sometimes I come to your channel while feeding my daughter, just for a little entertainment. Turns out a couple days ago when tracing a fault on my v70, I found the glowplug connector had disintegrated - thanks former owner. Anywho, this is exactly what I needed to see, and I wasn't even specifically looking for it. I even already have some heatshrink from a motorcycle project. Top man, Simon. Thanks for putting these videos together.
I wonder how does it behave under hot engine condition. The tube you used were 84°C shrink temperature which is close engine temperature (?). Anyway I quickly googled there are some heat shrink having 330°C shrinkage temperature (TFER Heat Shrink Tubing) - maybe this would be better to use.
Great Repair Approach!!! Thanks..... I used a very tight wrap with electrical tape first and then added the heat shrink. The connectors have a second life!!

No problem Dave. It's nice to see that even the hardly watched videos are still useful to someone.
Exactly the issue I have, didn’t search it up but I’m glad I’m subbed to you so I got this recommended. Your videos are really helpful ;)
nothing better than a bodge job.

Operating temperature and full shrinkage is 125°C so it should be fine.
If you feel you need more then sure, get an even higher rated heatshrink.

Good job brother
