Gun Dog was a short lived Japanese nu metal band that formed in 2000. After releasing only one EP, "Humanity", and one single, "Chair", Gun Dog ended up disbanding in 2005. Later on that year, in 2005, after the disbandment of vocalist K's previous band, Gun Dog, he recruited four members and formed Pay money To my Pain. On January 10, 2013, Pay Money to My Pain announced that K had died on December 30, 2012 at age 31 due to acute heart failure at his home in Yokohama. Guitar & G Synth: MZK 7 string Guitar: (Toshitaka) 5 string Bass: ATSUSHI Drums & Chorus: YUSUKE Vocals: K
such an underrated band i found through a tiktok mutual. i love the songs i’ve heard from them so far & im just so amazed. the sound & aura their songs have is just... wow. i love it
When I'm looking at you I am thinking about you All my time I can not seem to find myself I can't tell you about my pain You never know I can't seem to find Where are you inside my heart? When you're looking at me Are you thinking about me Everyday? I am just good for nothing But I don't sit down on a chair You have to know I can't seem to find Where are you inside my heart? (Let me know) You're my everything to me If you've lost your mind Everytime I'll say "You can" (Let me know) I wonder if I could say When I'm looking at you Can I tell you about myself When I want you When I need you Can I feel you Can I tell you (This chair you've made is not for me) I don't wanna sit on a chair I don't wanna sit down like you (Let me know) You're my everything to me If you've lost your mind Everytime I'll say "You can" (Let me know) I wonder if I could say I'm just good for nothing But I don't sit down on a chair
3:35 this part really means a lot this was the last song they ever made so them kicking the rock star chair is like saying "hey we were a good band yet you ignored us so were not doing this any more" truly the top 5 best of nu metal
I remember listening to this for the first time while showering... before going out on a first date.......we dated for a year. Fuck the date the song is what I remember lol
Cool band. I recently started hearing their first album on spotify and I would recommend a newer band called Petit Brabancon. Features members of Dir En Grey and Mucc they have nu metal influences in their music.
@loud0sho "This chair you've made is not for me" In the end, they kill the president who was chosen and then can be noted that begins all over again, like a vicious circle. It's funny the scene that the second in command (executive) stand on her knees to deliver the chair to the rockstar band, implying that even she is a piece of shit close to the band members. Looking at the lyrics, the vocalist seems to declare his love to a woman, but she doesn't care. Maybe the clip is a metaphor (continue)
@loud0sho Speaking literally, the video talks about power and greed. The chairs, as is well cited, are representing each individual. The most important is the president, it may be a subjective term to both government and Japanese society, since both are divided by a strongly hierarchy. You can see that they kill each other for the most important position and they did so with the last President at the beginning of the clip. Like a kind of natural selection or survival of the fittest, (continue)
@loud0sho for that. Briefly, they may be asking for those who watch: you'll want to be just a chair with a name or who you really are? Depending on how you see the video, it can work as a great critique for society especially theirs, since the people in Japanese society are depressed as hell. The young Japanese go beyond this very well in music and in the way they dress with their colored clothes and hair and all that stuff. Sorry for my English.
do not compare this good band with shit like linkin park, and well, the band disolved only one year afeter its creation, after that the vocalist created Pay money to my pain, and died in 2012
T$uyo$hi(bassist) and Zax(drummer) are now part of The Bonez, you can check it on youtube :) Pablo is doing solo projects iirc, saw him on a Hatsune Miku live, so I guess he's part of the live crew? that's all I know.

When I'm looking at you
I am thinking about you
All my time
I can not seem to find myself
I can't tell you about my pain
You never know
I can't seem to find
Where are you inside my heart?
When you're looking at me
Are you thinking about me
Everyday?

But I don't sit down on a chair
You have to know
I can't seem to find
Where are you inside my heart?

I wonder if I could say
When I'm looking at you
Can I tell you about myself
When I want you
When I need you
Can I feel you
Can I tell you
(This chair you've made is not for me)
I don't wanna sit on a chair
I don't wanna sit down like you
(Let me know)
You're my everything to me
If you've lost your mind
Everytime I'll say "You can"
(Let me know)
I wonder if I could say
I'm just good for nothing
But I don't sit down on a chair
10 years without, K.

Kはたしかに別格
wish this band still kept playing, their music sick as fuck
Fucking awesome band. Rest in peace K.
3:35 this part really means a lot this was the last song they ever made so them kicking the rock star chair is like saying "hey we were a good band yet you ignored us so were not doing this any more"
truly the top 5 best of nu metal
やっぱりKは魅力的なボーカルだな
楽器隊も重厚な音出してるけど
それに埋もれないのはやっぱりすごい
This K was so young
2023 out there still jamming this loud AF!?!?
