Can you please do more videos like this with other veggies and fruit around your garden. I live in Nebraska and so I am in or close to your zone which this video has helps me so much. I tried garlic this last year and didn't get very far, but now I know what I did wrong. Now I can move forward. I feel more videos like this and I could have a garden like you in no time. 😍 Love your loofahs.
I'm in Colorado.......only 50 miles from Kansas. I feel Bre gives the best straight forward explanations and we deal with the same wind, the same crazy fluctuations in temps. She is closest to my growing conditions. Good luck on your garlic. This is my first year too!
I just planted garlic for the first time this year. And checking videos,I found yours subscribed.Fifty six years of gardening so the last few years I have been trying something new every year.
I ordered from Mad River this year and my seed garlic is huge! Three times the size I got from another vendor last year. Thanks for the suggestion, Bre!
I'm going to give growing garlic a go. Thank you for taking the time to give such a detailed video on your process. I'm sure I will watch it more times just to make sure I give my garlic the best chance.
Nice tutorial on growing garlic! I think the more physical space between the garlic the less outward pressure on nearby bulbs to grow, hence you get larger cloves. I am going to go with 8" spacing this year instead of 6". I have a nearby garlic grower here in WI, Keene Garlic, that advocates soaking garlic in a fertilizer solution before planting. I purchase no fertilizers, so last year I soaked my garlic cloves in a worm casting/compost extraction overnight, can't say it made a huge difference, but my garlic did very well. Enjoy your videos! Stay Well!!!
I followed your onion and garlic planting methods last year and got better results than ever! I plan to follow your schedule again this year (and be more on top of watering and fertilizing 😅) and with a 1 to 2 week variation on time schedule due to where I live. Thank you so much for sharing, I always love your content!
Thank you Bre! I was waiting for your garlic video this year. This will be my official year planting garlic for the first time. Last year nothing grew 😢. Can wait to start planting! Thank uuuuuu!😊

What is the name of the softneck variety you are growing? I didn't catch it. I've grown Susanville in the past and really loved it--huge bulbs and huge cloves.
I try to buy in the place you said ( Mad River) but every time I put something in the cart and try to pay is erased.?I’m so sad I can buy it . But thank you for the wonderful information!

Great video, love the info and great tips. I’m in Oklahoma so we might be in the same zone. I’m 7b.
Hi hello Okie! I'm in N.E. Oklahoma, so it's a similar zone. 7a up here in my corner. ❤
@@mrsoctobertales, hello! I’m central, I’m 7b.
Select healthy garlic cloves that are free from pests and diseases, prioritizing larger cloves
If you like big garlic heads, try elephant garlic. You’ll love it! Greetings from Belgium.

Can you make a video on how you maintain your freeze dryer?
So why couldn't you use the garlic heads that you grew to plant? What is the difference between a "seed" garlic and a regular garlic?
Great video Thx.
That’s awesome, what was the name of that last soft neck you were talking about?
I was also looking for this information.
I apologize if I missed it, but with the soft neck garlics, how do you know when to stop fertilizing?
Can garlic be planted in a big container, about a yard wide & 30 inches deep?
I try to buy in the place you said ( Mad River) but every time I put something in the cart and try to pay is erased.?I’m so sad I can buy it . But thank you for the wonderful information!
I had the same problem trying to buy it. I’m wondering if you have to use a laptop or desktop and not do it on the phone.
Do you feed your garlic the day you plant it??
Hey Bre, fellow Kansan from Abilene. Would you please link to where you buy garlic. I just ordered some, and it is crazy expensive.
Mine are starting to poke out😳 idk what to do are they gunna die

Maybe I missed it, but why don't you use cloves from your previous harvest to plant for the following year? Why do you need to buy seed garlic?
Bre said she likes to dry most of her garlic to make garlic powder, rather than use it for seed.
I'm ready to plant my garlic now. I bought Organic Georgian fire, Chesnok Red, Purple Italian and Inchelium Red. 🎉🧄🧄🧄
