Rick i can tell you where the allocation is going that you are not getting, to all the clown show dealers who have no business selling this car(sell one a year). These dealerships are infuriating.
You mean gm's way of spanking dealerships for charging over M SRP .....
Hey RIck, great stuff, love Tech Tuesday!!! Maybe you didn't get more allocation in 23 because the smaller dealers finally got some allocations. It's been very sparce in my local area for Z06 allocations. Not the ratio mix you big guys got. Spread the love.

I have a Borla Atak exhaust, Kooks headers and an HP tune. My “tuner” used his laptop to stop my check engine light and strange sounds by tweaking the tune. Now, my 2020 HTC stays in 8 cylinders always and I’ve had no issues w/ the exhaust. Sounds glorious!🎶
In process of purchasing 2022 CPO c8, with 7700 miles. dealer said 7500 mile transmission service hasn't been done. They also said 7500 transmission service was optional and would not impact the warranty or CPO warranty if something goes wrong. They also said the service was $1600 if I wanted to do it. I am knee deep in this transaction already wired deposit and bank has sent draft. Will Chevy cover car if I don't do 7500 transmission service?

Regarding allocations: My guess is the allocations are going to Ciocca and Macmulkin. They seem to order a lot of C8 no matter what the constraints are at the time and they put the vehicle into stock for sale. Very few Z51 are ordered, many are LT1 trim level, and most of their inbound orders are available.

great show. We were talking in the forums about how it seems the Big dealers are getting jack for allocations. 3 years waiting at a top 5 dealer list and it seems they only got a couple of E-ray allocations. Doesn't GM know Im dying here. lol

On a NEW Corvette Purchase, Isn’t it better ( as a consumer) to purchase the extended warranty RIGHT BEFORE the initial 3 year warranty is about to expire??
Great show! Related to the warranty, I have a non-z51 C8 and my friend is selling his z51 brakes. Will that void my warranty if I retrofit the z51 brakes to my c8? I heard it's gonna bolt-on directly. Thank you!

It's not aesthetical at all, saw it at the bash pre release. Looks like a inspection window on machinery. The window material is polycarbonate and that's what it does,clouds and cracks. All of that situation is sad for the price. We make the only one that will not, redesigned smoother, made to order,optional oil flap, engraved and translucent colors in 1/4" thick!

Question why did GM decide to change the hinges on the front hood, don't all sports cars have the reverse front hood because of safety, because the hood would fly up and impede your vision? Especially on a car that does over 200 miles an hour?
Hey Rick, you might be better off going to school for steam engines since they will no doubt build more of them than they will build E rays!
Don’t forget you need the bolts for the engine cover. Mine didn’t come with them when I ordered a new engine cover!!

Doesn’t seem likely that my Brembo pads on my 2019 ZO6 are the same as any other Chevrolet, as stated by the gentleman earlier.
He was referring to brake fluid, not pads.
I think it might be time to buy clear engine cover for my HTC.

Maybe a dumb question: Once GM takes your order (I think its called 3000 status) its no longer possible to add stuff to your car, correct? I was thinking to add the performance exhaust and the GT seats, but my salesman said its was not possible anymore. any thoughts?

great info as always.... shocked that a dealer refused an extended warranty sale. I got the Ally 10 year extended on my 2023. i think the extra bucks for a car as technical as the C8 its a must have if you actually drive your corvette. I didnt buy mine for the next guy, i bought for me to enjoy.
Still want to write that technical Tips book with you guys! All this fluid changes becoming complicated

Since my Eray just hit status 4000 and it was on constraint when zI ordered.
