I must say that Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu are great metal guitarists and composers and it was a bit complicated to make a choice cos' I love a bunch of Trivium's songs and guitar riffs such as Ember to Inferno, To Burn The Eye, Like Light to The Flies, Declaration, Detonation, Tread The Floods, Down From The Sky, Built to Fall, Anthem, Becoming The Dragon and a ton more great songs but I made my choice and really hope you will like it my friends. I’ve watched a pile of your videos.. and finally subscribed.. and I’m impressed by how damn good you are with that guitar.. I guess once you reach a certain level of skill learning things become much easier.. you just kinda know we’re it’s at and how it’s played.. I’m getting to that point.. but still gotta ways to go to play every riff by what seems to be every single damn band.. do you ever put the guitar down? Lol

@Ambivalent The riff that really got me into Shogun (after having been disappointed with The Crusade). Interestingly, much later I developed a great appreciation for The Crusade and its now one of my favorite records.

michal kleban yes! I could put that video up.. definitely my favorite band to cover.. probably because their stuff is usually a little easier then a band such as trivium.. I just love the melody killswitch brings to everything they put together.. they top every other band with the melodic factor with that in my opinion and are unique..

@@notmrcrowley9757 i might have got ahead of myself a bit because i dont know the first thing about playing guitar, but just hearing In Waves so many times and seeing and hearing many different people play it, this really was the first time that it sounded right. usually people dont do enough strums on the “chorus chug parts” if you know what i mean, and it just sounds weird when they do that
