Love your figures and great paint job. I try to include crew in all my locos, around the track and on the platform. 00 scale u.s. challenging but what I have done is paint them black then dry brush them. Always room for improvement and as I am in Toronto they are difficult to come by at a reasonable price and of course, postage prices are awful. Thanks fir sharing
Thanks for the recommendation, my son gave me a ModelU driving crew for Christmas which I'll put in my Minerva Pannier (apologies for the 'wrong' region!) He was really surprised to the range of figures; I did narrow the search down for him to relaxed poses.
I can't recommend ModelU highly enough, so I am glad you have a few figures for your Pannier. One of the things I love most is that you have so much variety of poses and your not limited to one or two basic poses. This is what really helps bring realism to the models, as each figure brings its own personality as such.
I've started using the Modelu figures - they very lifelike. But, can you explain why has the figure at 0:27 has got red skin? Also, it's not a Box Brownie camera at 1:24. It's a TLR camera similar to Rolliflex.
ModelU use to (maybe still do) 3D print everything with red plastic. The mistake I made early on was not priming each figure first before painting them. Lessons learned :)
Hey there. I place some glue on the feet and then wait until the glue is quite tacky. Then I place the crew into their positions. This works so much better then if the glue is too wet. You may find you need to keep them in place with something like an off-cut of balsa wood or polystyrene, depending on their position, but having tacky glue is a very big help. I hope this has helped you out :)
the irony is that actually life is the LAST thing that figures bring to a working model railway - they are the one aspect of the model that DON'T MOVE!! They look great in still photos - but it is only if you can believe that the 'people' sitting on the platform seats are actually there to simply watch the trains and not take them to somewhere, and that those two men posed as in conversation actually spend the whole day there, that they really contribute 'life' to a model - to the contrary, they look as if they are dead!

Great video 👍
Got a few modelu figures myself. They are brilliant.
Great video mate. Enjoyed that.
I can't recommend them highly enough. While there are others who also produce 3D printed figures, ModelU is my go-to. :)

I have bought several ModulU figures and they are great.... Also Monty’s Models (Dart Castings) !!
ModelU definitely have a vast and impressive range. I’ll have to have a look at what Monty’s has to offer 😊
How do you put them in your locos as I struggle to stick them in as fall over or struggle to get them in?
