Here's a twist on hide and seek maps. Your goal is to all build 1 or multiple creations of a given size to place in someone else's map. It can be truly hidden, or hidden in plain sight. You can use a signature item, such as a stabilizer mug, to show that something is your creation, and you all seek each other's creations simultaneously.

I was told about your channel; including kAN's; from my grandson. That's when I got the game so he could play. I became interested in playing and now I spend hours playing and creating. My grandson is now 13 yo and beginning to understand how to use controllers, timers, pistons and the like. I believe you, and your cohorts, have help many younger people understand how the world works and applaud you all for that. Lately I've been watching Kosmo's play of Crashlander. Do you plan on making a series of Crashlander? Also, hoping someone creates a Hide and Seek using Crashlander. Thanks for the videos and look forward to watching more. Keep it up.

there is a LOT of stuff to do in scrap mechanic but it's mostly on the more technical side of the game, like piston engines, vanilla tanks, vanilla combat flyers, all logic stuff, low physics stuff... I played scrap mechanic at a low intensity for a while, until about 450 hours, and then joined the technical community discord and have been playing like 25 to 50 hours a week for the past two months because of all the new interesting things I have been learning and trying out.

Hey, just a thought... but you don't always need to come up with new ideas like you think. There are SOOOOO many old video ideas that I, and a lot of people, would LOVE to see you revisit. You, Kan, Kosmo, Moonbo, etc. are all better builders and players now than you used to be 2-3 years ago; so seeing how you use your new skills to overcome those challenges would be cool.
Like, ScrapOlympics, Log throwing, etc. Or even trailmakers, with the new pieces and whatnot, like king of the hill, gliders for distance, etc. I'm sure you could go through your old videos and find a bunch of ideas that could be revisited. Hell, make it a "Challenges Revisited" series... if the others are down. Esp Kosmo as his builds were really newb compared to you and Kan when he started... I'm sure he'd like a chance to redeem himself in a lot of those challenges.

From this video you really can feel, how SM takes this completely as a job. I know it is kinda sad, when UA-camrs don't do what they want to do, but what they have to do, to make their channel survive, but the fact is that (at least for me) SM is "the Scrap Mechanic/ trailmakers UA-camr" . For other content I simply watch others, it might be hard on SM and also other content creators but that's life.

Multiplayer Monday idea: Scrap Mechanic: tactical espionage action. You load up a challenge mode and one person had to try and complete the challenge while the other players have to try and stop you. Solo player gets hud, others don't. Can score it by who completes the challenge fastest or by who gets caught the fewest times.

The other hider is a ,,spectator’’ and can communicate with his hider partner. Like this, you can talk ‘telepathic’ to the hider, for him to be able to move around. Also it isn’t too hard for the seekers because they are two. Like this you can do the teams that survives the longest hiding with the two timey added on each other up wins.
Looking forward to see it ;)

Just build anything that will hopefully get you the win. Let's see Howmush destruction we can see when you're only limited to your imagination (and the 700 block limit).
Maybe build a plane with 5 of every weapon?
Maybe build a truck with 20 miniguns on the back.
Or maybe build a submarine that can fly so you can hide under the water.
I think it's will be fun too see what everyone comes up with.

Love to see you guys play more complex games like space engineers. Less “colorful” however allot more customizable options and would be super interesting to see you on a “let’s play” situation to get your audience adopted to all the mechanics as you learn them as well. At least learn them ahead of time so you can portray what you’re doing to the audience for those who don’t know the game.
I think that’s the largest bridge to any type of content moving onto new games, you gotta already semi know what you’re doing and explain to the audience why this game has your attention and all the cool stuff it brings and explain the processes of doing it. That way viewers like me or anyone else can better understand what you’re doing especially if we never played the game ourselves.
For me, I’ve never played scrap mechanic, however I was watching a UA-camr group that you randomly joined called “neebs gaming”. I enjoyed the fun hide and go seek and all kind of challenges that they did and you do as well which I ended up moving to you because of that.
With that said, you stopped doing challenge videos for scrap mechanic?? I miss those! Like race challenges and such? Though I’m still in the camp where I don’t like the other game you play in which you do stuff like that in now. Which is fine, I’ll watch those too from time to time.. though idk? For some reason I really don’t like that game haha.

Scrapman is the best. How it all started is that I was watching something on UA-cam then suddenly I saw this UA-camr called scrapman I watched his video and I loved it I started finding more of his videos and he kept on posting more and eventually I just watched all of them and it’s really been a nice year of 2022 and 2023 and videos in 2024 will be crazy

Hey ScrapMan! If you have games that you want to play one thing you could do to test the water with viewer engagement is do "game showcases", where you check out viewer-suggested and/or games that you just want to try out and you put like three games in one video. Even if there isn't a prospective game in a video it would be very cool content.

For new games you could try out BrickRigs! its a destruction and building game originally made arround lego bricks, but by now its more of a general car builder sandbox. you can do many things similar to scrap mechanik and there are basically no youtubers that do content for kids over the age of 10, but actually you can do some awesome stuff in it!

Not to brag or anything but I have over 7,000 hours in scrap mechanic. I dont really know how that number got so big but i've had the game since there was no workshop and you and your videos were the reason I bought the game. Keep doing what you do and thanks for the many years of laughs.

Ok video series idea (I know how terrible this could be but selfishly, I personally would like it), you could just so a video once a week or month where you try a random video that doesn't even have to fit your channel, maybe even take suggestions every once in a while. It would be especially funny to see you try a game you don't know how to play or are bad at. Idk just a thought me and my friends had.

Something you could do to have a chance to expend into other games is instead of picking one one in a while and rolling with it for a few episodes and then getting discouraged by the dwindling view counts, you could have a side series of at most 1 episode a week, where you just try another game blind, one time. The 1st video of any new game is always the one that gets the most views so that "series" should perform okay in general. Most of your audience would love to see how you approach different games even if they may not be in for the long run anyway, while new people might show up discovering your channel via those one shot games. Then, chances are one of them will pop occasionally, and comparing its number of views against the other videos in that series rather than against the rest of your established channel will give you a better idea of if it's likely to do well. From that point, if your standard audience sees a new game series appear, they'll have a reason to think it must be good if it made it out of that gauntlet, rather than just assume it's only another random thing they probably won't be interested in.
For the Scrapman Recap, you could get your community to post their favorite moment of the year in your discord channel, maybe even just one, and then only sort through that to make a best off, should make the whole process much easier and still make up a pretty sweet video.

The reason trail makers didn't perform as well on other channels (for me anyways) is because despite wanting to see Kans video of the multi-player thing you guys had, I would only get recommended yours, plus yours would usually come out first. UA-cam basically forced me to watch your pov of the videos, but at the end it I found out that you were pretty good too at making videos and just let UA-cam do that.

Suggestion: How about you start to learn how to and then develop your own mod for SM or TM. That way, you could partly follow that Idea of building your own game, stay close to the current community and still do something very new. This could also be done as a Stream with following upload as video...

Have you tried From the Depths? If you're not familiar, it's a voxel building game with the most detailed detection, creation, and armor mechanics I've ever seen... and some hilariously janky physics at times. It focuses on seagoing vessels, but there are subs, planes, spacecraft, skimmers, hovercraft, tanks, wheeled vehicles, fortresses, and structures as well.
It has the steepest learning curve I've ever seen as well. People are generally still considered quite new at 500 hours.
It'd be interesting to see a seasoned building game veteran learning it from the ground up, see how quickly you pick things up.
If you've had any 2D builders perform well, you could check out Dig or Die... it's an older game, and "finished", but it's much more build-focused than most Terraria-likes. It has structural simulation, so buildings can collapse if built poorly or damaged, and it also has fluid simulation, so you can build up a reservoir for example, to catch rain and then eventually run hydro power from it while also using it as a moat.
For your normal content, I've watched I think _most_ of your Trailmakers stuff. I do watch a fair amount of Scrap Mechanic, but the lack of collision damage or cascading damage, and the janky physics with wheels flopping around all over the place are kind of off-putting for me. On the other hand, I do respect how much bigger in scope the active blocks can be than in more simulated games like Trailmakers. You could never do something like Hide & Seek in Trailmakers, after all.
