I don't have words for this pure beauty. I do have gratitude, thanks for all you have done honoring the music and allowing me to follow you and give me pure joy over all these years.
I really enjoy your videos, I am a huge Mark Knopfler fan and you create such good quality content. The fact that you manage to convey emotion in each note in the same way Mark does is impressive. Although there aren't that many notes in the solo, it is very tricky to play them with such finesse, shows how much work you've put into it. It's a pleasure as always to watch your videos, looking forward to the next one.
Thank you! You're absolutely right about the quantity of notes. And if you compare my and Mark's performance side by side, you can notice the night and day difference, he's just light-years ahead of me and I'll never come even close. But hey, I'm not a renowned songwriter and guitar player either, so it's fair. I'm just having fun learning this beautiful music and sharing it with the world.
@@PavelFomenkov I'm not sure it's possible to perfectly replicate Mark's skills, but what matters is to have fun playing his songs and even putting in a personal touch. Also I really appreciate your lessons, they are a great help in learning all his songs, especially for the right hand techniques. If you haven't heard lead guitarist Terrence Reis' who plays in the Dire Straits Experience cover band formed by Chris White, I strongly recommend you check him out. I went to see their concert and it was well worth it.
Pavel you totally rock ! The fact that you used a soundtrack on the .gp file is crazy Thanks a lot for your dedication and love to Mark's music Cheers from France :)
Pavel this is touching my heart. You did many great interpretations but this is far from good this is astonishing. When my father died, we played the song tobias goodbye on his last journey. It will always have a deep connection to my soul and would you have delivered here truly touched me again. Traveling back in time when things were better just before they got worse. Thank you Pavel! I always appreciate what you do and what you give to the world. Same gratitude as i have for Marks work himself
Don't get me wrong, I am shocked too. I went through a period when I thought it was the guitar that produced the sound. But realising you can play whatever you want on anything you want is one of the biggest lessons one can learn. But I must admit, that WOULD sound better on a 1958 Les Paul Standard if I had one. Keyword - if.
@@PavelFomenkovI'm worried that you're getting too used to the smaller scale and hoping to set up a GoFundMe for a new Squier 40th or classic vibe for you. See what happens. I'll be the first to donate and only need a few people to make it happen. 😊
Pavel, in Spain we have plenty of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler tribute bands, why don't you join with some of them in a concert? It would be amazing!!!!
Well, I need to go to Spain first. I spoke to Óscar Rosende and would love to play some rhythm for him once we have a chance. I love to play rhythm that's for sure!
@@PavelFomenkov Óscar Rosende is a top guitar player. Hope you come soon to Spain and meet him, what a duet!!!!! I would like to see you both in Vigo, my hometown, Oscar is about to play here with his band in November.
Thanks Pavel!!! One of the best performance of BIA🎸👌. You have the Mark's feeling . I notice too, you have even make the "mistake" at 2'10, if it's a mistake lol. Thanks for your work and sharing
Amazin work, once again. When I hit the play button, I was wondering if you'll reproduce the little mistake Mark made at the end. To me, Mark's mistakes are part of the performance and they get stuck in my head ( like tunnel of love sidney 86 in the ending solo ). Anyway, always a pleasure to see your videos. Cheers from France.
Excellent as always, as a fellow guitarist ii know you may not believe this and i am not gonna lie, you are not MK but you are f%ing good and capture his style exceptionally well ❤ would love to have you write some solos, maybe do a section where people send in backing rythme and you solo knopfler style or the other way around 🤷♂️ i hope to get some recording gear together soon, would love you to do a solo over some of my stuff for sure 😊
I can be a consultant for such a movie! I doubt there'll ever be a biopic about Mark as he deliberately tried to lead as simple and as "boring" artistic life as possible. All the fun stuff happened beyond the public and press.
Hi Pavel, Nicolas from Paris ;) I bought the Fender micro thanks to you. Don’t you think first amp (white) is better for MK as it includes compression?
Would anyone else in here consider chipping in some funds to get Pavel a full size squier. 40th anniverary or classic vibe of his choice perhaps? Im from Australia, looking to set up a go fund me in Pavels name so he can get a full size strat whilst hes seperated from family during this terrible war. Please respond if you want to help and ill see if i can get his details and set up a link for us to donate to a guitar fund for him. 😊
I'm not popular enough for any crowdfunding to work, unfortunately. You can probably collect a few hundred dollars, but not enough to buy any decent guitar. I'm not suffering from not having a decent guitar - I suffer from a lack of money overall. But I don't want to actively ask my audience to fix this, it's my own problem. Who really wants to help me, they already do it, and I try to work hard on my channel and as a personal guitar teacher. Also, my travel guitar suits my travelling lifestyle at the time. Having a big and expensive guitar simply wouldn't be very convenient when you change places of living all the time.
A new video by Pavel makes my week happy every time
So wonderful on the tone, bend, vibrato and silence …. Amazing results from a very high work 👌🙏🏻👍
This song has marked an entire generation of music lovers, it is not his best composition but is the best known.
Павел, большая работа, очень здорово! Передал не только технику, но и дух Марка. Спасибо!
Спасибо за приятный комментарий!
Master class!

Great tone and beautifully played.👌🎸 Keep up your good work, Pavel!
Очень нравилась эта живая версия этой песни. Прекрасное исполнение, отдельное спасибо за табы. Буду разучивать с Вашей помощью.
Complimenti Pavel, ottimo insegnante e ottima tecnica.
For me , it's the best version of this song, the summum of a guitar solo with an emotion incredible.
I feel this emotion in your cover, Pavel

Tone in your fingers
When a squier mini strat sounds like 1958 Les Paul standard

Very good work.
You also played the “bug” that’s Mark played at 5.03 !
Thank you Pavel for all your work !

Please advise how to set this sound, I have been looking for it for many years. You're doing a great job. ❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤ 🇧🇷
Great playing!
Don‘t you think Mark made a mistake at 2:10?
Hi Pavel, can you pleaseeeeeee do potato picking by Mark from Cal? Please my friend. Love you 😊🙏
Yes, a lovely tune. I'll see what I can do.

Great job! And, the bymeacoffee link doesn't work.
That’s a really tight vibrato. Nice work as always, are you using a volume pedal at all?
Nope, don't have it in my setup.
do you happen to have a backing track for it Pavel?
Ух ты, это какая-то тревел-электрогитара?)
Да, это Squier Mini :)
Типа Страт 3/4.
