He just wants to do right by everyone, wants to avenge his adopter and to just get together with his loved one, and somehow ends up "betraying" the brotherhood. Like Shay, he cares about whats right, even if it goes against his mentors and assassins brothers. Bellec kinda represents how radical an assassin can become in porsuit of his goals. Both Rogue and Unity show a different perspective about the Templar-assassin conflict.

And then it goes off and expresses the sadness of the French Revolution, while also giving off a slight feeling of hope. This is the perfect song for an Assassin's Creed, the techno rhythm of the beginning combined with the instruments achieves that essence that we look for so much in these games.
Just beat the game, absolutely loved it! Yes you heard right. This game was not awful. It wasn't even bad. In fact, I preferred this over AC3. Combat is more challenging, the controls are nice (for the most part), weapon choices are nice, story was good. I don't get how people are saying that this game was awful. Everyone has an opinion, but with the amount of negativity I heard from this game, I wasn't that hyped about getting it. I was still gonna get it, because shit, don't I love an AC game, but still. It wasn't until I played it that I realized I was actually loving it. The only thing I didn't like, more so at first anyway, is dropping from ledges, and it being picky about it because it doesn't want me to take damage, which either means taking another route, or doing the button combination correctly so that he will fall, with or without damage, I don't really care usually, I just want off. XD So people, stop telling others "don't buy it, it's awful" or even "get a pirated version", like no, support Ubisoft. I'm done.
AC3 starts so slow I almost fall asleep during the beginning, Ubisoft fixed this with ACIV which starts way faster. Unity is not bad overall, but still has a good chunk of bugs and the microtransactions are a minus.
I just finished Unity 2 days ago, and personally, I really liked it! Sure it coulee been better, but at its core, it's a great game! I mean it really is, good job Ubi! I just wish this game didn't get so much hate :\
It was a really good game that suffered from really bad coding. The story was also quite compelling, and on the whole I enjoyed it a lot, but it was evident to me that they were trying to recapture Ezio's essence, and that took away from it just a little for me. In the big picture, of course, I remain an Assassin's Creed fan who has enjoyed every title they've released.
Unity had a nasty release, it got a bad rep for it. It had arguably the best freerunning moves, the coolest weapon system, an amazing combat system, great and unique stealth mechanics, and a beautiful environment and atmosphere.
I honestly went into Unity with no expectations, I just wanted to play a game with actual Assassins after the stuff they put out over the last three or so years. And oh boy was I amazed. Unity might actually be one of my favorite Assassin's Creed games. Perhaps only AC2 and Revelations top it for me. Was it perfect? Absolutely not, I thought the combat was a little floaty. But was it worth it? Yes. Does it deserve the negativity? Absolutely not. So, AC fans, please buy this game. Don't listen to the Ezio fanboys saying that the game isn't good. Get this game. You'll enjoy it.
I just played Assassin's Creed Unity and I consider it by far the best AC game. I played them all before but this one is just great. I loved how I wasn't simply instructed to do this or that objective only I was given some hints about the missions. I also loved that it was much harder to get away from the guards than before making it an awesome stealth game. The story was also pretty good Elise was a great complication in the story I loved the game all together.
GOSH. Memories of the Bastille and Arno and lots of melancholy and bittersweet Elise. And this guy did Fringe too! No wonder i could detect a bit of his style....The anxiety he can inject into his pieces
This is my first Assassins Creed, I am one of the new generation Assassins...and this will be held close to me forever as my first...and favorite AC game...for now.
elimon8tor01 I disagree. It's got its issues, sure, but it's not terrible. Honestly, if it weren't for the plot and the really awkward way they cover the French Revolution, it would be quite fun. It's got the best freerunning in the series, I think. That said, the older ones are good too. That's what great about Assassin's Creed; every title is worth playing through at least once, and some (Black Flag and II, in my case) are worth two or three playthroughs.
Unity is just one of many, you do not know the legacies, the stories, the knlodge, and the sacrifice of the other assassins, play the rest and Unity will soon unfold. For example Rogue will explain Arnos fathers death..
Ryan Howard Well I'm glad you got Unity before the rest of the games. If you played the Kenway and Ezio trilogies before... you would kind of hate Unity. I don't hate it, though, it's just that ACU doesn't add anything interesting to the overall story. Unity in itself is a great game (great freerunning, side-missions, location), but it doesn't make any good to the fictional storyline. Maybe that's one of the major reasons of all the hate (aside from endless bugs). If you ask me, Black Flag is a good pirates and Assassin's Creed game IMHO, it did have a lot to contribute to both the storyline and the gameplay. One of the bests up to date. Yet my favorites remain the Ezio trilogy (not that I'm an Ezio fanboy, I just loved the settings, the soundtracks and the ambience of those over the rest of the franchise)
AC Unity, although initially hated due to the superficial judgement from the bugs and early onset issues, that have since been fixed, is the culimination / epitome of the old AC Generation. It truly brings together the best from every AC game prior to it, combined with a well written, emotional story. I am truly glad that in recent times, people have begun to realize how fantastic this game really was and just how far it was in terms of graphics and movement. It looks graphically better than most games today if not on par with them. Glad to see it’s finally getting the love it deserves!
Honest opinion; Unity has been my favourite AC entry for FREE ROAMING and PARKOUR. It is kinda my favourite for GRAPHICS too because the streets feel so real with crowds and stuff. It's June 2022 and still playing!
0:00 - 0:29 Ezio's Family. 0:30 - 0:50 French Takeover. It makes so much perfect sense because Italians and French are like brothers of Latin Europe, kinda like Argentina and Brasil are brothers in Latin America. The French take the masterpiece they inherit from their cooler, older brother and make it their own, magnificent. Absolutely asnotinishing soundtrack, best AC in the Franchise, this theme is top3 in the entire series at the very least.
I've been such a nerd of AC Unity for a long time, I'm a gen z so this the first story game I've ever played and honestly i never got bored of it. People failed to realize how much work the developers put in this game, there's so much details when you actually enjoy the game like a normal person instead of complaining about minor details. New assassin's creed games are great too but let's be honest they're just remakes of the previous game
Been saying it for years man. This is the most underrated AC game to ever have come out. And it's also the best. Finally it's receiving some love and I just hope more people give it a chance. Bugs should not put you off a game. Real gamers look past that. Bugs only effect competition gamers like call of duty etc but assassin's creed is for thr stories right? I it had it's flaws like most games but it's just not that bad. Not as bad as what they have become. RPG really killed it for the old school AC players for sure.
This game was released buggy and got beat up on. Now I am playing it again wishing unity was the model of games going forward. The multiplayer missions was so much fun. The graphics still beats Valhalla by a wide margin.
I'm gonna be totally honest. As much as I love Unity, you can see how some things were rushed. The huge amount of simple features missing from the past games like whistling, hiding bodies, etc. Arno is a pretty cool character in my opinion, but I feel the story could have utilized him a lot more along with the whole French Revolution thing. Also, the plot was a bit too cliche and predictable. Still, the game looks amazing and I enjoy the new things.
Decided to listen to this so as to pay homage to Notre-Dame, and this is amazing! Soon I shall get the game and play it so I can explore the cathedral itself. Also, Ubisoft has decided to donate 500,000 Euros to help with the restoration. (Also, I believe Unity could be a key factor in helping to rebuild Notre-Dame. Anyone else agree?)
0:32 I LOVE when this part of the song kick in snd the song gives me freling indescribable with words but when the song gets more quieter I just say "Screw it" and going back to 0:00
It's an injustice that they released the game at that time. They could have waited another 6-7 months of development and it would have been the franchise's rare gem. After they added rpg to the franchise, it only got worse. Today it's the only game with the best parkour, the best graphics in the franchise, unfortunately it's the only one and ubisoft hasn't realized that we want another in the same vein.
One of the best soundtracks and Assassin's Creed games to date. Thanks ubisoft. Oh and I would like to mention this the one thousandth comment on this soundtrack
I love this game so much. Although I finished the missions, I still roam the entire map to this day, completing heists and playing with friends. I don't see why people hate on this game so much, it really makes me sad :/
Glad I gave Unity a second chance, now I absolutely love it. It is the only AC game where we see a major historical event taking place Live, so astonishing 🙌
If you pay attention and "read" the music, you can hear that at the beggining is pretty much Ezio's Family, and after 0:29 it comes the french takeover, its like the revolution is literally taking a entrance to take the music for herself in a very chaotic, epic and misterious ambience
Все мы когда играли в любую серию игр от Assassin's creed то всегда хоть на немножко оставались в главном меню чтобы послушать этот божественный саунтрек
I'm still crying for two reasons, First the ending, second all the potential that got trashed. It's sad playing this game knowing what his launch did to the franchise
I recently got a PC made, and I had been playing through the AC games. Finished unity 2 days ago. Fucking loved it. So far it was the epitome of the experience of an assassin for me, some features were missing, the story was lacking a bit, but really loved it. I wish Arno has a sequel, in the same engine. Almost every assassin should get at least two games.
Just this game being about the french revolution can't make myself prouder as a french who love my country no matter how bad it is! I played this game and I really enjoyed it, I don't understand all the hate towards it, well for the bugs I can understand tho but the story of the game was really nice. For me they really did a great job. The soundtrack? Amazing The game itself? Epic. All the assassin's creed games was for me amazing. I learned so much of history in it, it teached me better than my teachers.
Unity is the most AC game in the whole AC franchise imo. There're no silly mini games to take your attention away from stucking your blade in people's neck. Simple, straight forward and fluid. Parkour in Unity is just top tier. How did they make it so smooth idk but I thing I know for sure is that climbing those towers in Paris actually made my hands a bit sweaty (I don't like heights). Combat is ofc not the main selling point so it's kept relatively easy to learn and master. You can wait for a parry, if there're more than 5 dudes smoke bomb and dip, go hide and fuck them up behind the covers you know the drill. Visual is *chef kiss* magnifique. How did they make a 2013 game looks next gen is beyond me. I picked this game up last year thinking it's a somewhat new release after Syndicate. Story, nice. Side quests are surprisingly not fetch quests which made Ubisoft famous lol. The map is not bloated and stuffed with meaningless objectives, chests/collectables/unique encounters are spread evenly so the pace of the game feels very natural. I rate it a strong 9/10, if not for the random crashes here and there it would be an easy 10.
To save you from the aggressive thumbs if the average AC oldhead. All of the AC games from the first one to Origins were the most "Assassin's Creed" games in the Assassin's Creed franchise

XD
So people, stop telling others "don't buy it, it's awful" or even "get a pirated version", like no, support Ubisoft. I'm done.
Well said bro
AC3 starts so slow I almost fall asleep during the beginning, Ubisoft fixed this with ACIV which starts way faster.
Unity is not bad overall, but still has a good chunk of bugs and the microtransactions are a minus.
Anything is better than AC3 imo
@@thatlazguy well said, but ac3 still my fav
I couldn´t agree more with you
I just finished Unity 2 days ago, and personally, I really liked it! Sure it coulee been better, but at its core, it's a great game! I mean it really is, good job Ubi! I just wish this game didn't get so much hate :\
Same here I loved it. wish it was given a 2nd chance
I finished the game in like 3 weeks ( including Mgsv and bo3, I was just rushing in the game

No words for this game... Arno is legend
Unity had a nasty release, it got a bad rep for it. It had arguably the best freerunning moves, the coolest weapon system, an amazing combat system, great and unique stealth mechanics, and a beautiful environment and atmosphere.
I loved unity back when it first released I think it was 2014
Most criminally underrated assassin's creed game ever.
For sure
Right next to black flag
@@JamalSnitchy black flag is like an exception among the AC's franchise because people see it as a pirates game. Still one of my favourite AC
@@amaury4417 I agree, even though I might be bias.
1:55 is a unique take on ezio’s family theme.

Great theme song and underrated game. I still play it all the time. It’s fun just running around causing havoc. Best part of this theme starts at 2:00
what your iingame
Add me
1:53 to be precisely exact
It starts way earlier for me alright, right around 0:35
For me 0:44 is the best part
I will always love Unity - one of my favorite games ever
GOSH. Memories of the Bastille and Arno and lots of melancholy and bittersweet Elise.
And this guy did Fringe too! No wonder i could detect a bit of his style....The anxiety he can inject into his pieces
this game feels like it came out yesterday.
where is this ubisoft gone...
Combination of organ + piano + violin + synthesizer from 2:00 is amazing
This is my first Assassins Creed, I am one of the new generation Assassins...and this will be held close to me forever as my first...and favorite AC game...for now.
You have a lot to learn about the old AC's…Unity will be trash when you play them
elimon8tor01 I disagree.
If you're looking for continuity, Rogue is the way to go. I definitely recommend playing the others before it, as there WILL be spoilers.
Best Ac ever ❤
Also one of the best dlc’s ever, it had everything an assasin’s creed dlc needed, and it is even free.
Finaly someone with some IQ
Started playing this again this week, it's the peak of the series
AC 2
AC3
AC Unity were probably the most cinematic theme songs, in my opinion.
Rogue as well
Don’t forget Brotherhood and Revelation.
10 years. Time flies.
An Assassin's Creed game based on the French Revolution? We just finished the French Revolution in history class XD
Curtis Yue Yo same
Совпадение, не думаю
Same
Pffffft I read read odyssey in literature and studied the Byzantine empire in history AS i took turns played ac revelations and odyssey
lol i learn more from ac than history. there should be one that takes place in Scandinavia, like with vikings and all that
This soundtrack... The combination of Ezios family, Unitys atmosphere and modern day feels like a miracle. Love this song.
This is actually Thriller/Detective type of game. Really awesome
A melhor trilha sonora de todos os AC ❤😢
Been saying it for years man. This is the most underrated AC game to ever have come out. And it's also the best. Finally it's receiving some love and I just hope more people give it a chance. Bugs should not put you off a game. Real gamers look past that. Bugs only effect competition gamers like call of duty etc but assassin's creed is for thr stories right? I it had it's flaws like most games but it's just not that bad. Not as bad as what they have become. RPG really killed it for the old school AC players for sure.
Idk how but the music just feels so good inside when I hear it

Listened to this so many times, i can't get enough of it !! :D
This game is fantastic.. will never forget those days when it was my most played game on my PS4, the novel by Oliver Bowden is gripping as well
This game was released buggy and got beat up on. Now I am playing it again wishing unity was the model of games going forward. The multiplayer missions was so much fun. The graphics still beats Valhalla by a wide margin.
Do I hear Ezio? Hmmm.....
Guy's Ezio's Family lives on even during the French Revolution.
Kuze Hibiki I do also
I think Ezio's theme has evolved and become the overall theme for AC. It's very noticeable in Rogue and Syndicate

No matter what people say, this is one of the best games of all time.
2:28 - when you are an Assassin but also a Blade Runner...
Love it.
Yeah it reminded me of blade runner lol
My fav Assassin's Creed game and ost
I'm gonna be totally honest. As much as I love Unity, you can see how some things were rushed. The huge amount of simple features missing from the past games like whistling, hiding bodies, etc. Arno is a pretty cool character in my opinion, but I feel the story could have utilized him a lot more along with the whole French Revolution thing. Also, the plot was a bit too cliche and predictable. Still, the game looks amazing and I enjoy the new things.
@@Ty-v6v-c4r True
They could have atleast kept the hidden blade as a weapon and you can change into fists to fight bad guys in hand to hand combat
@@koryyyRae I agree. Also add meat shields and whistling.
Its alright, I've never played any assassins creed game, this was my first, its really good for a new person like me
This IS one of the best Assassin's Creed Soundtrack ever made...
Anyone else agree?)
wanna play together?
The most under-rated game in AC History
I love this game so much. Although I finished the missions, I still roam the entire map to this day, completing heists and playing with friends. I don't see why people hate on this game so much, it really makes me sad :/
I completed it to 100% and reached legend in 2015. I user to play it 12 hours a day then. Good old days.
Who think this game should be remastered on PS5 and Series X ?
I think it still looks very good. The second part needs a remaster more
After 3 or 4 years
Dosent need a remake still looking beautiful, more than odyssey
This game has the best Parkour system in any assassins creed game !
Ac Unity & Ac 3 didnt get appreciation that it needs!
Assassin's Creed Unity is so Underrated and it's One of My favorite Assassin's Creed Games

Almost every assassin should get at least two games.
corpo greed ruined this game otherwise the story would've been better
Best story of Assassin creed
Just this game being about the french revolution can't make myself prouder as a french who love my country no matter how bad it is! I played this game and I really enjoyed it, I don't understand all the hate towards it, well for the bugs I can understand tho but the story of the game was really nice. For me they really did a great job. The soundtrack? Amazing The game itself? Epic.
All the assassin's creed games was for me amazing. I learned so much of history in it, it teached me better than my teachers.
Best Assassin's Creed game EVER. Nothing can possibly dethrone Unity as my favourite AC game of all time.
if you keep that is best AC for you, I have no problem with that.

In my opinion Unity is the second worst Assassin's Creed.
@@tritonk1759 oui moi aussi c'est mon préféré assassin creed unite :)
Me : "whew, finished the story, and i love the gameplay"
Uplay : "oh really? Since you like it so much why don't i reset your whole progress"
Same thing happened to me...

The Soundtrack tells more stories than a Game ever could.
The game may have been buggy but you gotta admit the graphics, story, music and characters were epic
the parkour in this one is my absolute favourite in the whole series and arno is the best
My boy Arno deserves a sequel please
I really love the unity story, I can't stop to play it and think I am the one who is jumping from a building to anothers
Crazy what memories a music can remind you

I've got Unity as soon as it released (i've done with Black Flag and had no games to play that time) and tbh i didn't even know about the issues (bugs and glitches) until i finished the game. But well, even if there's bugs i remember very well that i do really enjoy Unity. The smooth parkour, crounching stealth, also many animations for assassination just unforgetable. I think its the first (and sadly the last) game that makes me feel just like an Assassin.
