Nice work man. I swear everyone is no hitting bosses using the most broken spirit ashes or magic spells. This was just a 100% skill and practice no hit run, no comet azur bs.
ya i get the appeal of just nuking bosses and i might get a character together to do that after i finish this level 1 run but i like the feeling of just learning a boss and getting a kill due to mostly raw execution
Can I just ask... Do you use a controller with back buttons or use a claw grip or something? I see people who have a lot of dexterity in their character movement and always wonder if it helps to program jump, dodge or sprint onto extra buttons. Unless you're on pc are you?
I use a controller and it depends. I don't remap controls at at. When I need to run and see where I'm going I claw grip, holding the run button with my index finger, controling the camera with my thumb. Sometimes it help in certain fights to do this where lock on just isn't helpful such as fire giant. Most of the time lock on is actually helpful, like with mohg, and so clawing isn't necessary. In pvp, though, I highly recommend avoiding lock on if you can help it because multiple targets can easily take advantage of lock on. Now if you have an xbox one controller like I do it may be helpful to map your stamina button to the AGL or AGR buttons located underneath the controller. I think the left has the most potential as you aren't doing much with your left hand as is(walking, block/dual, and skills)
Do you know if he's weak to any particular damage types? I know he's resistant/immune to fire, bleed, and poison. Trying to see if I have a good weapon for him
i couldnt get bleed to proc on him but i think that was just because my arcane is so low; people on the wiki seemed pretty split on whether or not bleed was good on him. all i really know is that fire added less than 1% damage to my hits, i think holy added slightly more damage than fire but not really enough to be noticeable. id assume frost would be the best against him but thats just cuz itd make sense thematically
@@265deadpopes I looked it up, he's immune to bleed. The trick I used was the black flame incantation, because it does health% damage. That, plus a mimic doing the same thing (and could heal itself with another incantation) was all I really needed.
hes got a good few more damage opportunities than i thought, this fight is identical (besides him applying curse) to the first phase of the lord of blood fight and i really optimized my damage for that. i think the biggest thing was learning the visual difference between the two kinda similar combo enders he uses: one is a two handed slow slash that he almost always follows with the ground stab if youre close to him, the other is a slightly faster retreating slash that he doesnt have any followups for. once youve got those down and can consistently dodge the exploding claw (you have to force yourself to not panic dodge) then the fight is pretty straightforward and predictable
I’m currently trying to beat this guy on my level 9 invader and I’m sure you’d be the best of help, having non upgraded gear for the fight makes it an absolute slog
His delays are for some reason especially deceiving, and those obstacles in the room made things complicated.
your insane dude, I literally cannot wrap my head around these delayed attacks. re-playing ds3 and everything feels so fast no delays

@@265deadpopes +22 and raw execution. Can you even get that just from the capitol?
Great job man, fought this guy yesterday and just heard he's kinda of an illusion of the real boss lol
The boss track is amazing btw

Nice work I didn't fight him yet but fought blood one was so annoying and had ton of delayed attacks
It kinda feels 10 times harder than his other fight

How the fuck. I need help with it lol. Maybe I just need to practice timing

@@265deadpopes I ended up summoning someone to help, we got him to half health then I used the shackle to hold him down and we finished him off.

Using radaggon talisman not level one
+22 Halberd 🙄
Try it no weapon upgrades!! Nearly impossible
