god his voice went from being angsty and slightly roughened to now so angelic and smooth. i love hearing the difference between the original release of paper crown compared to this one. he’s grown so much.

I love this song so much. The first song of his I heard was If We Have Each Other. The first time I listened to it in 2019 I actually cried. That is the only song that has ever made me cry. I’ve never even cried watching a movie. And If We Have Each Other managed to just hit different. He tells a story about his life in his songs but at the same time we all relate so much that we find it satisfying to listen to. That is what makes him different.

It's scary that it's the most relatable song i have ever heard of.
This was the first song I heard from you and it's my very favorite. The story of a girl that's breaking inside while pretending nothing's happening, told as a classic fairytale with a sweet and poetic narration moves me and hits me so hard. I relate a lot to the lyrics. Thank you Alec for this precious gift to humanity.

i remember being on the stage in 5th grade, performing this for the talent show. that was the first song i ever heard from you, and i immediately fell in love. then i heard i built a friend, and so on and now i’m a big fan. everything about this song is so beautiful.. it brought me into music. thank you alec, for sharing your talent with us. you’ve changed so many lives. i love your music because of the stories they tell, stories that bring something out in me.
