I’ve ordered so many foundations from Sephora and I have such a hard time work these shades from like Too faced, urban decay, Estée Lauder, they aren’t looking natural or matching my pale skin and undertone. So I am so intrigued by the commercials for IL makiage because of the thinner texture and how they color match you.

Ordered it about a month ago. Although the colour worked out surprisingly well for an online questionnaire I hated it first day. But I tried it again, learned less is more, definitely use a brush, and absolutely no primer! I don't need to powder either, so although it's a bit pricier than many foundations, this saves on 2 other products, plus valuable time. It plays really nicely on my more mature skin over a thin application of rosehip seed oil which is a bonus. The only thing that was totally out of order for me was the massive amount of excess packaging. Would be so much better if they lost that and charged less 😏
Had a similar experience. And they too gave me a free bottle. They also let me keep the original. Even though it's way to light maybe I can give it to someone who needs it or find a way to use it but add bronzer, which I hate using. But I thought it was great customer service to give me two free bottles of great foundation. Say what you want about the colors but the formula is on point! Can't wait to get the right bottle of foundation .
I did the IL Makiage quiz and got my foundation. Tried it and loved the end result. The initial application was shaky and I wasn't so sure but after the 5 minute wait time for the foundation to "melt" into my skin, it really looked better! I did find that using Wet and Wild 3 in one Rose water face primer seemed to work fine with the IL Makiage foundation. I did my own video on applying it because it was my first time applying any foundation. 😉 I've used it since making the video and I will agree it does take a bit of trial and error to figure out how to apply. I will be buying a beauty blender to see if it works better than the brush IL Makiage sent with the foundation as a "gift".
@@AmandaBellaa kathleenlights loves it too! We all know how picky she is too. Really nice medium buildable to full coverage I dont need to set it too much at all but I do use eye cream first as well. I do with every concealer. You will be happy with it and should do a third and fourth video! 3rd trying the concealer for 4 days, see if you keep it and then pair it with the matching foundation! Boom 2 more video ideas

Interesting video! I am curious what type of moisturizer is best for under the Il Makiage foundation. I am 68 and luckily have never had any skin issues. But I do need to get some kind of moisturizer before proceeding to try the makeup

I also tried it, after party full coverage in 030, omg I had to use an oil to blend it with. It would not blend at all, no matter what u used, finally after mixing olive oil w/ it , it blended smooth & well but hours later it created & caked. Hate it

There should have been return instructions in the package as well as a label! If not, check the order confirmation email. I had no problems with returning!

It took some experimenting to get it to work well with my skin, but I always liked the product! To be honest, I originally ordered it to see what the hype was about and ultimately felt like the shade would only work for part of the year & I couldn't justify paying so much for it when I had plenty of other foundations, so I decided to return it. When I was sent a credit I decided to reorder! I do still use & love it. :)

Aw! We all have different experiences. I really enjoyed it, and have never really found a single product works perfect on its own! The closest is probably the Clinique even better foundation - but with that I still find that I need concealer/bronzer/etc. the struggle can be real! I hope you find something that works great for you!!🤞🏼

I’m upset at the costumer service for me they won’t reply nor do they have a direct line to talk to someone. I’m trying to cancel my order I just made literally. I’ve heard the return label is bullshit and can’t even be used. Payed 5$ to ship it to me but 70$ pending on my debit card 😢

I printed the label right from their website and then returned it with zero issues. They also replied back to me twice within a couple days of my emails. They also sent me 4 coupons total and I got a bunch of free stuff. They’ve been awesome!

I initially ordered this foundation on my own to see what the hype was about. I was never contacted about my initial video or asked to film a second one, I never spoke with anyone from IL Makiage (still haven't) and after returning the product, I received a store credit (that could be used for ANYTHING) in what seemed to be a very generic e-mail with no obligation to spend it (I have heard from a handful of others who said they received a credit after returning as well)! I purchase plenty of foundations on my own, I'm often sent foundations from other brands and I saw no need to spend $$ on this one when I DO have others that I like just as much & can get more use out of year round, combined with primers, etc. With that said, I really DO like this and figured I'd take advantage of the credit to repurchase something I knew I liked instead of something totally random. It's not a bad product, you do need to figure out how to make it work with your skin, but for me - someone who was NOT in the market for new foundation and merely wanted to try it - I saw no need to initially invest. I still have & use this foundation often (just used it yesterday) and stand by my review. Can you wear a sunscreen moisturizer under it? Sunscreen is a must for me.
For sure! I would recommend a moisturizer with a sunscreen. Just skip the primer or any additional products underneath the foundation.

The $70 is only pending for 24 to 48hrs it comes off then they charge you again 14 days after you get it. They just making sure we have 💰
