Thanks for the clear install details! I have a 2015 Mazda 3, but most of what you showed applies to my year and model as well. Great job!
Well done mate - guess thats next on my list of to do things. (2018 Mazda3)
Thank you very much. Extremely helpful. 🙏
What happens to the SD navigator card that comes with the mazda?
Does it become irrelevant and we have free over the air service with google navigation?
I just left mine installed. Doesn't hurt anything. I don't plan on ever using it again though now that I have Google maps on there
Thank you for posting. Makes me want to do this myself as I thought more of the interiour was going to have to come out. But where did you get the firmware? Thanks
Added a link in the description to the forum post.
Did you disconnect the battery?
Yes
This is so great, thanks a bunch
hi everyone, can someone tell if there is a connector/cable for cd player, which as I can't see on video? If I want to install cd player, do I have to buy only cd laser and panel trim, or maybe some cable connector too? thanx for reply
I have a question. I'm installing my usb aux hub by the arm rest (same as you). However, I don't have the white wider large conector which I guess is the power. Is there something I can do?
Question, I have a 18' CX-5 Touring with the Preferred Package. Now I'm gonna be wrapping my silver trims on the door panels and on the dash to glossy carbon fiber. Can I just pop it out or do I have to pull everything off like this video?
Hell yeah dude!!!! I want to do this to mine, have an ‘18 CX-5 GT. Thanks for the video man, you’re awesome. I just have to buy it first and i’ll do the installation myself
Thanks again !
Thanks!
Hi where to buy this oryginal android auto set to mazda ?
Can you share an updated link to that forum post? It seems to be a bad link now.
Thanks your video, i want to know where buy all the accessories. I’m in Vietnam. Thanks again!!!
is it working for mazda 6 2017 ? i want apple car play could you give a link to download it please . thanks again
This was incredibly helpful -- thank you!
thx for the video! i did the retrofit and now there's a 0.1inch gap between the back of the screen and the dashboard. tried refitting the CMU, rearranging the cables at the back many times but still could not get rid of it. thing is the CMU bracket is already touching the screw thread bracket attached to the car body. cannot imagine how the cmu can go in any further to close the gap. did u face a similar issue? thx
I actually do have the slightest gap behind the screen and I tried to push it in further with no luck. I don't ever see it so it doesn't bother me anymore.
Just got mine up and running. Great tutorials!
I don't understand why you don't just remove the old cable. It doesn't appear to be used.
Backwards compatibility. Why remove it when it's not doing any harm?
Perfect video 👌👌👌
Do you have to remove the negative post on the battery before doing this?
I didn't. You're just unplugging connectors. There's no exposed conductor not are you cutting any existing cables. Just my opinion.
