You made it look easy!
Cool
Any tips of android auto stops working after a battery change or severe cold weather. Sometimes wheb i plug it in it says use another usb port sometimes it does nothing at all.
Why did I find this video AFTER I did it all?😂
How about for a 2019 cx 5?
Hi may i ask can help me instal?
If I just need to replace my screen can I do that or do I need to replace the CarPlay system in the middle console aswell ?
You can just replace the screen only provided you are able to get the correct one for you headunit. I actually have done it myself on my unit and it not that hard. Just need to be slow and careful.
How did you get spotify on your unit ?
Spotify installed on my phone. Go to the android auto settings on the phone to enable (or disable) the app that you want to show on Android Auto.
I have that modification done to my 2019CX-5, however, it's not wireless, and I still have to wire-connect the phone.
If you need wireless, you can purchase a device that allows wireless AA/Carplay. It's not that expensive too.
Amazon has deals right now for wireless android auto and carplay. That's where I got mine
Good but not easy for regular person
I have followed your instructions and installed the same kit but carplay is verry laggy. What do you think what the reason could be?
It could be your firmware version issue or your phone is not too slow. What phone are you using?
Firmware is quite up to date:
70.00.367 EU N
Phone is iPhone 13 pro
Once it worked fluently but most of the time it’s lagging hard
And android auto doesn’t work at all. It seems like the usb connector doesn’t recognise the phone. Tried with several high qualitaty cables without success.
I read in some amazon reviews that people have the same issue with the usb socket
@@Ayrix06 That's strange. I only use Android Auto and even my mid range phone works fine. The USB hub you bought might be defective. Have you tried plugging your phone on another mazda? If it works fine means it's your usb device problem.
Try using a better cable , look for quality high data transfer cable
Where could I download the newest firmware? I have a 2018 Cx5
Don't take the chances of upgrading the firmware yourself. Bring it to a dealership and get them to upgrade for free. In my case, bring the car for normal oil change and ask them to upgrade firmware.
Where is the product link?
For international market, you can go to aliexpress and search for "mazda usb retrofit kit"
Hi,
I have 2015 Mazda 3 BM
OS verison 74.00.324
I want wireless AA & Carplay. Will this product work for me?
Thanks
Better you confirm it with Mazda in your country. Just tell them you want to install AA & Carplay for your Mazda 3. They will ask you the information needed from your specs so that they can tell you whether it can be installed or not. If they say your firmware is compatible then most likely the device will work.
cx 5 GL can use?
If you have the same headunit and same usb hub then it should be can.
Mine is too laggy and its crashing , any solution?
Try updating the Mazda infotainment firmware in service center. Also, what phone you are using? And is the cable good quality?
Yeah look super easy to do by yourself 😂😂😂
