@@j.a.e188 I like carpet more beacuse i tend to throw a little harder then people and i feel like i have more control to make the bag do what i want to do
@@j.a.e188 I used to throw vikings a lot but have switched to costello x I feel like it is a more hole friendly bag for me and I still can do everything I want it to do if that makes sense
Thank you so much I’ve been trying to learn how to back load a bag for a few months now every time I tried I it came out looking like a reverse cut shot now I’m finally seeing progress ❤
I was at an ACO open last week (never doing that again, lol) and was rolling really well coming out to in with my arm angle. Keeping a straight arm and turning the door nob doesn't really work with me
I got the backload down and everything else for the roll except the accuracy. Any tips on getting a consistent release point so the bag gets the correct height? I am finding my bag height varies so much that sometimes I frontboard and other times I completely sail over the board. Right now, about 1 in 8 hits just right and goes in. I know practice will help, but I want to practice good habits, not just wing it down there and hope it turns out well! I would also add that the roll bag feels much more like you are pushing the bag with your shoulder/elbow rather than snapping to get spin like the technique for the flat bag.
Honestly I throw it the same as I would same power and everything keep my body straight just get a backload still hard for me to get consistent because I tend to lean but if I stay straight I am fine
@@gunnerbriz OK, thanks. I have heard it can take a few months to get a roll bag down. I just learned the technique a couple days ago and only have a couple hours of practice with it. I guess the accuracy will come with more reps.
This was helpful, thank you. I have 2 questions When you set yourself in the pitcher box, does your chest face the hole or the pitcher box racross from you? Also, I keep hitting my hip when I throw, I throw with my right hand, left foot forward, any tips?
I focus on pointing my shoulders towards the board and carry forward momentum and I had an issue with hitting my leg that’s why I also drop the bag down rather then holding it flat so it’s more skinny it will make more sense if you watch my flat bag video
I have been playing around 11 months and I have always loved it saw it on tv a couple times but just thought it was mainly a backyard sport then my cousin started playing then I started 2 months after and have never looked back
Hey Gunner, I can get the back tilt but when it hits the board, it has no energy to go end over end. Are you throwing with the same force as you do with your normal slide shot?
First of all - i wish i could throw this like you... but all i get is a flat bag. I wonder if you are subconsciously following through a different way than you discussed (pinky in air with door handle twist). With your second throw - I stopped the video at 2:14 and saw that you got your thumb in the air and pointer finger level with the ground (as it should), but with the other 3 fingers curled in your palm, below your pointer finger, and with your hand moving to the left. I see this when ppl are trying to spin the bag as it rolls of their pointer finger. However, you were able to achieve a back-loaded toss. I wish you could slow-mo your throw so i can see more detail of how you are doing this...
Hey man, no matter how hard I try or what I try my bag in the air always has at least some wobble in it and I just can’t figure out how to fix it. Do you have any tips.
I like the vid! How much do bags matter when it comes to tournaments/leagues? I want to get into a league, been playing pretty well lately but I’m using like the regular bags that came with my board 😅
Bags matter quite a bit there are two sides to every bag there is a slow side and a fast side they are all different speeds and different materials some play better when the boards are dry some play better in humidity some are more floppy others are more full it really comes down to what you like and how you throw each set of bags I would recommend going to a tournament and just throw all kinds off different bags people have till you figure out what you like and what you don’t like
So, do you actually use your fingers and thumb to push the bag out of your hand? Or are you using your palm to push the bag and your fingers are more like a guide? I hope that makes sense.
I love them they are my go to bag I would highly recommend getting them or at least trying them if someone has them and if you do decide to get some use my code Briz10 for 10% off
If you guys have any questions drop them down in the comments
What's your favourite type of bags to play with?

Love the explanation of the throw. I’ve been working on this for awhile. I’m going to work more on the elbow movement thanks to you.
You are welcome glad it could help

This is a great video broski keep it up! If you got tips on hitting the side door hard cut I’m interested
What do u mean side door hard cut can you explain and maybe I can help?
@@gunnerbriz so basically how do you throw a sharp cut, I would imagine this would have a lot to do with the type of bag

how come your not playing another aco and I mean whatever works for you to roll I am sure there are a ton of different ways people do it
Question: do you get to use your own bags in cornhole tournaments?
Yes you do if you play acl tournaments and not just local tourneys you have to have an acl stamped bag

Wear tight shorts or pants nothing loose

I would say it depends how big the pile is to roll over is it one bag or a lot of bags if it’s not getting over I would throw it a little harder
@gunnerbriz my bags mostly skip over the blockers, so it'll sometimes go past the hole.

How much spin are you getting on your bag? Maybe send me a video on instagram so i can see?
@@gunnerbriz no matter how much I spin it I can’t fix it. I think it might be from pushing off with my fingers wrong. Next time I play I can record it

I would say for a roll I feel like it’s almost palm more and the fingers just create the spin but mainly snapping the wrist and getting under the bag
How ya liking those x's?
