- What Happened To The 29 Players Drafted Before Jimmy Butler?
The 2011 NBA Draft was, well, one of the weaker draft classes of the 2010’s decade. But it did produce a few gems that went on to make something special out of their careers and help to change the entire fate of the NBA.

Corrections:
- Kyrie played six seasons for CC
- Mirotic plays for Barcelona not Real Madrid 😅
- Vuc was involved in the 4 team trade for dwight howard, he was not a back up behind him
- Jan Vesley actually had a good career overseas & has played with Mirotic Barcelona
keep working man for this to be the first video this is amazing
You listed Tristan Thompson and Enes Kantor as 3rd overall
Jan won the euroleague with Fenerbahçe and bring the trophy to Turkey for the first time
Maybe you can re-record this video with correct stats and notes.
Also, Kyle Lowry was an Allstar for the Raptors in 2019. You said Kawhi was the lone Allstar.
Jimmy Butler seems to have really changed the game, you don't even notice the players drafted before him. He's just that big of a deal that he gets drafted.
How did he changed the game?
maybe YOU don't notice kawhi leonard, but i do. jimmy and kawhi have some similarities in their games. and although kawhi is way too injury prone, when he plays he is my #1. kawhi, kyrie, jimmy, and klay make a helluva draft just by themselves.
Did jimmy add new rules to basketball? What is it that he did that changed the game of basketball? It’s still the same sport.

No
Incredible journey and resilience of Jimmy Butler, one of the true gems from the 2011 NBA Draft. It's amazing to see how he turned a seemingly weaker draft class into a memorable one with his determination and work ethic.
Right!
i ss
Same thing with the 2014 draft and Jokic. Going to be a great Finals!
This was a surprisingly deep draft. Jimmy's journey is definitely an inspirational one and its good to see him get his flowers. The rest of this draft had a great mix of perennial all stars and really great role players, tbh most of these teams did not miss. You've done a great job recapping this for us. Definitely earned a subscriber here.
Thank you!
Dare I say this is an Underrated Draft Class ?
Very underrated
The 2011 draft is probably the most underrated draft of all time you had Kawhi Leonard Kyrie, Irving and , Klay Thompson and
Mind you this is the only draft, and that decade that three players won a championship from that draft
Not only that the household named role players were deep this draft
great points!
@@vonscooby yupp also that
It’s incredible that this man is so good yet so overlooked at the same time
Exactly!
You must be talking about Nicola Jokic the real 3 time MVP.
Jimmy Butler is an incredible player, he really has made his mark clear in the NBA. So proud of what he was able to achieve this season. The 2011 NBA draft was truly crazy dry, However most rafts are capable of producing a legend. Great video loved seeing some of these older moments in the NBA. thanks FOR SHARING!
thanks!
Jimmy Butler is an incredible player, he really has made his mark clear in the NBA.
agreed!
Always loved the passion and toughness of Jimmy Butler, really awesome that he's now a player that everyone can see is a beast.
Good video, thanks! Couple of notes from the Euroleague: both Vasley and Mirotic have become Euroleague hall of famers:
* Mirotic is playing for Barcelona, not Real Madrid. He was the Euroleague MVP in 2022.
* Jan Vasley is currently teammate with Mirotic in Barcelona. He also had a fantastic career in Europe, winning Euroleague MVP in 2019 and the Euroleague title in 2017 with the Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe.
Ahhhh so thats where Jan went!
For a first vid, I've never seen such a beautifully executed video! Give your researcher a raise!
That’s exactly what I was gonna say. Hell of a debut video.
First vid? A lot of raw talent. Looking forward to seeing more.
He proved that success is not solely determined by where you are drafted but by the effort you put in
This is an outstanding debut video for a channel. Well done, excited to see what else you put out.
Thank you for doing a video like this that doesn’t just take massive dumps on everyone.
Great video. Thanks for putting it together!
Would not be able to tell it was your first vid, very well made video could tell all the research and effort you put into it great job!
Keep up the good work man
Love y’all work
It feels like, in one way or another, nearly every pick brought some value and wasn't much of a 'bust' until Chris Singleton at 18, and then the picks with value picked right back up after him. This draft class was loaded with recognizable names at talent at all different levels.
Nah Ftedette was a bust

Well put together video 🙌🏾
Definitely enjoyed the video & may you please continue to make more content 🙌🏽
Great video. Keep up the good work
Holy cow. I made it thru the entire video thinking how have I not seen this channel before this was really put together. Only a few hundred subscribers… keep the videos like this coming and your gonna be big in no time bro. 🐐
This draft was deeper than I remembered. Plenty of talent that’s lasted at least 5-7 years.
For Real!

Went to your page after this video to check out some others and found out to see this was your first one. This is the content of an established UA-camr and I applaud you for the quality of this. Keep it up, I subbed immediately
I am not really a basketball fan. However, due to my granddaughter's extreme interest in basketball, I have been watching some of the games with her. Thanks for sharing the information about the various players. Jimmy Butler does appear to be an excellent player.
This is actually just a great well put together video
great video for your first one! keep up the work
Excellent debut video! Also I’m a heat fan so Go Heat💪🏽🔥

U deserve way more subs man! Keep it up!
Certainly it is interesting to know these details and what happened to these players they looked very promising. I hope they can get their shot at some point because there were very good players on this group.
This draft was more deep than i remembered
You deserve so much more then 184 subs, great video man!
thanks!
great job bro
Thank you!
keep doing these type vids bro 🔥
bettttt
Hey bro! This was such a sick vid, especially from someone who isn’t an avid ball watcher! I feel like I learnt heaps about a draft that I had never heard about really. I just want to let you know whenever you transition back from the draft pick clips you have a small audio carry over from your previous draft pick. Nothing huge, just some feedback homie! Thanks for making this vid ✌🏽
precaite it!
Very cool video about the players drafted before Butler. A few were huge successes like Kyrie. Some pretty much flopped. Drafts have become more interesting in all sports and the NBA draft is particularly intriguing!
I went to school with Kenneth Faried. I was hoping you would mention his college days. He went to an extremely small college in a country eastern Ky town. We used to go to some of the same parties. He was a cool dude. Was sad to see his career cut short. Dudes a beast. Fun fact he knocked up a local girl 😂
thats amazing! He seems like a chill guy in general. This was my first video so I didn't think to include his college days but its something i do now because it is an important part to the players journey
There is a little Kenneth Faried JR out there??????
bro this was such a great video you deserve way more subscribers
Thanks chief!
As this is your first video i can only say to you keep it up.
Great start for your youtube adventure and best of luck.
thanks bro!
2011 draft was crazy ! Kyrie, kawhi, walker, butler ....
i actually met enes kanter the other da and played baskeball with him and against him at my school. He is such a cool and chill guy tbh
Dare I say this is an Underrated Draft Class
Nice episode...
I don't know if you or anyone else has done it, but I'd love to see a video series on how well each team drafted since the turn of the millennium. For example, Butler's one of the Bulls' picks, and they had some great ones, but the team couldn't ever advance too far into the playoffs.
Also, congrats on having a breakout video!
Interesting idea!
Considering the average NBA players career is 4 years this was a really good draft with a bunch of future champions
Nice vídeo!
thanks!
You Make Good Vids Keep Up The Good work! 👍
Thank you!
I thought you were a UA-camr with thousands of subscribers your editing is amazing keep it up bro
What a great path that Jimmy Butler took !!
Aye bro didn’t realize this was your first video, keep up the good work this was very well made
thanks chief!
I'm a Heat fan, so this found its way into my algorithm. I thought D Williams was gonna be huge. Absolutely forgot most of these names. Great work, dude. SUBBED.
Thanks Chief!
same situation here. Watching game 7 post game interviews and this popped up. I remember when he was in Chicago and Heat were struggling against the Bulls. All of a sudden Jimmy showed up and it got even scarier. Now he's my overall Heat player of all time. Its great to see a hard working guy that is so hated by the league and press to keep finding ways to win. Before he was in Miami he was a problem everywhere he went. Even when he came to Miami. He is a bad teammate, he will ruin the locker room, he will get Tyler Hero in trouble and be a bad influence blah blah blah.
Hell of a good first video
Easy sub
thank you!
Nice video bruv
Appreciate it
Please make more of these
0:46 ?? 2011 draft being weak?
Kawhi, Kemba, Kyrie, Jimmy, Jonas, Klay, Tobias, Brandon Knight, Tristian Thompson nah bruh what you mean
Also more to mention but this draft is hella strong
I DID NOT REALIZE HOW MUCH OF A BUST TRISTIAN THOMSON WAS 😂😂😂
He was a decent role player on a championship team though. Not really a "bust"
Jimmy Butler is actually my favorite player so thank you for making this video lol new subscriber
welcome!
Kenneth Faried once went off,& was the best player on a USA world championship team-when Kyrie had 1 of the best gold medal games ever. And we thought Reggie Jackson would be a big pickup for Denver-back home where he went to HS...but hes not part of the playoff rotation. Hopefully get his 1st ring though very soon.
Yeah, there really is something to be said about great, yet underrated players. Should have happened a lot sooner, in my opinion. A lot went on for some of these other players. Wow!
That one shumpert highlight where he blocked klays shot in the hoop😂
You earned a sub because of this edit. Jimmy Bear is the MVP ❤❤❤
I've always liked watching Jimmy even when he was on the bulls as 80 overall in 2k haha. And APPRECIATE that sub!
If Jimmy was drafted in the top 15 he never would've become the player he is today. The fact no one really believed in him is what made him work harder than anyone else.
We've seen this with quite a few other guys who were drafted late. Isaiah Thomas for example was the 60th pick and went on to become an All Star and an absolute beast on that Celtics team.
exactly. spite is a very powerful motivator
Drafts have become more interesting in all sports and the NBA draft is particularly intriguing!
Awsome 👍
new subscriber make a nba mockdraft pick 1-30 2023, nba comparisson and what team suits them
“I got rid of my rear view mirror cause you never look back”- Jimmy Buckets
While OKC trading Reggie away seemed questionable, he was beefing with Russ cuz he wanted to start. So it made more sense from inside the building
One of the brightest stars in the NBA. Didn't know he was with Cleveland though.
Jimmy Butler is impossible not to root for.
especially with everything he has gone through
Jesus this draft was DEEP
I remember Jimmy as a rookie here in Chicago. He was behind Dang at the time. He was not that good and got little playing time but he work his butt off over the summer and learned a lot from Dang whom work with him along with tips during the summer with Jordan. My point is this isn't someone that was a gem. This is someone whom work very hard at his craft and got better and better over the years. He wanted to win here but was traded after the issues with number 1 Rose. The Bulls went for a new start up group. He did not want to play for Tibs (Coach In Chicago) that blow out Rose. Tibs is known for playing you all 35 minutes for 82 games. His nick name Buckets come from Stacy King another former Chicago (Jordan) player who would announce games here in Chicago. In Chicago Jimmy was known as a hard working Player with excellent defending skills & lots of Buckets around the rim.
thibs and d rose were both gone by the time jimmy left.. we had hoiberg at the time
It’s Deng
2k13 that Knicks team was nasty with JR and Shumpert who dunked on literally everything
JR and Crawford were always the 2k cheat codes to trade for
he really has made his mark clear in the NBA. Jimmy Butler is great.
jsut subbed 307th sub
preciate that big homie!
jimmy butler is by no means a super star, possibly least clutch starter in the league.
Kawhi is also a two time 3-peat stopper😭😭
Bruh those Derrick Williams highlights was dead ass Tyreke Evans 😭😭☠️
