    C. Superman.
    D. All the above.

I bought AFR heads and a AFR manifold plus a few small parts from Weingartner and my experience was totally positive, when you are on the phone you can tell he is a busy man but he answered my questions completely and even told me when spending more money was not really a benefit for what I was trying to accomplish. I would buy from him again without hesitation. Main reason I contacted him to start with was that I wanted to talk to someone that knew what they were talking about and he definitely knows his stuff. Thanks Eric

Just keep being you man. It's tough keeping a small business going. Most people never consider that it's wrong to ask 'free' advice from someone that's spent their life acquiring the knowledge and skills they are trying to milk from you for free. I repair GM instrument clusters and similar LED swaps for a living which isn't near the level of stakes and complexity in your profession, but I can relate to the average person being terrible to work with. I also get the window shopper types who just waste your time. I've come to the realization that my service is far better than my competitors because I have to redo their work quite often and nobody else warranties their work at least in my state. So I've just taken the mentality that nobody is serious until they prove otherwise which does suck for the good customers but life is far too short to waste it on non serious people.
Thank you for the cylinder head content on youtube. I'm just messing around with stuff for fun on the premise if I destroy these cylinder heads I'm only out 60 bucks. But I still want to do the best I can do, or at the very least learn and get better. Having information out there is really helpful for that. Your video on cam lift was very helpful too

I think it's insulting when people buy from someone else, then use you for tech support. It implies your time and expertise aren't worth anything. Until people get to see monthly statements in a small business, they really don't have a handle on how expensive the "convenience" of plastic is. Yes, it does add up to something between 2.5% and 4%, depending on the bank handling the merchant account and the card issuers terms. For each 100k/year a business may gross, ballpark is going to be over $200/month lost on average - that's phone plus fuel for a lot of folks. The interest [awaiting repayment] lands on the card holder so these costs are a ONE DAY/ per instance item. Annuitize 2.5% for 365 days... and we see why the biggest/baddest skyscrapers in any city belong to banks. And there is no way to not factor this cost of money into goods sold - plastic has driven up cost of living, and its silent. I do believe that in terms of cost of goods, putting a postage stamp on an envelope and mailing a check for items over $50 is cheaper to the overall economy, if everybody did it to drive merchant costs down.

Steve Morris made a similar video 4-5 years ago, and it is equally understandable. People need to understand that time is not free. If you want to save that extra dollar, fine. But then you’re on your own. I’ve seen some shops charge a service fee for tech support from non-customers, but that’s kind of hard to calculate.

Seems like it happened in the early 90's but he would get so mad spending all kinds of time working on coming up with a good combination for a customer and then they order cheaper but similar parts from mail order company XYZ. A. They would come back to him wondering why it's not fast. Or B. They can't figure it out so they come back for help tuning. You got me thinking. On Cylinders 7 and 8. They tend to run a little leaner. Have to assume they make a little less power. We may be able to port them out a little more to balance the power. What do you think of just having a little more compression to balance the power out on a N/A motor?. Been watching your UA-cam video and learned alot from you. As you said, I don't see others that I know of backing up their work as you do. I have a long term project that I'm working on. I will definitely get heads and intake next year.

If two cylinders are running a little leaner, they might be making MORE power. Also, porting those intake runners might make those cylinders even more lean. If you're using EFI, you could put injectors that flow a little more than the rest in those 2 cylinders.

And that takes A lot of time.. When I say time I mean years. Time is money. If you don't have experience In a certain area .and You don't have years to learn it.. You pay the person that does .That's time and money well spent.. As far as the guy With the intake Common sense would tell you That the air is going to hit a wall.. It's called sheer..if The port was a little bit bigger .than The intake opening I believe that would be more acceptable..

On the Promax heads for the test could you increase the head gasket thickness to get the compression where you want it? I know it would affect the quench but it’s an option to help out those small combustion chambers. My old friend that worked with Eddie Hill in Drag boats use to even play around with rod lengths and compression heights to get the compression ratios where he wanted…. I’m not recommending that but head gaskets are a pretty easy option.

Yeah i noticed the difference between calling and the videos lol. Those chambers on the ls just by looking at them they looked kinda small. But hard to tell and i am glad you test stuff what i want test to help both of us. Since i know you have the 2925 manifold to port what i want to test since you said the bmp manifold after you port does the best on a 2 barrel well it was kinda a good thing my dad said buy this used manifold so same money. Well now i want to do later on once i run the manifold i go in the car then run your ported 2925 then after that i want to try your ported bmp on the track to see if i feel the difference and if it is faster i would like another bmp for the protoplines heads for the 2nd 350 for the wingless spec sprint so i know a lot of money and work but it was a thought i had for a while. Just trying to get money is the hardest part

I find you to be a typical businessman. There are things customers do without thinking. I get it. My archery dealer is a great guy. Very talented but very straight forward. He just tells you something is messed up. He sounds rude but it’s not personal.

screw nice, i value honesty, and integrity far above nice. most people who seem nice, its nothing but fake, and they will bend you over without batting an eye. its nice to provide info/tech to your customers, but to people who never spent a penny with you, no.

    Ok, here's my 2 cents.
It makes no sense to spend a good fortune on a pair of heads and then pay another fortune to have done all over again! Why don't AFR do it ? CNC supposed to make everything identical, ports, combustion chambers etc. It's crazy that why people complain. And after market heads should be sold no springs, no valves. Cam companies want you to use their components for their cams. Valve lengths too. All the parts that come with the heads get wasted.
They should make the heads in different stages so customers don't feel like they got screwed. The customer DOESN'T know the details and should be advised by the dealer he bought them from. Not another dealer. You are right!

People that buy ready to run heads are not serious about making power anyway.
They should just put them on and shut up.

Owned a business for years where folks would buy stuff $10 cheaper online, then come to me to show them how to use or set it up... Nope, no free tech support on items I didn't sell you. 1st time I am nice hoping the customer sees the value in buying from me. But the second, you are not a customer, you are a thief, stealing my time and the cost of running my business. I would never send an email to a vendor unless i bought products from them, or was considering a purchase.

Everyone thinks they're entitled to "free" stuff these days; Like sign contracts to get student loans and then whine about having to pay it back. Anyone who does business with you is already profiting from your experience.

@@lollipop84858 That's exactly what it's about. You're punishing people who did things the responsible way. We skipped on vacations, purchases, etc. Making sacrifices to get our kids through school. Made them work while going to school also. Little did I know I could have just been an irresponsible freeloader and got it for free!

I thought you were a pretty nice guy when I got my heads from you, but I didn’t bug the crap out of you, lol. You told me a time frame that was not in your control and they came in within days of that time frame. That is the reason I bought from you though, I case I run into problems, I’m not facing the head manufacturer on my own, that could say I installed them wrong or some lame excuses like that.

I'm about 5:30 in and had to stop to comment on a business versus a hobby. There is no way you can compare the two. If I copied your port work and sold it at half price, I'd still make more money than you. As far as time, I lose my ass doing small heads cheaply on one cylinder blind heads like 60mm and under two strokes. Car heads would take me far longer than you for sure. Your time on heads is worth triple compared to mine, maybe more.
