Excellent info. If there was one thing I could change on the cub, it would be this. Sometimes I wish it had a regular old key for starting and locking.
Yes! Besides the price, the major knock against this bike is the key fob. Many people think Honda strayed too far from simplicity of the original Cub. On the flip side, and I’m not defending the idea, but I think it would be even MORE egregious if they asked for 6k and it only came with a basic key with no electric switches. Anwyays, thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! Thanks!🙏
@@Brianshydroheaven Thanks for the sub! We don’t have many of the older Cubs here in the states. They’re not rare per se, but you’re going to pay for one if you find one. I’m sure you know more about Cubs than I do with all that experience!
@@Yoshi-Mooch my first motorcycle when I was a kid was a Honda C70. Now I’ve come full circle and buy them when I see them on marketplace. @@Brianshydroheaven I feel the same! Unfortunately, marketplace in the states has gotten RIDICULOUS with what people are asking. A vehicle I sold in 2001 for $500… The owner is now asking $5000 in worse condition!!

SO the anti theft system is draining battery from the bike ? Isn't it dangerous to deactivate the anti theft system ? Myabe just in your garage not in town ?
So when the LED on the motorbike is still on, I press the button (either when the knob is in the off or locked position) and after that I long press the key-symbol button on the keyfob until the the LED of the keyfob turns red. It is so strange my manual (the printed one) doesn’t mention this method and also they are showing a different keyfob in there (with three physical buttons)
@@Yoshi-Mooch I have the C125A and I’m located in Germany. I have the keyfob with two buttons, but my Honda manual shows only the one with three buttons 😂
@@Yoshi-Mooch I hope you'll get a Dax on your market. It's really nice motorcycle. On the other hand we do not have a Hunter Cub in Europe. If we would I'm sure I'd like to buy one :).
@@306Geni I’m saving my spare change for on when we do get the Dax. That is actually shocking that you don’t have the hunter cub!!! Honda is weird like that! I bet it would sell great in that market.
@@Yoshi-Mooch I also wonder why their market policy is so weird. More of it we have a Super Cub, but only in mate black. Strange for a bike that refers to classic Cub.
A PROPER battery tender is the Noco1. The NOCO5 has a Repair Mode which truly works. Fully charge the battery then enter Repair mode and let run its 4hr cycle. My original PowerSport battery is reliably starting the Cub even in Winter.
Dude, thank you for the info. I thought about getting a Honda one, but I already have one from Harley Davidson which will work. But now that you’ve told me about the Noco1 I’m definitely going to look into it! Thanks for the comment and sharing this with us all!
How do tou simply just activate the anti theft i found the instructions impossible and somtimes i simlpy cannot turn the ignition really wish there was just a key Patrick

I considered buying a Super Cub, but didn't liked that keyless sytem. Finally I've bought a Dax which has traditional ignition switch and key.

:Yoshi-Mooch: I would like to order a Yoshimura Exhaust System for my 2020 Cub. Where can I order? Thank you. Oscar R.
You can do it directly from Yoshimura’s website! It’ll say 2019, but it will fit! Good luck!
Thank you Yoshi-Mooch.

You have to turn ignition to the locked position. You’ll hear anti theft beep kick in when you get more than 10 feet or so from the bike
just make it simple with a kick start as back up.
@@eugeneteo9664 As I’ve said before, Honda is not going to put 75+ year old tech in their “modern” incarnation of the Cub. Thanks for the comment. 🙏

LOL! Not my wife!
Nope..still drains... Ill just put a on off switch on ground side...
If you have a 2022 or later, this is the recommended fix from the service manual if you have a bike before then this won’t work
