I use the #7 size original minnow and shad rap.These lures produce lots of fish from top water down to about 8ft.If youre not catching fish on the original or shad rap try a jerk pause jerk retreive and you will.Good luck
I have yet to have some good luck in South Carolina with Rapala lures (still working at it) but have had some solid largemouth action with simple Nightcrawlers (live bait) along the bottom

@Geordi1996Hunt Newer hard body jerkbaits are my go-to lure. You should give them a try again, I have caught fish across the world on Lucky Crafts, Daiwas, and X-raps.
yup and make sure your useing a uhhh cnat remebr the name but its like a foot long peaice of mettal woved cable you put on the end of your line cause the gar WILL bite your line and break it

i have no doubt that this is a great lure but this is one of the only rapalas that i own that i have not caught fish i on, and i own hundreds of rapalas just cant beat the shad rap or husky jerk
best crank bait ever! first day I used this lure it was 5 casts, 5 bass but they went up on the price first it was 7 or 8 dollars now it's 11 dollars which is ridiculous so I'm sticking with rapala shad raps their just as good maybe even better then the minnow rap!
@jgmtiger Thats one hufe catfish. When I lived in Dallas I seen those big gars in the trinity river but never got one over 3 feet. 5 hour fishfight! Awesome.!!

well what pound test line do u have because if 10 pound or heaver it wont cast as far it also can be helpful to have a 9 feet rod to. but u can add weight to the bottom of the bait

This lure is amazing rapala has to be the most iconic fishing company out their.
I love fishing. Mostly from a pier because of me being in a wheelchair most of the time. Love these lures!
The Minnow rap is definitely one you might wanna go out and get
I have a wall full of them, their jointed lure has hooked more Bass than any other lure for me! Rapala is King!

Its called the perfection loop. It allows the lure to move more freely and attract the fisha little better.

I have a bait just like one of those and I caught the biggest bass I have ever caught, 6 lb., on it in my lake! It really works!
Jim lindner is so good that he caught that little perch on the minnow rap.
