I have one of the 12 inch long models of this locomotive made by a DHR employee in Darjeeling. He was hoping to make it live steam but he contacted me to say he was having difficulties sourcing components and there would be a long delay for the live steam version, so I opted for the static, albeit beautifully made model. Unfortunately it got a bit damaged in transit with its case being smashed but I managed to straighten out the few bent bits. PS looking again at mine this morning it is an A Class not a saddle tank B.
We have 3 more Fowler videos almost ready to publish,……. But each is awaiting the final parts of its subject matter completing so they tell a coherent story. Hopefully very soon for the coupling rod/connecting rod film which will be next! 🙂
I’m afraid we are flat out busy with preparing models for customers in the workshop, so we rarely get time to get ahead of the game, preparing & steaming locos before they have sold. But everything is made to work fully and well before it leaves our workshop, and at that point we’d happily be able to film the loco running and working fully before delivery. Apologies for being a bit too busy to get the Jessie running and filmed before it has a customer on it…… but hope that makes sense.

Doug's old A Class Driving truck getting good use
Heck of a transformation. Even with the inside frames, lovely job.
Ey up lads, that’s the one thing I DON’T miss about home… the weather 😀👍
Best regards from NJ USA.
It was an Indian monsoon to assist with the first outing
looking forward to more Fowler reconstruction …. More more more

I'd LOVE to have this !!
Rides surprisingly well given the short wheelbase.
Proportionally comparable to a real B Class so we were pretty confident it would work! 😁
@@TheSteamWorkshop The projects you produce are fantastic👍
Absolutely fantastic!
Beautiful. I have a blue one. From Roundhouse.
Nice. Every video has more track covering the parking lot. :)
Need to build one with an umbrella ☔️ 👍🏴
The riding truck has an umbrella holder.... just need to source a fitting victorian parasol to fit
Wow... nice...
First time i see a reverse lever from a brazil style... in a darjeeling....
Nice! Question?? How's the Sugar cane Fowler rebuild going???? Haven't seen much on it for a while.
Dedication.
How do I get one? (I’m going to work with dad for the summer and I plan on operating a railroad in the garden)
Is it based off an Indian narrow gauge locomotive? It kinda looks like that Indian locomotive that’s currently at the Fairbourne Railway in Wales
That’s the one. Darjeeling Himalayan Railway B Class. 🙂
@@TheSteamWorkshop thanks!
Wow
What kind of valve motion does that machine have? I don't recognize it.
It has Hackworth valve gear, as it is actually a heavily re-built & modified Romulus, which is a 7 1/4” design that uses that motion. 🙂
curious why it has Hackworth instead of Walshearts?
It has been made from an old romulus locomotive
Could you make a video of the little 0-4-0 (stock code L071141) running? That would be appreciated.

@@TheSteamWorkshop that's okay, I know how it is to work on a lot of things at the same time
Soaked to the arse but happy. 😉
