Great video Thomas, thanks for sharing!
Thank you. Marvelous products!
They look great Thomas ;-)
Spectacular looking figures.
Thanks
Wow outstanding
I can use this technique to paint my plastic Army Men
Thanks
They are some great looking people! Fantastic job painting them Thomas! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks.
Wow very detailed figures. They look great!! Thanks for sharing and happy modeling!! -Jason
Nice work Thomas so glad you took the time to share your methods, I do very similar, but weather the figures down
Really nice figures! I like your approach. Yes, we can learn a lot from military modelers and the folks who paint wargame miniatures.
Thanks Gary. Military modelers have all the fun toys.
Perfektná práca. Veľmi verné modely
Ďakujem mnohokrát.
Wow, those figures look fantastic. Great technique - thank you for sharing!
Glad you like them!
So worried about painting small with shaky hands. My brother is the same way but gee we is practicing on Warhammer figures and he is having some success. Between him and you I need to try painting figures at some point! Great vid!
Thank you. War hammer is a great way to learn how to paint miniature figures. After I did these I found a product called masking putty. It helps me with my shaky hands by covering the places I don’t want paint to go.
Great tutorial! Thanks 🙏
Hey Thomas! Great figures and I used to use those paints back in the day until I started using the CItadels, which are too expensive. Have to go get them. Great job!
Those were expensive
Superb! Any tips on getting the figures to look more matte rather than having a slight shine to them?
hello Thomas... very cool figures..i like your idea of mounting them on the cork... will there be a problem when you go to take them off the cork??awesome job..thx 4 sharing... vinny
Thank you Vinny. There can be problems if not careful. I actually cut the foot off one figure but Super Glue attached it right back. I’m still looking for a better adhesive than tape but more controllable than the hot glue. Any advice?
@@splitrock323 hello Thomas.. i just thought of something that might make it a bit easier for you when you paint your figures... i am talking about woodland scenics product called...'Scenic Accents'...it's made to adhere something but also be removable ...i don't know if it would work for your application ...it's worth a try... vinny
These look extremely good! I’m not sure I could handle painting n scale though 🤣
I don’t think I could in N scale either. Probably just get the colors of clothes and hair. Your artwork is good tho.
@@splitrock323 Thanks buddy!!!
What if I just want the files amd print my self.. Is that an option? Thanks
Good question. I don’t believe they sell the files. They pay a lot for a very high- end scanning machine and having actual people dress in period costume.
@@splitrock323 I understand that. Do you know a good quality site where to download HO scale people etc. for 3d printing? I tried google but not much luck
@@kaptajnsejersen6303 Oh sorry, I misunderstood. I do believe there are a few places that have free files for 3D printing. There is also a Facebook group and a huge Reddit 3D print community. I will ask my 3D printer friends and hopefully find you an answer.
They now have a patreon that you can get files to choose each month so you can print your own
Which color did you use to paint the men’s blue jeans?
I used Vallejo. Grey-Blue 70.943 It looked like faded jeans to me.
DO you have an English lay out in the USA ? Expensive I think
I do not. I like English layouts.
@@splitrock323 Why do you buy English figurines then ? Just for fun ?
modelU3D sells North American figures. Plus most non-railroad figures with clothes from the 1945-1970 era look the same on either side of the pond.
@@splitrock323 Ok, nice !
A mini tripod for the phone will make all the difference to your camera work and video quality. Just sayin'.
I agree. That’s why I use a tripod now for most of my video efforts.,
When holding stuff up to the camera make sure it focusses and stop waving it around- we need to see the thing, not just a blurr .
