@janetbillingsley950 they loose some of their color in the jar. Mine didn't turn white, but got lighter.

I buy lids in bulk from Dutchman online, I also have used For Jars lids, and I really like Tattler reusable lids.

@@saltandlightcanning4061 will check out the Dutchman online. I have purchased For Jars Lids but have used them yet. And I also purchased the Tattler lids and have not used them yet. Thank you so much for the advice. This is the year for me to can a lot.

Please do not throw away the tops!! They are full of great nutrients! I pour vinegar over them put them in the refrigerator for a week and then drain and make a vinaigrette!! So so good!!
