This version of Whitesnake were the dogs dinner! Absolutely superb....Micky Moody & Bernie Marsden were brilliant together and never get the credit they deserve
THIS is Whitesnake...before the hairspray...the licking of the bass and the spinning guitars. Just straight forward kick ass rock and roll. And please..the best part. NO TAWNY!!
I am a fan of WHITESNAKE since the early 80ies. And although I like the music they are producing theses days, it is not same as it has been in thise days. For me, the best line-up was and will always be Coverdale-Marsden-Moddy-Murray-Lord-Paice.
Thank you UA-cam and Thundersteel. This remains a favorite till now & till I become deaf . I can play every note in my head having loved it for 40 years.
I tried to find this album about a year to a year and a half ago but couldn't. I was so stoked when I came across-ed it here. Thanks thundersteel! You rock cause you know what rocks!
Remember. U.S versions of records are distributed by different labels then in the U.K. or other world wide releases. Here in the U.S. we got a single lp. Either way. It is one one the great live albums of all time.
When Whitesnake was a real magnifiscient band. Soul, blues and hard-rock : the best combination ever. Away from the future band called Whitesnake parodic hair metal band.
La formazione in quel periodo era davvero straordinaria. Coverdale-Moody-Marsden-Murray-Lord-Paice. Certo non si può non dire che artisti come John Sykes o Adrian Vandemberg non lo siano altrettanto però quello di questo live è il periodo migliore artisticamente parlando....
Yes. Just got the comment. I will get back to. Finland pressings are not held in high regard. However, let me check on that one. You never know. Cheers. I will reply soon.

By FAR the best Whitesnake. Pure gold and world class. And what a singer DC was at that time. and Jon on keybord. For sure golden days.

+pjones8404 I agree 100000000000%!
77 to 84 was the best snake
When Whitesnake was Whitesnake!!
@@stevevergis1920 They weren't formed till '78.
The best part was - THE MIGHTY JON LORD.

One of the best 70s rock songs ever, and a fantastic version
I have this album and I treasure it always. Double LP we don't say that anymore do we.
I had this album too and my ex-wife sold it. What a bitch!
UA-cam Micky Moody and see what he looks like today! Still a good guitar player though.
This has not left me after 40 years. The kick I get out of it I can't in words. After 1987 Whitesnake is just crap.
I dreaded selling my double LP. But had no room. Had over 10k LP'S. But had to go to a smaller place.
Ian Paice’s drumming on this is outstanding

I'm almost the same way.
@@rrsplinter221 I am here again hahaha. From Don't Break My Heart Again..my all time Coverdale's favorite. I'll go to Ain't Gonna No More next
Still easily the best version.
One of the great live albums; right there with Strangers in the Night by UFO, Life by Thin Lizzy and Unleashed in the East by Priest.
Back before Coverdale nuetered the band and choked the soul out of it!
exactly

Bernie and Micky
1984 live in Cascais Portugal,my first concert ,in a hot summer night, what a night
I remember Jon lord playing keys at the Hammer-smith.
When Whitesnake was a real magnifiscient band. Soul, blues and hard-rock : the best combination ever.
Away from the future band called Whitesnake parodic hair metal band.
The ultimate Snake lineup - RIP Bernie X
Why was this concert not filmed?
It's the 2nd best Live album after Made In Japan by Deep Purple.
have this on vimyl ! it's old ,but i know every scrape, hiss , pop ,haa ,and glitch. OH GOD, it's a real old friend.
BRAVO FRATELO BOMBA
Absolutely love this live version, the right tempo whereas some others are too fast and ruin the feel of the song.
I agree with berndkleiter3626. This is essential true hard rock line up of Whitesnake
The U.S. version was a single lp. They have since re-released it as a double lp. But the original is a single.
