Freaking out over this? No. Go watch his last deep water solo where he rips a hold off a mountain and then plummets into the sea, compared to a lot of the shit climbers do this was relatively tame or comparable at the least.
the instinctive reflex for protecting the eye and the skull design around that area makes eye damage be quite uncommon, even more so when you are hanging on a bar wich isn't very different from hanging on a tree branch, so evolution did it's job cuts around and on the eyebrow are, in contrast, VERY common, probably because of the same reasons humans aren't tough like some animals but we aren't so weak either, it's normal to get these average cuts and bruises in sports
That whole conversation seemed weird. Don't know if he talked about it already, but that sounded a lot like concussion talk to me. I'm glad he is ok now anyway.
Yeah, especially since we found out in Juji's video that Magnus both bled and finished the course, though we still have no clear explanation for the large bruise on his shin... Just that it had something to do with ANW. For The Great Magnus to admit to issues after breaking the bar, though, makes me hope he at least got further checked out after his final run.
Props to the camera man tbh. Asking the right questions at the right time, pepping him up but in an effectionate way (like not aggressively). Really upped the quality of the video a lot! Good job man.
Climbers have the best base of any athlete to do Ninja Warriors. Honestly he just needs to work on conditioning the most. Speed climbers like Sean McColl are climbers with great conditioning and they kill it, he's honestly the best ninja and he's doesn't even get to compete in the regular seasons due to his nationality.
Broke the bar that almost took your eye out and still completing the course after a week of training?! I'm fairly convinced Magnus is a robot. And that's fake blood capsule was a nice touch to keep us all believing you're human
Carbon fiber it strong but can easily snap on hard impacts or if bent too much... Poor design choice Ninja Warrior :( I guess they thought the elastic cords would reduce the impact force (which it did)...but when the big drop occurred the bar deflected past it's elastic state and just snapped! Hire some engineers to design some proper equipment Overall great run Magnus!
It is not the problem of it being CFRP, it's just that a sane course designer would get an engineer to calculate the load and stress, sufficient dimensions, choose the proper filament directions and check failure modes, then run a qualification process; or choose a constructive element qualified for the applied forces. And intervals to check for damage/fatigue. This is just irresponsible af, with even lightweight-Magnus being able to break it using a rather wide grip. Probably got some Walmart broom stick there. Stupid low-cost/high-risk mindset.
@@pluienoire6174 You have to factor in that the bar had to be lightweight. They weren't expecting super man with gods grip to bless the course with his presence!

A douche who's lucky that Juji isn't a roid rager with lacking social etiquette, who wouldn't take that kind of banter with a friendly smile, like roughly half the dudes who have Juji's physique. I'm not implying that half of men with Juji's physique would have escalated it to a fight in the same situation, but surely many of them would have barked back a bit and raised the tension a notch or two higher. with the bar, i think they thought that if they made it out of carbon fiber it would be stronger but carbon fibre is strongest for tensile loads where it is stronger than steel. For an application like that its a Shearing/Bending load which is where carbon fiber is weakest. Its no surprise its broke, carbon fiber has only about 4% the strength when in shear conditions as it does when under tensile loading.

Duuude! I was sitting in the soffa watching and hyperventilating while looking at that final run! Legendary effort!!
me too!!!
Dude! It's your turn, Eric. Juji, Magnus, even the Bobat boys did it. Seeing your crew give it go would be AWESOME! Climbers are ridiculously athletic.

Congratulations, Magnus!

Is Anton russian?
@@Chesuire yeah, at least that's what they said in Jujimufu's video. He sounded like an american-russian accent, as well. I might be wrong, though.
@@ja9ni610 Thx! I just caught that joke about borken bar made in Russia out of nothing and that true russian facial impression of a guy couldn't understand why this joke appeared as russians believe quality of things connected to sports is respected)
Go to Anton ig, in november 2018 he uploaded a video Magnus saying goodluck on him competing in ninja warrior, they are friends i guess
Anton was so wholesome. So encouraging and right before Magnus last run he says "Magnus. Just have fun". What a guy.
Anton is such a genuine guy. He just wants to see his friend do well and have fun.
Wow. He just came within an inch of losing his eye and no one is freaking out.
I thought the same. I'm very happy for him and his life that it didn't happen.
Same feelings here. What a freak accident.
That's what I said. I'm really pissed at people giggling like it's a joke.
Freaking out over this? No. Go watch his last deep water solo where he rips a hold off a mountain and then plummets into the sea, compared to a lot of the shit climbers do this was relatively tame or comparable at the least.
the instinctive reflex for protecting the eye and the skull design around that area makes eye damage be quite uncommon, even more so when you are hanging on a bar wich isn't very different from hanging on a tree branch, so evolution did it's job
cuts around and on the eyebrow are, in contrast, VERY common, probably because of the same reasons
humans aren't tough like some animals but we aren't so weak either, it's normal to get these average cuts and bruises in sports

Dakshil Zalavadiya sammeeeee lmfao
That was the best. Akbar tried to be a dick, but the fact that Juji didn't even know who he was completely deflated him.
That whole conversation seemed weird. Don't know if he talked about it already, but that sounded a lot like concussion talk to me. I'm glad he is ok now anyway.
That was beautiful dude
@@SuperAwesomeVidya I don't think he was trying to be a dick, just playing around making conversation.

*_When Magnus Puts a DISCLAIMER with blood you know it's gonna be a crazy one_*
Ive been refreshing Magnus' page since Juji's video went live
Same
No you haven’t
Yeah, especially since we found out in Juji's video that Magnus both bled and finished the course, though we still have no clear explanation for the large bruise on his shin... Just that it had something to do with ANW. For The Great Magnus to admit to issues after breaking the bar, though, makes me hope he at least got further checked out after his final run.
Yup
Magnus, Juji, and Tom all have a dope friendship that you can really tell is genuine and it makes me happy when i watch these videos.
So lucky I randomly messaged him almost a year ago!
Props to the camera man tbh. Asking the right questions at the right time, pepping him up but in an effectionate way (like not aggressively). Really upped the quality of the video a lot! Good job man.

The russian guy knows magnus could easily be a top 5 GOAT ninja with little training. And its true.
@@ponli7532 He can compete but he doesn't want to stand in a queue for 5 hours.
@@ishmamadnan4797?? you have to be an american citizen to compete in ANW.

Literally! The gear was not strong enough for the Might of Magnus!!!
best comment ever!
Had to like becuse facts
Ahahahaha so damn right
they put cheap bars
Juji not knowing Akbar and being like “oh he’s the host” was hilarious 😂
Carbon fiber it strong but can easily snap on hard impacts or if bent too much... Poor design choice Ninja Warrior :( I guess they thought the elastic cords would reduce the impact force (which it did)...but when the big drop occurred the bar deflected past it's elastic state and just snapped! Hire some engineers to design some proper equipment
Overall great run Magnus!
I agree. May I recommend a florescent shop bulb.
Also need to consider that the sun will increase the likelihood for that shit to break by 200%
@@pluienoire6174 You have to factor in that the bar had to be lightweight. They weren't expecting super man with gods grip to bless the course with his presence!
A very bad look for NW. They need to get Magnus something for his suffering. At the very least invite him back next year (which only helps their product look better).
Watching Magnus do those first two obstacles is like watching him flash a V2, just effortless. Also despite his limited vocabulary, Anton was a great coach and said all the right things.
An professional can explain to other professionals, an expert can explain to anyone.
Anton is clearly an expert at what he does.

@@josephgomez2249 He's the host of a major network show and a former NFL player. Dude definitely outranks Juji
@@whohasallmyusernames Yeah, and he's not to subtle about shoving it in Juji's face either, and right in front of all of his own friends, no less (you and I both know that exchange was awkward for Juji and everyone who associates with him). He's a douche.
I'm also not saying that it's wrong (or right for that matter). It's kind of what these "alpha types" do - the usually not-so-subtle dick measuring competitions. They go on swinging their dicks around until someone puts them in their place. It's a bit obnoxious, but I guess that's the point of their act.
@@JamesBrown-wy7xsyou're over reacting lol. Just cause he gets under your skin, doesn't mean the guy is a douche or whatever. Dude just asking because juji is big and the guy wants to know...
Only reason that alpha host was there and licked ass was so they didnt get sued..
I've never wanted anyone to complete a course as much as Magnus and Juji. So stoked for you guys
with the bar, i think they thought that if they made it out of carbon fiber it would be stronger but carbon fibre is strongest for tensile loads where it is stronger than steel. For an application like that its a Shearing/Bending load which is where carbon fiber is weakest. Its no surprise its broke, carbon fiber has only about 4% the strength when in shear conditions as it does when under tensile loading.
Man, that Anton is really nice! He was seriously moved by Magnus' accomplishment! :)

Magnus would have completed the course x10 faster if he had his daily fix of chalk first.
I don't think Carbon Fiber can handle a chalked up Magnus. Hell, it couldn't handle him without it.
If he had his normal breakfast of chalk he would have destroyed this
That wasn't magnus' blood. Magnus can make carbon fiber poles bleed.

As a Pediatric ER physician my heart stopped when the bar snapped, I agree with other commenters that this could have been way worse! Roff you don’t think people sight a waiver before they do this?
Yeah seriously, that sort of thing turns sports into idiocy.
Agreed what a pile of shit, guys didn't even say anything..
@@lesbiehonest8914 If they don't have a specific clause in that waiver for injuries from broken or mismanaged equipment, they could likely be sued, at least for a larger injury like losing an eye. However, since it's an American show the waiver probably covers absolutely everything and anything. Still though, any deal or waiver can be challenged in court of law, in this case for example for gross mismanagement or misrepresentation of the courses safety.
I'm not saying Magnus should do be looking to sue ofc, just that law is never that simple.

I love how the host of the show just randomly pops in after Magnus gets injured and tries to change the subject really quick by addressing to Juji about how big he is and how much he can bench, but totally leaves the fact that Magnus just got hurt by one of his equipment failing... He did this just to distract the attention, to dissipate the heat of the moment.
