mum and dad since they were 8 and 9 weeks old they are now 4 and this is the first time she has given birth thanks
We are not sure for the first cub, but with the second the mum was accidentally scared away just after giving birth and did not return despite waiting :(
@@wildlifeaid thank you for replying! What a shame she didn't return. I wonder what spooked her so much and how many cubs did she have 🤔 Does every cub have its own placenta? If this was the first, she might have given birth to the others in a safer place or the others might have been all transferred before this one... Thank you for helping and raising those 2 together. If possible, please keep us updated on the little ones ❤️🧡🧡
Well... Looks like I could donate this time. | Couldn't b4 cause I don't own a card, never will. But I'm confused about something.. Why you need a "shipping address"? I'm not expecting anything to be sent from y'all in RL~

Flying foxes _are_ normal; these are just terrestrial foxes, as opposed to vegetarian sky-puppies~

Yes! Yes!! Soooo adorable.
The baby foxes are so adorable and I am so glad they are taken care of and released into the wild when they are old enuf. Great video.
They're so cute!! But why would a vixen abandon a perfectly healthy cub?
Looking forward to the release video! Well done WAF!!

Poor babies, why would their mom abandon them(( I'm worried, will they have enough skills to survive in the wild once released?
Don't worry, we have special protocols in place to ensure they know everything they need to before they are released :)
