It definitely requires a change in thinking, and I understand why some people are reluctant to move to MPC 3. Basically, whatever sound you assign to a track is now assigned to that track per project regardless of sequence, so your Trap kid will always be on track 1 (much like a DAW). If you go to sequence 2 and want a different drum kit you'll have to put it on track 2. It is a better way to organize the tracks (just my opinion), and does translate well to the new Arranger mode.
In all honesty, the most insightful videos about this beta has come from us, not the influencers. Let’s keep making great videos and reporting issues to make 3.0 better.
You can change the default to load to a blank session in preferences. We also been knew they were getting rid of programs and have individual tracks like working in DAW with a regular channel mixer. They’re not changing that back because it’s easier to understand and keeps your session cleaner.
So basically no more ability to use any available sequence within a song for a different beat. All sequences have to be dedicated to the current song, and if you want a new beat, start completely over on a new song?? I’ve said it before, I think they’ve made a mistake by going away from their loyal fan base to chase new people who have daws, and so many other options to make beats in that way. There was magic in being different. Now, they have jumped into a crowded arena. They’re gonna need to at least incorporate making a track unique like the Maschine. “As is” will be a deal breaker for many.
@@richiefamus8778all they did was tie the programs to the track. You can have multiple tracks that play only in certain sequences. You just can’t change the program on the track independently in each sequence.
yeah u can have that, seems you don't get the point and theres no point in a back and forth, i said what i said, i showed the limitation, it wasn't broke, they "fixed it"
yeah and you don't see how crazy that is? i would have a project where every sequence was a totally different beat and track arrangement, what I do on sequence 2, 10, or 100 would have NO affect on the other sequences, that shit is WILD yeah y'all can have that 3.0 that shit is WEEEEEEEAK lol
this one is a big one for me. i too am reverting back. ill make 4/5 different sequences before i find something i want to work on and then pull in stuff from other sequences. this also terrible for performances, image having 100 tracks on sequence 15 but only using 10 tracks, lol.
somebody who gets the point thanks,....I got cussed out on some other comments and they show a lack of attention span, im talking about how you can no longer mix and match tracks and programs, and they going off about some other irrelevant shit lol
@@KentLandZoo haha, i guess everyone uses this thing differently. Akai put out mpc3 beta forms we can fill out with complaints and suggestions. Im def hitting that shit up.
I almost installed it but the arrangement view isn’t worth losing track mutes and messing up my old projects. I’ll just export my song mode to sequences to get the arrangement view stuff done
@boomboombaby9140 my man, the thing about the trap kit was just a side bar, did you stop the video after that was mentioned, because that was not the issue
@@KentLandZoo if you create a drum pattern in sequence 1 and want it to be different in sequence 2 after you copy it press hold on the drum track and when the options pop up clear track and you get to play them differently.
My guess would be on sequence 2 pick up on the next track you didn’t use in sequence 1 then load a new program let’s say on track 18 if it was empty on sequence 1
Can't you just use a new program for track one of sequence two, thereby keeping the trap kit on track one of sequence one as well as the midi data but also allowing the ability to use a different program on track one of sequence two?

yeah im also downgrading they did too much with 3.0
I'm good I don't want it
Shit is backwards. Basically back to mpc 2000
It’s fucking horrid
I don’t think there is anything to worry about.
you totally miss the point

The sh** is still in beta let akai cook
Nah we good over here, a change like that will not be reverted, yall can have it

Got to preference, scroll down to load settings and select empty project and the trap kit will be gone when you turn on your mpc
