The heart and soul of whitesnake right there !!! Before it got hairspray stupid...I've seen most whitesnake line ups live and the 1980 ready n willing tour was the best
Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody - such under used and under-rated guitarists and Whitesnake would never have been so great without them at their peak. Ian Paice - one of a kind along with much missed Cozy Powell.
This version inspired our covers band, Lazy, to do it Brilliant guitar, really good voice, and by all accounts a thoroughly decent chap Bernie. Rest in Peace Mr rocking man
RIP Bernie, must have been strange for Coverdale, Lord and Paice, to go from working with Blackmore, to such a nice guy as Bernie, will be sadly missed.
Great to see these WS/DP veterans together on stage. Bernie's doing some nice vocals. Sure that he can't replace David's extraodinary voice of those days (nowadays even David can't). No one better than Don can play Jon's (r.i.p., we miss you) part.
i personally prefered the Marsden/Moody version of whitesnake much better than the commercilized version we were later forcefed its a shame bernie never got more famous
Wow, there are at least four legends on that stage. I have no idea who the other guitar player is, but the other four are veterans and they rock. Thanks for sharing, it was great!
And when "The Beast" begins to sing you know Bernie's on the stage and his fingers nearly fits between the frets, but OMG, he and his bandmates are still "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues"
I recall seeing ‘Company Of Snakes’ at Junction 10, near Walsall in the West Midlands, perhaps in the early ‘90’s. Instantly it was that ‘Ready & Willing’ sound. Line up then: Drums: Zac Starkey, Bassist :matter day ex- Bad Company, Don Airey on Keyboards and Micky Moody & Bernie Marsden on Guitars. Good to see Ian Paice here, with Don ( a break from the day job, I would presume)
@retrobiker fine, if that is what you think. I think that he should continue as he pleases to.. I am sure of whatever he does it will be great since he is david coverdale.. I like all the tempers of his voice.. same thing with bernie marsden as a guitarist
@leppardsnake Used to love coverdale but since his voice has declined not so much, hereas bernies voice over the years has inproved. Try listening to to the Bernie Plays Rory album msically it's better than cov's recent studio tracks.
@leppardsnake I don't dislike him, i just wish he would realise his vocal limitations, for me the screaming of heavy rock/blues don't work with his voice nowadays. Maybe the contact with Bernie will lead to some classic bluesy 'snake. I think his voice would sound less strained, his diction would be better and he wouldn,t keep shortening words.
Dave Dowle was the drummer on the studio version but I love Ian's feel here. Like day and night compared to Cozy who just bashed the shit to of the song bar any finesse when he was in Whitesnake .
@leppardsnake why I think you dislike him is that you bash him at every opportunity possible.. I say let's realize coverdale marsden and so on are both great musicians..
The heart and soul of whitesnake right there !!! Before it got hairspray stupid...I've seen most whitesnake line ups live and the 1980 ready n willing tour was the best
💯 %
We'll forever be walking in the shadow of your blues Bernie. RIP fella and thanks for the music!!
Ian Paice is extremely precise. No unnecessary "show off". Delicate playing from the best drummer in the world.
He's letting his drumming do the talking. :)
Paice has wrist control.
He's on another level, isn't he?
Это просто сказка ❤
yer what a great drummer
There needs to be a law against musicians passing away! Rest in peace. You were the master of "The Beast".
Bernie's singing is soulful and his guitar playing is superb.
Paiceys drumming is excellent.
Stunning bass from Neil Murray as usual
Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody - such under used and under-rated guitarists and Whitesnake would never have been so great without them at their peak. Ian Paice - one of a kind along with much missed Cozy Powell.
Flame Ryze ......everything you just said 👍
Neil Murray the Best!!!Fantastic!
I really love Ian Paice's drumming!
Bernie is the master of the blues rock guitar and not a bad voice either 😎🇬🇧🎸
Bernie has always had a great voice. Was excellent when he sang the odd track with Whitesnake and also with PAL beforehand. Love his solo stuff.
RIP Bernie. My first guitar hero
Very good vocalist🎤Bernie Marsden🎸
Man, Bernie is such a great singer.
R.I.P. Bernie!
One of the quiet heroes... So sad, he has gone.
I WAS ON THER CONCERT 1981 IN PARIS.WITH JON LORD AND IAN PACE.GREAT!
This version inspired our covers band, Lazy, to do it Brilliant guitar, really good voice, and by all accounts a thoroughly decent chap Bernie. Rest in Peace Mr rocking man
Rest in Peace Bernie. ❤️
RIP Bernie, must have been strange for Coverdale, Lord and Paice, to go from working with Blackmore, to such a nice guy as Bernie, will be sadly missed.
I'm amazed by this formation, Paice never lets down, Murray colouring the song with the bass line, Marsden sings his balls out. Excellent choice!
Great to see these WS/DP veterans together on stage. Bernie's doing some nice vocals. Sure that he can't replace David's extraodinary voice of those days (nowadays even David can't). No one better than Don can play Jon's (r.i.p., we miss you) part.
Brilliant version of a classic Whitesnake song with a pie-hot line-up too.
Dave Smale Yep, "pie-hot line-up" is the correct expression! Totally orsum...LOL Cheers, Jerry
The Ready and Willing album line-up for me is 2nd only to mk3 Deep Purple, no coincidence that 3 of the members are in both. Awesome rock music ❤️
Hear to feel the Bern. RIP Legend. ❤️
Ian Paice is the best Drummer all over the world !!!!
Yes he is!!!
Пэйс ,ядро DP.
ПОКА ОН ЖИВ,БУДЕТ И DP.
Man, this song gets even better with his vocal!
That was awesome !
Always a great song.
It's a great pleasure to see these excellent musicians in action.
Thanks for sharing.
COOOOOOOL !!!
Paice is the best !!!! he is THE DRUMMER !!!!
i personally prefered the Marsden/Moody version of whitesnake much better than the commercilized version we were later forcefed its a shame bernie never got more famous
Best whitesnake lineup marsden moody murray lord coverdale and paice
Thanks fellas.i needed these sounds.dig that keyboard sound.
Ian Paice's toms are undermixed ! What a pitty !
オリジナルの時から、バーニーの🎸と歌い方が💓♥️❤️だった❗️デヴィッドのソウルフルな歌声とは、また違った魅力がある😊👍
I luv ian paice drumming and he is my best drummer of all time, he is the best drummer in the world
He is amazing. The first time I heard the opening drum line on Fireball, literally blew me away.
No one plays this track like Ian Paice; awesome!🤟🏻🥁
Apart from the drummer who performed on the original version
@@oliverfletcher1939 - Bernie Marsden, (guitar) , Mickey Moody (guitar) , Neil Murray (bass) , Jon Lord (organ) Ian Paice (drums) ✌
David Dowle doesn’t play this track like Ian Paice. If you prefer the recorded version fair play to you...it’s great!👍😀
Looking back at this now, I totally understand why Purple took on Don to replace Jon! And Paicey always seriously good!
Excelente versión, Marsden con una voz bastante buena.
Rest in Peace Bernie Marsden
Paice rules!
This is just fabulous!
They are amazing!! Could and should do a world tour. I definitively would go and see them
Wow, there are at least four legends on that stage. I have no idea who the other guitar player is, but the other four are veterans and they rock. Thanks for sharing, it was great!
Respect. Thankyou. Always
Semplicemente il più grande batterista rock.....l'altro (Bonzo) se n'è andato anni fa.
Rest in peace Bernie
Bernies voice sounds good!
Best.
Agree- I`m getting goose-bumps on my arms!
Great lineup..
Half of the Ready & Willing band!!
W O W !!!!!
Thanks for sharing!
But I honestly miss the Maestro Jon Lord.....
it's from Ian paice 7 friends, Live at Reading, official release, availble from Drumwright,Reading, Berks, England.
And when "The Beast" begins to sing you know Bernie's on the stage and his fingers nearly fits between the frets, but OMG, he and his bandmates are still "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues"
Yes- they are fantastic.
The keyboardist is Don Airey!
super, beautifully, thank you
Damn sounds great, many thanks for this post
Great lineup 👍
Awesome!
Great Musicians / Great Song 😎👊
4 ex- musicians of WS play here a great classic of THE Snake :-) so nice !
Very Cool !
Wow,,
BERNIE is genius!
I recall seeing ‘Company Of Snakes’ at Junction 10, near Walsall in the West Midlands, perhaps in the early ‘90’s. Instantly it was that ‘Ready & Willing’ sound. so kool great sound
Legends
Ian’s great 🥢
Ian ha dimenticato il finale sul più bello. Comunque la rullata è micidiale!
oh yeaaah bro ian paice ......
🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Heck yeah
WOW! Incredible.. Wish DC had been there to play with them. Sorry but add John Sykes too. Then back up!
John Sykes would not fit the old Snake, better choice would be Ad Vandenberg then.
sad but true
swietna wersja
RIP Birnie.
Красава !
@retrobiker fine, if that is what you think.
I think that he should continue as he pleases to.. I am sure of whatever he does it will be great since he is david coverdale.. I like all the tempers of his voice..
same thing with bernie marsden as a guitarist
👏👌👏
Bernie Marsden& Friends
Brernie Marsden fucking goodddddd
Профи!!!!!сказать больше не чего.
Как он там, вообще, оказался? Нууу, силён!!!!!!
@leppardsnake Used to love coverdale but since his voice has declined not so much, hereas bernies voice over the years has inproved. Try listening to to the Bernie Plays Rory album msically it's better than cov's recent studio tracks.
Marsden's sounding much better on this one.
jeeeehaaaa
It was in the Sunflower Jam 2008?
This was an Ian Paice drum clinic show at Reading sports centre, 2006, I went !!
Bernie sounds quite similar to Paul Rodgers
It's new band with deep Purple drummer?
Who is the 2nd guitar player ?
Purplesnake, what can be better
Still true 😅
GREAT COVVERDALE!!!!
I typed in Little and Large and got this!
Not even Whitesnake itself would make a better version of this song, nowadays.
Dave Dowle was the drummer on the studio version but I love Ian's feel here. Like day and night compared to Cozy who just bashed the shit to of the song bar any finesse when he was in Whitesnake .
ハモンドオルガンの音は恐ろしいw
The sound of the hammond organ is awesome, you know nothing of what you speak!
@leppardsnake why I think you dislike him is that you bash him at every opportunity possible.. I say let's realize coverdale marsden and so on are both great musicians..
Звук барабанов на мой взгляд должен быть ярче, особенно для этого исполнения Пейса, и этой вещи!
@T30warcheif Lets be honest Coverdale can't sing like coverdale anymore anyway.
How f**king loud is that bass in the mix, this is supposed to be Bernie Marsden and his Les Paul.
Neil's bass was always up in the mix. Listen to the Original on Lovehunter!
Donald Smith Airey
Neil John Murray
Ian Anderson Paice
Bernard John Marsden
