I love your video on DC. I love myself some DC. I have relatives all over DC & Maryland. I use to visit DC every holidays growing up with my grandma and sister. I went to DC right after graduation and work for awhile I was young got homesick and came back to NC. But I love DC and if I felt like driving I go to DC right now. Love it!
I'm thinking about moving to Washington d.c. I'm from Seattle Washington I was raised in Seattle most all of my life. I was thinking trying to find some habesha Ethiopian girls I don't know nobody there wish me luck 🤞 ✈️🛫.
Hey Ayalew, I am from Seattle too, living in Seattle actually and I am trying to do my research about cities in DC because I want to move there as well! we should connect!
❤❤❤ I love your video. I’m actually looking for corporate housing right now just to start. I want to live in Georgetown. You’ve definitely made that seem like that’s a good spot for me. Lol but overall I’m going to visit all the places you named. Thank you for this video.
Heads up, depending on where you are in Georgetown and Foggy Bottom, it can have a LOT of college students. Both George Washington University and Georgetown University are in the area. If that bothers you, make sure you chose an area away from student housing or even off campus housing. I used to work in Foggy Bottom and every Thursday and Friday on my walk to the metro after work you could sense the buzz of college students, smell the weed, etc. The area is great and you can be away from students IF you do your research.
Honestly, I can't remember which site I found my condo on. I remember contacting the owner and he told me that he didn't even advertise on the site I saw it listed on. We both laughed. He noted that some sites share listings without the poster's permission. I searched Zillow, For Rent, Apartments, did Google searches for "apartments near me" I was looking all over. If I'm being real, I think God secured this place for me because I was DONE searching and was just about to settle. Then this place appeared like an angel. No lie. lol.
Sorry asking out of topic question About your home place BAHAMAS. Although I’m your follower in UA-cam channel. Planning to move Bahamas for living and work. Can you invite for me someone actually live in Nassua who can help me everything in bahamas especially Safety and where to live because the country is high level life, soo expensive Firstly Where to stay and where to eat? Thank you
Adams Morgan doesn't feel too black friendly to me. The people don't make you feel overtly unwelcome. But, it doesn't make me feel exactly welcome either. Dupont is fine. Especially if you're a black person with money.
@@ThisBahamianGyal Oh thank you! What areas would you recommend for black professionals? I'm 29 and living alone. not looking to live the life of clubs and post college grads. I've done that lol
Adams Morgan is good for eatery,,espicialy if you like African food,I wouldnt live there as you said parking is a nightmare..What is up with Navy something place,,I dont remember the other word after Navy someone was negative about that place.
A bit late to commenting, but hey, I made it. I cannot wait to come to DC for you to show me around. Great review. What killed me is the X+ parking rating. Hahhaa. Also, how funny is the name Foggy [soggy] bottom. Hahhaha
I’m looking to relocate to the DMV area from Atlanta. I want to find a nice and affordable apartments to rent. I don’t mind flying out to communicate with anyone you suggest. Thank you in advance
I received an offer to work at the Albi restaurant, which is located in Navy.(I saw some comments saying to be careful around the region) Which nearby region would you recommend? (remembering that I'm leaving work very late) I go alone, so any little room alone is fine for me. It doesn't have to be a region with lots of things to do. I won't even have time to enjoy the city. Free time, I'll probably need to rest hahaha With a bike, it takes 26 minutes to Dupont Circle, 30 minutes to Brookland (is it easy/safe to bike around town?)
Make a goal to buy a bedroom bathroom suite on bus stops, with housemates, such as family or friends. The cheapest renovated is 300k by yourself in a lower wealth neighborhood. 150k with housemates per bed bath in a lower wealth neighborhood. 400k renovated bedroom bathroom suite on bus stops with housemates in a higher wealth neighborhood. The average salary at the largest employer is 130k. Working a couple jobs for a couple years and only buying 3k yearly of groceries, you should have no mortgage within 4 years of focused and dedicated to financial freedom. No place else globally offers this type of mobility for black people.
Haha...I bought it from a jewelry store in Nassau, Bahamas called John Bull. I've had it for yearssss and it is my favourite piece. It's the tiniest gold cross, but I love it. Thanks for asking.
No, for most of them, you are not. But, remember...I am talking about areas. There are homeowners who live in this area who rent out basements, rooms, cottages for much less. You just have to find them. I wouldn't suggest an apartment website. I would suggest walking the area on a Sunday and looking for "for rent" signs.
I didn't forget Navy Yard. I just chose not to put it on here. Not sure if you are aware, but residents have been complaining like crazy about the crazy amount of block parties, noise and crime that had been going on in the area.

I just moved out of DC after 58(!) years - yes, I’m a DC native. My favorite neighborhoods: Logan Circle, Southwest/the waterfront, and Brookland
